Forgiveness (5)

As everyone clapped, Rhea gasped.  How did she not make the connection when she got here?   The artist Luna Willow was her sister. Her alias had her own name in it, how did she not realize it until this moment.

The door opened to an applause from the crowd.  Willow’s red wine dress contoured her body perfectly before spreading out to the ground.  The slit in her dress showed her right leg as she walked. The sweetheart dress covered just enough of her breast, however anyone taller than her would see her cleavage. Her hair was in soft waves and swept to one side, showing off her long neck.

By the time Rhea realized that the beautiful woman on stage was her sister, Willow had already made a speech and made her way down the steps.  The crowd surged towards Willow to get her attention and it wasn’t until another hour passed that Willow made her way towards Rhea.

“Surprise!”  Willow said as she walked towards Rhea and hugged her tightly.

“What a surprise in deed!  Why didn’t you tell me that you’re the famous Luna Willow!”

Willow pulled back and smiled at Rhea.

“Because, I just wanted to be your sister, when I’m with you.”  Willow told her.

“Of course, your my little sister!  Even with or without your fame.”

“Good.  You can’t take it back!”  Willow smiled again before hugging Rhea a second time.  “It’s good to see you again Gage. Blaine.”

Willow shook both of Gage and Blaine’s hand professionally and gave them a courteous smile.

“Thank you so much for coming, it means a lot to me that you guys could make it.”

“Of course!  I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”  Gage told. “I’m glad to see that you’re doing well for yourself.”

“Thanks!  I also want to thank you for taking care of Rhea over the years.  I’m glad you guys have each other.”

“Of course, I love her after all.”

“Excuse me, Willow.”  Sable interrupted. “We have a couple of buyers who want to speak to you.”

Willow turned to the group and smile apologetically.

“I gotta go.”

“Of course!  Go. Go.” Rhea said as she understood the situation.

“If I don’t catch up with you later tonight, I’ll call you tomorrow morning?  We can do lunch, maybe?”

Rhea nodded her head.

“Lunch sounds wonderful!”

“I’m so happy to see you again, Rhea.”  Willow said as she gave Rhea one last hug before leaving.

The three of them looked as Willow got lost in the crowd.  Her grand opening was a success, as they were there to witness it.

“She’s grown up so much.”  Rhea said as Gage held her close to his body.

“She has.”  Gage agreed.

“She looks happy.”

“She does.”  Gage agreed again.

“She’s so beautiful.”

“Not as beautiful as you.”  Gage told her.

“Lets stay for a while, then leave.”  Rhea suggested. “Tonight, is her night, let’s enjoy it with her.”

As Gage and Rhea spoke to each other, the silent person next to them was stewing in his own vinegar barrel.  The moment he saw her again, he knew he met his other half. The feelings that flooded through him were so strong and so real that it almost brought him to his knees.  How could he be so blind and not recognize her for who she truly is? How could he have wasted five years apart from her.

What he thought was love for Rhea was not the same as the love he felt for Willow.  His love for Willow, transcended time and space and it was only now that he saw her that he realize how profound his love for her was.

His eyes followed Willow through the crowd and saw her beauty and her gace.  He saw her elegance and and strength. With one look he knew her character and her actions.  Her soul called out to him, just like his soul called out to her.

But he also saw how others looked at her, as if she was a lamb for them to take.  Feeling as if Willow could be taken from him, he endured in silence around Rhea and Gage.  Once Rhea and Gage decided to leave, Blaine told them that he would stay to network. Seeing how his excuse was plausible, they left Blaine behind.

[You’re slag lover is being a creeper again.]  Scam told her as he watched Blaine hide himself in a corner and stare at Willow’s every movement.  When she entered another room, so did he.

“Let him be a creeper.  In this storyline, he messed up.”

[You going to play with him for a bit?]

“Just for a while.”  Raine told Scam. “Then we’ll leave.”

[You sure?  You just found him.]

“And we’ll find each other again, in the next life.”   Raine told him.

That night Willow continued with her hosting until the art gallery ended.  Most of her pieces were sold and the art gallery would be showing her work for the next two weeks.

When Willow walked out of the back door of the art gallery, she was stopped by the sound of a voice that called out to her desperately.

“Willow!”  Blaine called out.

Willow, her two assistants, and her driver looked over to the dark corner and saw Blaine step out.  Her driver immediately reached for the handgun on his belt and pushed the women behind him.

“It’s okay.”  Willow tells them as she moved out from behind Hayden.  “I know him.”

Hayden, her driver, let go of the handgun and fixed his suit jacket.

“What do you want to do, Ms. Willow?”

“You guys get inside of the car, I’ll speak to him for a moment.”

The three of them did what Willow ordered and waited for her.  Willow waited in front of the car as Blaine walked towards her.

“Can we talk?”  Blaine asked.

“You have two minutes.”  Willow tells him.

“What I need to say to you needs more time than two minutes.”

“1 minute 45 seconds.”  Willow counted down.

“Please.  Give me more time.  I need to properly speak to you.”

“1 minute 30 seconds.”

Blaine growled in frustration as he brushed his hair back and looked away.  Willow was just as stubborn as he remembered.

“1 minute.”

“Arrgh…. can we go grab a cup of coffee?”  Blaine finally said as he gave in to her. “Maybe we can do lunch or dinner?”

“Why?”

“Because…”  Blaine began to panic and worry that she’ll turn him down.  “I need to see you again.”

“So I can remind you of my sister?  If you want to see her, you can always visit her.”

Blaine felt his guts being pulled out by her words.  Yes, he made his mistake, but now everything’s changed.  She was nothing like her sister.

“No, you’re nothing like your sister…”

“And that’s why you broke up with me, because I wasn’t her.”

“Because it wasn’t fair for you and for me that we carry on our relationship under false pretenses.”

“Then why do you need to speak to me, when you’ve made it completely clear that you only approached me, dated me, and broke up with me, because I wasn’t her.  Why are we standing here, Blaine?”

“Because…. “  Blaine said before not finishing his words.  He couldn’t just say it out loud. Not now. Willow wouldn’t understand how he feels.

“Goodnight, Blaine. You’re minute is up.”  Willow told him as she walked away.

Just when she reached the door to the car he spoke up.

“I like you!”  Blaine blurted out in desperation.  “I like you, for you.  The moment I saw you tonight, I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, I like you, Willow.  And deep down inside, without me even knowing, I love you. Call me crazy, but I know, I can feel it.... I’ve always loved you.  So tell me, Willow, why is it that I love you so much? Why is it that I know that I love you since forever and I can love you through space and time?”

Raine suddenly teared up and quickly wiped away her tears.  Lui Wei, her slag of a lover always knew the right words to say to her.  When can he remember her and all of their lives together?

“You have to figure that out yourself.”  Raine told him. “It wouldn’t mean anything, if I told you all the answers.”

Raine entered the car and they left, leaving Blaine alone.   Blaine watched as Willow drove away, further and further, until she was completely out of sight.

Blaine made his way home and directly went to bed after he stripped out of his clothes.  When he slept, he dreamt. And what he dreamt about, caused him so much happiness because he was with her once again.

“Raine.”  Blaine whispered.  “Raine.”
