Raine watched and waited with a blank look on her face, not caring if Mina was hurt, tired or dying.  She felt no remorse for her actions and had no urge to help Mina.

As the scene unfolded, Raine went through the System Market Place, looking through permanent items that she can attach to herself.  

[Permanent items can only be bought in a System’s Space.  If they are bought in a mission world, they will only last during that mission.]

Raine nodded her head in understanding and closed the transparent screen it was about time that the male protagonist shows up.  Mina is close to dying.

On cue, Luvon shows up right on time and duels with the bear.  Raine uses her skills to connect with the bear and with her guidance, she is able to help the bear get a good couple of claws and bites into the male protagonist before running way.  

“Are you alright, Mina?”  Luvon asked as he held his chest with one hand and his waist with another hand.  

“I… I’m okay…  Thank you for saving me, Luvon.”  Mina said as she slowly sat up and began to open her pouch.  “You’re hurt. Let me help heal you.”

Luvon nodded his head and begins to strip his ragged clothing off.  His wounds were deep, however with the longevity of an Elf, he was nowhere near being close to death.  

As Mina spreads the healing cream on Luvon, a pink tint flushes across her face.  Her hands were shaky, but she endured and kept her mind on her job.

“Come out!”  Luvon shouted as he looked around.  When no one came out, Luvon frowned.  “I know you’re there!”

[Dame male protagonist and their heightened sense of awareness.]  Scam complained.

However Raine did not step out as he said, she sat still and waited.  

[Are you not going down?]  

“Hell no.”  Raine told Scam in her head.  “If he wants to see me, he has to find me.  No one calls me out, to come to him like a dog.”  

Scam smiled, before transforming himself as a black puma.  

“Kitty, you’ve grown.”  Raine teased Scam. “How thoughtful of you to change just in case our hiding spot is uncovered.”  

[~~~~ grrrrr ~~~~~~]  

Raine smile at Scam and looked back at the scene before her.  

“I’ll give you one more chance.  Come out, before I’ll make you come out.”  Luvon warned for the last time.

Mina took her hands off of Luvon and began applying the healing cream to her wounds.  Her eyes looked all around her to see if there was anyone there, but there was nothing she could see.  She began to have a creepy feeling overcome her senses as if she was being watched.

“Let’s just go.”  Mina said as she tugged on Luvon’s wrist.  “It doesn’t feel right.”

“I’m not running away.”  Luvon told her as he removed her hand on him.  

“Lets go now.”  Mina encouraged him.  “Listen, Luvon. Listen.”  

Luvon stood still and listened, but he couldn’t hear anything.  

“Can you hear it?”  Mina asked.

“Hear what?  I don’t hear anything.”  

“Exactly.  Nothing. No chirping birds, no rustling bushes, no animals at all.  It’s too quiet. Like the calm before the storm.” Mina told him.

Luvon frowned for a moment before taking Mina’s hand and they began to run away.  

Raine watched the running pair and stayed still.  Her senses were telling her something big was going to happen.  But she wasn’t scared. In fact, she looked forward to what was going to happen next.  

From her left, 50 yards away, a tree lightly shook as a woman jumped down and followed Luvon and Mina.  

Raine was just about to ask Scam who that was, when he answered for her.  

[Female protagonist.  Kilyn. In the past life, after Luvon killed Lyrei, Kilyn witnessed the whole incident and stayed behind after Luvon took all your treasures.  Afterwards, she found a treasure that caused her to become just as powerful as Luvon.]

“Now that she’s gone, I’ll collect on the treasure myself.”  Raine told Scam.

Raine waited for another 5 minutes before the biggest tree in front of her began to shake.  It’s trunk began to crack from the root to the highest tip of the tree. From within the tree, the outer layers of the trunk peeled back and out came a glowing golden stone shaped into a perfect sphere.  

Raine launched out of her spot and ran towards the treasure.  She could see from the corner of her eye that another person was trying to reach the golden stone.  Raine pumped her legs faster, had it not been for her upgraded endurance, speed and strength, she would have lost with Lyrei’s body.  

Raine reached out to the golden stone and quickly placed it inside of her S Level Space Ring and brought out Transcendence.  Raine swung the sword and was blocked by the handsome man, twice her size and height.

“Lyrei.”  The man said as his smile tightened.  “You’ve hidden yourself very well. Never would I have thought you would be so devious and scheming.”  

Raine didn’t care what his opinion of her was, she began to fight him back.  Raine swung her sword again, this time slicing his chest. His wound opened up and blood poured down to the ground.    

“Not only are you devious and scheming, you’re also very good at fighting… a woman of my own heart.”  He said as he laughed as jumped back, away from Raine, while pulling out his sword.

Raine charged forward and swung at him again, her sword made contact and with his sword.  However her sword cut through his sword as if it was nothing.

“Not even going to give me a chance to run away are you?”  He called out as he sneered at her. “Very well, I’ll just end you instead.”  

The man pushed his powers our and shot a fire ball out towards Raine.  Raine dodged to the left, almost slamming into a tree. Raine hid behind the tree as more fireballs are launched towards her.  

“Isn’t he a Wood Elf?  How can he control fire?  Scam, is he another Host?”  Raine asked as she hide behind the tree and began to gather her Natural Magic into the trees around her.  

[I’m scanning for his System, give me a moment.  The other System is hiding itself very well.]

“I’m going to make my move, once I do, I’ll corner the Host and once the System shows up, you immobilize his System.”  

[Got it.]  

Raine waited for the right moment before she made her move.  The man’s Natural Magic stopped for one moment to gather more Natural Magic.  Raine took this time to unleash her own Natural Magic. The trees around him uprooted and moved towards him.  Tying him down with their roots. No matter how he struggled, the roots squeezed around him tighter. Fire came out of his fists, but they were soon buried in mud.  Every time he shot out fire, the mud harden even more.

The man began to panic as the ground under him opened up.  He called upon the lightning and began to shoot lightning down on to the trees, in hopes of stopping the trees.  

Raine came out from behind her tree and watched as the man was brought down into the ground.  Suddenly she was pinned down by a bear, from behind. It roared loudly before it opened its mouth to chomp down on her head.  

As soon as the bear moved, his body was suddenly slammed into, from the side.  The black puma had grown four times its size, towering over the bear. It pinned the bear down and Raine rolled over to her feet running towards the fighting animals.  

The black puma held the bear’s neck in it’s jaws as Raine grabbed a hold on to the bear with one hand and the puma in the other hand.  She began siphoning everything belonging to the system and into Scam. The bear roared loudly, trying to fight the erasing of it’s system that it tried to turn into a bird and fly away, but Raine had a good grip on the system and didn’t let go of her hold.

Raine took everything from the system and gave it to Scam.  Once the system was empty, Raine let go and the bird fell on the ground, lifeless.  

“What kind of a system was it?”  Raine asked as Scam turned into a regular sized puma.  

“ ‘Second Male Lead’ System.”  Scam told her as he looked over Raine’s shoulders and saw that the man had been buried by the trees and the ground was slowly covering itself up as if nothing had happened.  

“He was supposed to help the female protagonist get the Golden Stone of Knowledge.”  Scam told her. “With knowledge, the female protagonist became more knowledgeable on how to raise her own magic inside of her to become more powerful.  This is how she could stand side by side next to the male protagonist and be his wife.”

Raine quickly ran away from the scene.  She knew that the loud noises and fight would cause the other elves to investigate.  As she ran, she had Scam scan her surroundings for other elves and look out for a cave for them to rest in.  

Thirty minutes later, Raine entered a cave and saw that the first 10 miles of the cave was free of wild animals and Elves.  She walked 5 miles into the cave and took out the Golden Stone. The Golden Stone lit the dark cave with light as Raine began to absorb the power inside of the Golden Stone.  

Within five minutes the golden light disappeared and it grew cold.  

[You’ve already absorbed 50,000 years of knowledge!]  Scam shouted with awe and horror. His Host was some kind of a monster.
