Broken Home (4)
Violet left and never came back for 8 years. The senior year of high school that they were supposed to spend together, never happened. It was only two weeks after senior year started, that he found out that Violet had tested out of high school and graduated early. She was already attending college courses during the summer, right after she moved out.
Not only that, but she also moved out of her condo and attended college in another country. The only update that he had of her at first was the birthday presents and holiday presents that she sent to them. Later, he was able to read about all of her accomplishments through the fashion and business section of the newspaper and in magazines.
Violet attended college and started her own fashion line called Luna. Her designs were new and innovative and quickly became a successful brand that the youth and young women couldn’t get enough of. With designs that no one has ever seen before, she was able to become the leading designer in the fashion world.
As Luna’s popularity grew, so did Violet’s business, she began to buy the rights to other businesses. Violet’s small business, Luna, became Luna Corporation, with several other businesses in the fashion, winery, and hotel industry under its umbrella.
When Violet finally came back, 8 years passed by. It was Tyler’s 50th birthday celebration that was being held in one of her hotels. The party was already in full swing, it was packed with over 200 people.
When Violet entered, no one really noticed her entrance. There was music playing the the background and several people moving, standing and dancing.
It was only when she sat down at the head of the table, in the empty seat that Tyler always saved for her, in hopes that she would attend his birthday banquets, that he and everyone else noticed her.
Violet’s once long blonde hair that reached her waist was now a long bob, that barely touched her shoulders. Her soft feminine features, held an air of soficiation and experience. Her green eyes, hid all of her emotions and held a cold air about her.
The black dress she wore, was her own design, made from the finest silk satin chiffon. The dress looked modest in the front, covering her chest, shoulders and arms. However the back of the dress was cut deep, showing off her shoulder blades, back and waist. The dress hugged her body tightly, showing off all of her curves.
Her left and right wrists had a three inch diamond cuff, while her gold, diamond tear drop, dangling earrings were as long as her hair. Every time she moved her head, her earrings moved along with her, causing those that looked at her to be hypnotized.
“You finally know how to come home.” Tyler grunted once he finally believed that the Violet who sat next to him was really Violet and not his imagination.
“Yes, it’s good to see you too Father.” Violet said as she gave a polite smile to everyone. “Happy Birthday.”
“Better late than never, I guess.” Tyler grumbled as he took the present that Violet handed to him.
Tyler opened the gift and it was a jade tea set. With just a look, he knew the jade tea set was valuable and priceless. It had a royal seal that belonged to a King on it.
“King Wang Lu Long gifted this tea set to his Grand Tutor, Du Guiying. It has been passed down from generation to generation, how were you able to get your hands on it?” Tyler asked as he lightly touched the royal seal.
“Not every generation is as prosperous as the last generation. A friend of a friend knows their family and before they were going to put it into auction, I gave them an amount that they couldn’t refuse.”
“Violet. I…. don’t know what to say.” Tyler said as he suddenly became speechless.
“A ‘thank you’ should suffice.”
“Thank you. I… love it.”
“You’re welcome.” Violet said.
Tyler wanted to speak to Violet more, however there were several people standing by to speak to her. Once her attention was taken away, Tyler was not able to interfere and pull her away from the crowd that surrounded her.
After two hours, Tyler turned towards York and told him to save Violet, or Violet would be standing there until the night ended. York stood up and made his way through the crowd, pushing men away and once he reached Violet’s side, he could no longer hold his actions back.
His hand came around her and touched her back. His warm hand touched her back and traced her spine until it stopped at the small of her back.
Every inch he touched, felt so soft that it lit a fire within him. A strong will to claim her and make her stay beside him caused him to completely forget about manners and reason.
Without a word, he maneuvered them through the crowd and away from the party. York lead them to the terrence where there were less people, however he didn’t stop there. He lead her down the stairs and into the garden. As they walked further away from the party, the sound of music and talking began to disappear.
The thick, angry sexual tension could be felt as they walked deeper into the garden. Her succubus was absorbing the sexual energy and was begging for more.
However to Raine, she wasn’t going to give in to York so soon. She was still mad at Valentin’s soul for making her fail her last mission, she had to teach him a lesson. She left the country so there was no way they could meet and start a relationship.
When she began her career, she thought it would be fun, who would have thought it would snowball into a corporation with several business under its name. After eight years of hard work, she had earned enough to live a lazy life and quietly resigned. She still held the largest share of the company, however she no longer manage or ran her company. Even her fashion brand that she started, there is another designer who took over her role as Head Designer.
With her hands finally clean of work, her pockets full of money, she decided she punished Valentin’s soul long enough for his misdeed towards her. However she still needed to teach him many other lessons. He needed to learn that she won’t always do what he wants. He also needs to learn how to properly court her and treat her well before they can be together. If he wants to follow her through every transmigration, he would need to learn how to listen to her, treat her well and respect her decisions.
When they finally stopped, it was at the end of the garden. There were no trails leading out except the way they came.
