Chapter 49 : Long Story short...he went out for Milk.
RYAN
"He just left with her?!" Asher literally screams in my ear for the fifth time. I'm too panicked to tolerate this.
I witnessed it, he picked her up and just left, I couldn't follow because of all his body guards.
Now I'm so anxious about what he's going to do to her. We registered her under Alejandro's supposed daughter's name...that's fraud and he is a very powerful man, he'd have my head if I looked at him the wrong way. Imagine what he'll do to me then?
We only used this name because the man hasn't been seen in eighteen years, we thought he'd disappeared. The whole world thought he had disappeared.
I was so caught up in keeping Brandy's mouth shut, I forgot to warn her about this. Now she's gone, because of me she might be dead by sundown.
"What if she's being tortured?!" Mia exclaims visibly shaking, Amber has been glaring at me from the corner since this happened, I can't take this. I'm already under so much pressure.
"Would you stop looking at me like that?!" I burst out angrily.
She steps out of the dark space and shouts angrily, "This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you! You took her from the laundromat. You decided that it would be fun to play with her and drive her nuts! You're the one that took her to the school in the first place! You gave her Alejandro's name! You got her into this mess! If she..."
Her eyes are filled with tears and she chokes on her words, "She could be dead tonight, because of you."
Something like lead pushes down on me. She could die, and it would all be because of me.
"To make matters worse, you cheat on her continuously with the school slut! She loves you so much and you do all of this to her and for what? A good grade?!" Mia continues walking up to me, her glare intimidating yet so broken and so sad.
"Could we not talk about this right now?" I say, fighting back my fury.
I earn a hard slap from the angry woman in front of me. My head turned to the side painfully. My cheek starts to burn and so do my hands because of how furious I am.
"THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU! FOR ONCE WHEN WILL YOU SEE THAT!" She screeches, anger literally rolling off of her shoulders her eyes becoming blood shot.
"WELL DON'T FORGET YOUR DEBT! YOU OWE ME REMEMBER?!!" I know that that was out of line.
But I can't help it.
"That wasn't cool of you Ryan. After what happened to Rose, I thought you'd change."
When Zac says this, it feels like my whole world has shattered. He's my best friend in the whole world and when he's disappointed in me...it's a nasty feeling.
I have really fucked up.
"Let's go find her. It seems as if he doesn't care. Oh and when we get her back, we're all telling her the truth" Asher says angrily, still embracing a sobbing Amber.
They all give me painful glares as they walk out into the rain and I am left alone in an empty school , the lights dimming.
Not knowing what to do or how I'll get her back.
ANGEL
My head still hurts from hitting that large man.
Turns out it was a very tough muscly man.
Alejandro here said that it was his bodyguard of many.
I'm scared to death now because he knows that I've been claiming to be his daughter.
I have never felt so much power radiating off of a person before, even when he sits across from me smiling in his large office chair, I am baffled by the atmosphere.
An office painted red, probably used to emphasize that he painted this room with the blood of his enemies, I'm still terrified of him.
More even because of how happy he is.
The rain hitting the floor to ceiling window behind him is the only sound filling the silence.
He notices my nervousness and tries very hard to remove it.
"Calm down. I'm not going to kill you or anything."
I breathe in and out slowly and ask the question that has been stuck in my head the entire time.
"How can you say that you're my father, yet you have never met me?"
His smile falters as he considers this question.
Oh and when I regained consciousness he said that my eyes are just like my mother's.
Weird expression.
Then said that he's my father.
"Do you know why I came out of hiding all of a sudden? You must have known that I've been in hiding for many years. The whole world knows that."
I nod and tilt my head, trying to think of how to respond to two questions.
"Well, your school told me that my daughter was detained. They found it strange that after all these years, I'm enrolling my daughter in a school like this one yet I have not come out of my house all this time."
"I thought to myself, wow someone has the audacity to use my daughter's name as if it were theirs. As far as the world is concerned...my daughter is non existent. But in truth, I have a daughter, she went missing seventeen years ago when her mother selfishly hid her from me."
I flinch at the dramatic voice raise.
"And since then I have been overwhelmed by pain and anger, searching tirelessly for her and here is a teenager pretending to be her. I was furious, I'll admit. I would have slit your throat at first contact actually."
I gulp loudly, rubbing my neck nervously.
"But, when I saw your eyes...they reminded me of her. Darlene Princeton."
That's her name, I can't believe that she made me take her maiden name.
"We met when we were in our late twentys, she was in love with me and thought herself to be my queen. She was the maid, I slept with her once and she became pregnant. I discovered after you were born that she was bipolar. I didn't want anyone knowing that she was your mother but I had to give you to her at some point. She still worked for me after all, so I thought it convenient to keep her around. Whenever I left her with you, I'd come back hearing your cries. We argued one night, I told her that I didn't love her and that she is crazy. She threatened to kill us both one day, she had proven many times to me how dangerous she truly is. I took you and made sure that you were always in my room and I never slept knowing that she was still roaming around. I fell asleep once and then you were gone. After a whole year of knowing you, you were taken away from me. Living for so long with the knowledge that I might never see you again."
I try to stifle my sobs when I hear this. If he knows her name then surely it's him.
"That is the saddest thing I've ever heard." I say in between, drying my eyes with the back of my hand.
He stands from his large chair and walks up to me, kneeling down so that he can be at my level.
"I missed you mi amor. It's been so long since I last saw you. Please understand that I didn't abandon you. I've looked for you since the day you disappeared."
The tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down my face. I feel the muscles of my chin tremble like a small child and I look down into his dim glassy blue eyes, as if the light could soothe me. I'm so used to crying when I'm hurt, it's what's kept me alive.
Now that I can cry out of joy, anger and sadness, I am overwhelmed with the idea of actually being wanted.
Here he is, the man I spend half of my time thinking of when I can't yell at my mother for being cruel.
I'm no longer filled with this constant fear, constant stress I live with.
He is the one who could have taught me how to ride a bike, or fix a tire or the one who could walk me down the aisle on day.
I hear my own sounds, muffled as he embraces me, my shaking ceasing as I finally find release and a moment of calm.

I step out of my new bedroom in nice fitting pyjamas, that were surprisingly waiting for me the entire time to find him standing his back to the wall.
Realization strikes me.
"I need to let Ryan know that I'm okay." His face turns from happy to disgusted in minutes.
"About your Ryan fella. There's someone here I happened to find."
Is he talking about Ryan? He's here?
He gestures for me to follow him and I do so, down a dark hallway.
**********************************************************
We stop in front of a large door guarded by three men. Hello men in black.
It creeks as it opens and we continue down an even darker hallway. I hear muffled yells and screaming and realize that we're in a dungeon of some sort.
Had no idea people still had those, all though Ryan said every Mafia house has one.
I've never seen ours...wonder if somebody's in th-
My heart beats louder than a drum when I see that face again, my breathing unsteady.
Her legs a crossed as she smiles up at us.
She's a complete stranger in my eyes, yet so lovely even in such a dirty prison.
"You must be Angel." She says jumping up from her spot on the floor stretching her hand out through the bars of her dingy cell.
