Prologue

Prologue

She sat by the window, as the chilly air blew on her face. She had finished yet another show of her Radio show, Late Nights With Annie.

She was young, wild, independent and free. She was alone, but happy. She was broken, but strong. She loved being Annie and Anika. Because she loved Nights.

When the twilight faded to blackness it lit a fire inside her guts. The serenity, the simplicity, the secrecy, that was night.

She was an RJ and her show was usually dedicated to the late nighters, waiting for the answers to questions of their lives. She was broken, but she healed herself by helping others, because everytime she became Anika, her mind went back to him.

He massaged his forehead with his hands, how much he missed her. If she was here, she would have been there, given him the massage, talked about anything, in short made him lighten up. But here he was, alone in a place he never wanted to be.

All the time, he had been listening to his favourite radio show, Late Nights with Annie. There was something about this show that calmed him, made him lighten up just the way she would have and that's why, no matter how tired he was, he wouldn't miss a podcast.

One reason why he felt lightened up, listening to her was because he could feel a familiar loneliness, a familiar pain, a familiar complain, in her voice, that reminded him that maybe, he's not alone.

She loved Nights, he remembered, and now even he did, because he loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Late Nights, because looking up, they knew, they were under the same sky.

They had a past, as dark as night, except they were those stars that failed to remember that without the darkness there wouldn't be any stars.

Parting ways, they thought they made the right decision, but they doubt they ever did.

They were driven by success, by ambition, but leaving each other, they realised their drive only worked if the had the fuel of love.

She felt it was love, he felt it was love.
She knew it was love, he knew it was love.
But little did they know, that even the sun has to give up its light for the moon.

Leaning, they both stared at the moon, as if trying to find each other there. But they should have known, that the moment they find themselves back, they'd find each other back too.

Because being Annie and Anika was difficult. Because being Shivaay and Shivaay Singh Oberoi was as difficult.
They both fell in love with the late nights.

So, any late nighters here?
Well, I am a night owl, but here Shivaay and Anika are both going to show what this night holds for everyone!

My imagination, so I don't know how it is, but tell me how it turned out to be! I know the prologue is short but I will update this book very regularly.

Also, it isn't really a long book, just a few shots, so not a FF but an SS.

XOXO,
Ishika❤️
