Blind and Bold
It took them a few days for Zeldris to lead Ban and Arthur to Purgatory and the way to get there. He couldn't explain it himself of how to get there; he just knows. Maybe all demons were born to know how to get to Purgatory.
Both Ban and Arthur were asked to close their eyes by Zeldris and they'll be there by his own hands. They did so and here they are now in what seems like an abandoned druid.
Rotting trees. Sand and crumbling dry dirt, flammable.
"Ack!" Ban places his hand over the painful pound in his head and neck.
"Meli....." He whispers, knowing exactly who is was and what it was.
"I sense them, but not Meliodas, it's like he just disappeared instantly without a trace..." Zeldris mutters to himself, but he was sure Ban was able to hear him.
They have finally entered Purgatory, but the humans reactions to it was death defyingly terrified.
They saw the decaying bones of ancient creatures such as dragons, warriors, and even the five races scattered all over. Sand, dust and dirt is wants left over the shriveled grass.
No life left...
"I don't understand..." Zeldris whispers to himself.
"I've never seen Purgatory this way, it's usually full of different creatures, but now it's.... Lifeless. A king would know better to balance the dead and living. Especially the king of the dead, unless..."
"Zeldris..." Arthur points to the large amount of magic that seeps from the dark, thick, shriveling trees of the shadows. The seeping of unnatural life that shouldn't have been the moment the life wheezes out of a living being. Leaving only flesh and blood behind, and the stench of rotting flesh after a period of time.
The dead living once more, mindless and controlled.
But it's seems the dead aren't targeting them, they are going to opposite direction they are headed.
Deeper into the forest is where the corpses and haunted souls go.
"We have to follow them, I feel the sharp pain getting stronger every step I take towards where those things are headed." Ban states, wasting no time and starts heading towards the dark forest. The thick trunks of the trees and the dark black and purple shade gaze of the purgatory moon makes him disappear all the more.
"Wait! Sir. Ban!!" Arthur attempts to jump forth, then try to sprint and catch up with Ban. But the moment he's gone, he stops in his tracks to think again.
Zeldris sighs, mentally rolling his eyes and black strands of his hair flow down over his cold black eyes.
"We better hurry, this place will drive us both insane in less than an hour."
"What do you mean?" Arthur asked.
"I mean what I meant. This place could blind us in a matter of minutes, I can only hold on to both of our sanities for so long."
Zeldris starts to speed walk down the dark forest where the dead head to, and Arthur keeps up with his swift movements.
"Zeldris?" Arthur coos in question.
"Zeldris?" He says a bit louder, and keeps on walking deeper into the woods he's never been into in his life, let alone leave Britannia.
He lost Zeldris...
"Zeldris!" Arthur starts to worry, he can defend himself, but what about Zeldris?
Why is he thinking about Zeldris? He's a human with a duty to become king, marry, and give a heir to the throne. He won't be able to linger around Zeldris for long, Merlin won't accept this. The demon even said that his own father won't accept it. But what is his father like?
Maybe if he's kind, he'll let him live with Zeldris for however long he wants.
Let him love his youngest son, maybe even show him how much he loves his that way. Care for him, be gentle for him, start out slow. Maybe even-
~
Zeldris turns to find Arthur not behind him, he looks around to every corner of his eyesight. Used his every ounce of his magic to sense his presence, but nothing receives.
"Arthur." Zeldris may have talked to himself.
"Arthur?" More deliberate tone, more pushing his voice out near the walking, wondering souls.
And then.... He heard groans, and grunts....
He turned to the nest corner of a thick tree trunk finding Ban sprinting to what looks like Meliodas, and then there's Hades. Whom is also going after Meliodas.
Zeldris could see Meliodas's head hit the back of the tree he lays his back on. He was in pain, and of course, it's that burden he carries with him every single day.
It's almost time, huh.... Zeldris thought to himself, for split second he saw Meliodas disappear. And so did the king of the dead.
Bans about to blow....
Better get away and find Arthur while he gives Ban some space, he'll get him later.
~
"Zeldris!" Arthur hollers out in the quiet forest, there's no walking soul around. Has he wondered off somewhere else, instead of following where Zeldris is going.
"Zeldris.... Please answer me." He whispers to himself. "I'm lonely..."
He felt his eyes burn and start to blurry his sight, he blinks and feels a warm drop go down between his lip. He purses his lips to taste a salty like taste of his own tear.
"Zeldris!" He screams again.
His breathing fell silent hearing the sound of flesh being bitten into, then the sound of crunching bones and raw meat.
Chills crawl up his back, knowing it's near by him.
The thick trees and it's darkness blocks his vision from seeing at all.
It's too dark, too terrifying.
His tongue numbed, and his hand slowly stalks to grip the handle of the sword at his side.
The chewing of flesh and bones continues. He starts to take small steps, taking in deep, slow breaths.
All out of nowhere his vary breath was taken from him, his body forced a ways from whatever was making the noise.
It was Zeldris who pushed him back against the bark, trunk of a tree. Holding a hand over Arthur's mouth, heavy breathing of the human continue.
"Shhhh..." Zeldris attempts to calm Arthur down, while the humans hand intertwines with his. Holding tight to his bare hand, squeezing on to the demons flesh. Clenching and releasing over and over. His hand tightens and holds on to the pressure of his stress all to his hand.
Intense, loud, what feels like time stopped itself when he started to hear death threatening stomps towards them, ever so slowly. He fatally whimpers in Zeldris's hand, loud enough for whatever it is to hear and it's speed accelerates rapidly, towards there direction.
Zeldris kept on hearing little cries and Arthur's body tensing, stiffening, panting. at this rate they'll be killed, a slow and painful death.
The demon swiftly brought Arthur down into a hug, then lightly kissing the humans neck, grazing his soft lips on the humans flesh. Then leading up to capture Arthur's lip, slowly devouring his breath away from hearing a ways in distance. Zeldris forces himself to push deeper, all the while Arthur attempted to take over; Pushing his tongue into Zeldris's mouth when the demons mouth was open and exposed for him to explore.
Before they could continue, Zeldris held Arthur's neck, holding him deeply in the kiss. Holding in their movements.
What the hell is wrong with him....
Kissing in a death threatening situation, what a joke... So pathetic...
Foot steps slow down, then slower, deep, heavy panting of the creatures instincts, then low growling.
It's too dark to see...
The creature continues it's way down to it's own business, leaving the area ever so slowly.
During that time, they both were in need or breath, air, anything to refill their lungs.
Both inhaling as much as they can, after they released each other in the deep kiss.(if you would even count that as one)
"What was that...?" Arthur whispers as quietly as he could, panting so lightly.
Zeldris merely inhales a quick breath, standing straight back up from his lazy slouching. "That I will explain somewhere else, come... We have to get out of here "
They swiftly and quietly escape. Zeldris touches his lips with the tip of his fingers.
Why did I like that so much...
~
Arthur and Zeldris make it out of the darker part of the forest, back to where Ban is. They could tell he was going through some things. His eyes baggy, tired, puffy, his nose red swollen. His lips plump; probably from bitting his own lips.
Arthur couldn't take Bans hurt he had to look away from a man crying for his loved one. It's fine for a man to cry, it only makes him more of a man.
"Zeldris..." Arthur starts. "Tell me, what was that place, what was that creature... I have so many questions, too many to count."
Zeldris looks up at the human reaching out his hand to touch Arthur's hair. He always wondered what his hair felt like.
It was as soft as it looks...
So smooth...
Shiny...
It smells good...
For once... He imagined himself below the future king, exposed and vulnerable. He being able to touch every square inch of his body, grazing his teeth and marking him...
Zeldris snapped out of it.
"Hm? Oh... Those things..." Zeldris looks away from Arthur, then back at him.
"Those were once human..."
Arthur didn't flinch, but his breath did hitch and hold for a few seconds.
"What?" His voice cracks.
His hands curl in fist, shivering and shaking till goosebumps formed on his skin.
"Those are possessed humans from millennia ago... They've done the same as those other humans did. Drinking demon blood, but a more ancient and more powerful one... It was only a matter of time..."
Zeldris takes in a deep breath when Arthur comes over to unexpectedly place his hand lightly on the demons shoulders.
"Now they are demons themselves, a forbidden kind. They had to be sealed away from Purgatory and any realm that has life in it.
"Those creatures eat anything that's running, breathing, or even the smallest eye movement is a deadly move. So, the demon clan sealed them, specifically the king of the dead. Making those things rest in a chamber for the rest of eternity."
The demons voice starts to rise in tone.
"Now, I don't know who the hell did, but I swear if I ever get my hands on them. I'll fucking kill them, feed them to those things!"
"What are these thing supposed to mean...? I don't understand what you're trying to say, I'll I know is that those monsters eat anything and kill, but is that it?" Arthur
"Thousands of years have passed, and only one is standing left of the heard of those filthy fools."
"Which means---?"
"He means that there's going to be a war, a battle." Ban intrudes.
"Precisely, and their numbers will grow rapidly."
Zeldris adds to Bans statement.
"A.... What again?" Arthur stutters, holding the pit in his throat, clumped and what feels like suffocating.
"Hades has released a deadly ancient creature that could doom all life from living." Zeldris starts.
"This means War..."
"But.... Why have you never told me about this before?"

I honestly have no idea what's going to happen, but as the arthor, I just have one goal with one ending to this story for Zeldris and Arthur. This book will be looooong, cause Merlin will be in it too.
Hope you enjoyed.
