It was Little's turn to sit guard outside their small platform while the others, Snowflake, Blooming, and Awesome slept. Her eyes drooped a little and she shook her head violently. I must stay awake! I have to keep my friends safe...
Crack!

Little's ears perked up as she snapped her head around torwards the noise. She put a paw on her bow.

Suddenly, there was a loud scream and crashing. Little glimpsed a black floating figure through the trees.
Phantom!

"BLOOMING! SNOWFLAKE! AWESOME! WAKE UP!" Little screeched and loaded her bow with an arrow, narrowly missing the phantom she shot at.

Roleplayers were beginning to join the battle as more phantoms spilled into her beloved forest. An eagle with spirit armour dove and sliced a wound into a mid-sized phantom while a white wolf wearing vampire teeth clamped her jaws around a phantom's tentacle. A red alligator with a dragon mask and wings tussled with a phantom into a bush.

By now, Blooming, Snowflake, and Awesome were equipping armour and weapons, narrowing their eyes and preparing for battle.

Little's heart lurched as she saw a small pink bunny being held up against a tree by a good sized phantom ready to zap. She charged forward, screaming a battle cry and slicing her claws at the phantom's back, causing it to turn and zap.

All of Little's joints vibrated as she went stiff, staggered backwards a few steps, and fell.

Snowflake threw a phantom aside, leaping for another one. She arrived just in time to push over a phantom, making its original aim for a gray wolf waver and hit another phantom. She dug her huge claws into its head and the evil died from its eyes. Well, that was convenient...

Snowflake knew Saripea Forest was Little's, as well as many others, favourite place. She would never let anything happen to it.

She had equipped ice armour paw covers and a jeweled helmet. She had a pink sword to fight with and a determination that matched its sharpness.

Suddenly, a phantom shot at her and missed. It startled Snowflake and she barrled at the big fat phantom, straight into its line of fire.

Blue electricity hit her in the chest faster than she could dodge and she staggered, gasping for breath as the soft grass rushed up to meet her.

Blooming fought with quiet determination as a phantom dodged her attack. She had a black long spike collar equipped as well as a matching wristband. She held a black stone sword in her jaws and she clubbed the phantom in the head with it. She had dark elf tail armour as well.

She ducked under another phantom's zap and skillfully threw her sword at it, the heavy weapon breaking in two as the phantom fell to the grass, dead. Blooming cursed under her breath and swiftly equipped a long bow, hitting a phantom bullseye... in the eye... no pun intended.

Something caught her eye.
No...

The forest was catching fire!

She glanced around quickly. The remaining animals were beginning to retreat to Crystal Sands, some dropping their weapons in fright at the oncoming fire.

Blooming was beginning to notice that the animals couldn't win. The fire would engulf everything and there was no stopping it.

Blooming turned and ran onto the path to Crystal Sands, crossing into the world.

Awesome skillfully threw a dagger through a phantom's large purple eye. He gave a squawk of triumph as it fell and he dove down, grabbing the dagger. He had equipped blue elf helmet and red dual samurai daggers, holding one in each foot.

He circled a small pink bunny in the air. It looked overwhelmed.

Then he saw something he wished he never would have seen.

Little's limp body was splayed out on the soft grass, her fur standing up. Little was zapped.

He shook his head, fighting tears. There was nothing he could do for her now...

Awesome dove down and grabbed the pink bunny in his talons, soaring off into the sky and reassuring her that he wasn't trying to eat her.

The fire had engulfed over half the forest and a hot ash landed on his foot, making him hiss with pain and almost drop the frightened bunny.

"Where-Where are we going?" The bunny asked in a small voice.

"To Crystal Sands." Awesome twittered grimly.
I hope Blooming and Snowflake made there it alive...
