Chapter 2: Be Like Alice and Stalk Me
"Have I ever told you how much I love Drew Barrymore?" I asked, turning to face Luke.
"More than I'd like," he grumbled, putting the disc back in its case. I had asked him to rent it so much that he just bought it. "Did you know she did drugs when she when she was really young?"
I shrugged. "So? People at school do it."
"She was like nine when she started drinking and smoking. She started doing cocaine when she was twelve."
I slapped my hands on my ears and began screaming, "Lalalalala." I didn't want to hear that my idol did drugs that early. She was just like...never mind. I can't think about this.
Luke wretched my hands away and patted my head like a dog. He did that a lot. Why? I have no idea. It kind of made me feel stupid and littler than him, and he probably liked that.
"Thanks, Luke."
"For what?"
"For watching 50 First Dates with me over and over again. You're a real friend."
"I'm your best friend."
And always will be... "Yeah, yeah. So what do you want to do now?"
"We could order pizza?"
"Or you could cook for me!" I suggested.
"Or we could order pizza!" he repeated, mocking enthusiasm.
"Since I'm such a great person, we'll order pizza. You're paying."
"Well don't offer to pay or anything," he grumbled. "But we're getting Supreme."
"My favorite!" I squealed.
He frowned. "Crap. I forgot."
"Too late now and you can call," I said, handing him my iPhone. "And don't forget the breadsticks."
"I always call. Why don't you try?"
"I don't like talking to people on the phone."
"We talk all the time."
"It's not the same," I insisted. "They're strange and I don't like talking to people I don't know."
"But you're just ordering your food."
"Our food."
"So you'll call?"
"No."
He rolled his eyes and ordered. I went into the kitchen to grab us some drinks. I grabbed two cups from the cabinet and an unopened liter of Coke. "Twenty minutes," Lucas told me.
I groaned. "Twenty whole minutes?"
"It's not that long."
"It is to a starving girl!"
"You're not starving."
"But I am!"
"You're just exaggerating."
Suddenly he clutched his stomach, making guttural sounds as if he were about to die. "So was she good?" I asked. Entertaining Luke's overdramatic hunger tendencies were exhausting.
He seemed taken back that I disrupted him, and a cute confused look spread across his face? "Who?"
"Laurel, was she good?"
"What kind of question is that?"
In retrospect, it wasn't the best idea to ask the person that you were in love with how the girl that he had sex with in bed was. In fact, it was probably one of my worst ideas ever.
"Just curious," I replied innocently, trying to hide my jealousy.
"You mean jealous?"
I wasn't sure if he could see right through me or if he was just being himself. "No."
"Why do you want to know then?" he tested.
"I told you, I was just curious."
"I've known you for twelve years, Charlie. I can tell when you're lying."
"Just answer the question!" I whined, shaking my arms like a stubborn child.
"Fine, but then you have to answer mine. She was like an animal," he described, like he was remembering the moments from that night. "She was just so into it. It was like her shy personality completely changed when we got into that bed. She lasted longer than all the others-"
I felt a pang of jealousy stir inside of me. It was bad enough that he slept with her, but hearing him talk about how amazing she was went over the line. Why did I have to bring it up? I'm such an idiot! I just needed him to stop talking about her. "So she was good?"
"She was the best."
Well, that didn't help at all...
"Charlie, I think I'm in love."
What? He's in love? With who? For a split second, I thought it was me, but that could never happen. He didn't see me as anything about a tagalong best friend. I was just like one of the guys to him. I swallowed. "With who?"
"Laurel," he sighed dreamily.
More jealousy inflamed and I knew that tears would start falling any minute. I should've left, but I was frozen to the spot. I faked a smile, which was pretty lame. My bottom lip started quivering and I bit my lip to stop it.
Luke's face immediately changed from his dazed expression into a concerned one. He placed his hand on my shoulder as I lowered my head so he couldn't see the tears threatening to spill out. It didn't really work because he lifted my chin up and stared into my eyes. "What's wrong, Charlie?"
I gulped and wiped away the droplets lining my eyes. "Nothing," I croaked unconvincingly.
"If it's because of Laurel, I was just joking."
I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding in. "I knew that..."
"Sure you did. So your turn to answer mine. Why do you want to know?"
"I told you, I was curious! After all, she is the last girl you're going to sleep with in high school."
"Unless you..."
"No."
"Aw, why not, Charlie?"
"I'm not sleeping with anyone."
"You sleep with me all the time," he pointed out.
"You know what I meant!"
"You know the whole school is going to be mad at you, right?"
My eyebrows furrowed. "What are you talking about?"
"People were really excited to find out who's going to be the Virginator."
"Well it's too bad for them. They can go look for gossip somewhere else."
I wasn't going to feed the gossip vine or be the MTV for Addison High School. I didn't even like attention. I just hung back and let all the attention come to Luke and my other attention loving friends.
"But I have the upper hand!" Luke whimpered.
"No, you don't! If anything, you have the lower hand."
Luke waggled his eyebrows suggestively. "Do you mean that?"
It took me a minute to realize his joke, but when I did, I shoved his chest. "Perv."
He grinned "You never denied anything."
"The slap implied 'no'! I thought you knew that."
"I'm not good at thing and you know that!"
"You're annoying."
"But you love me anyway."
"Yeah, I do." Too bad he didn't know that it was more than in the best friend way.
"So I do have a chance!"
It's all yours, buddy. "Nope, if I was going to choose anyone, I'm not saying I am, but I'd probably choose Beckett."
"That nerd?" Luke exclaimed.
"Beckett's far from a nerd, except for the fact that he's really smart."
"What do you see in him anyway?"
"Aside from his very successful future? He's sweet, hot, a genius, a gentleman..."
"I'm all of that."
"Sure you are," I agreed sarcastically.
"I am!" I shot him an 'are you kidding me' look. "Okay, fine. I'm not a genius."
"And you're not a gentleman."
"I opened the door for you."
"You had the key!"
He was lost for words for a second, but recovered quickly and stated, "You never denied that I wasn't hot."
I'm not going to lie to you; my best friend is a cutie. He has bright, piercing blue eyes and soft, golden blonde hair. He had a great smile, thanks to braces, and high cheekbones. I'm really not sure if that's a good thing or not. He doesn't have a six pack, but he does look amazing in a tux (junior prom).
I wasn't going to deny him, that would be a huge lie. So I just avoided the question. "Just face it. Beckett's better than you."
He put his hand on his heart and cried dramatically, "You're killing me, Charlie."
I rolled my eyes and punched him. "Stop being so immature."
He rubbed the spot. "Stop abusing me."
I was about to respond, but the doorbell rang. I raced to the door and swung it open. Alec was standing there with a pizza box in his hand. Even in his dingy red uniform, he still looked as gorgeous as ever.
Every girl had a crush on Alec Jennings at least once in her life. He was boyishly handsome, light green eyes, floppy brown hair, and an athletic physique. He's captain of the baseball team, which also happened to be the only sport I actually know the rules of and could stand watching. I also found baseball players really attractive. Maybe it was the uniform, I don't know.
"I didn't know you lived here," Alec accused.
I giggled nervously, pulling at the bottom of Luke's shirt. "I don't. I live next door. This is Luke's house."
As if on cue, Luke appeared by my side. "Hey Alec, stalking her isn't a good way for her to sleep with you."
I subtly elbowed him. He didn't have to bring my virginity into this.
"I'm just delivering pizza. It's my job, Lukey-boy."
Luke scowled as I sent him a warning look. "I didn't know you worked at Pizza Hut."
"I've been working there for a year or so."
"The pizza?" Luke said rudely.
"Oh, right. That'll be $15.50."
Luke didn't move to give him the money. I elbowed him again, which earned me a jab in return. "Give him the money, Luke!"
"Oh, right," he said awkwardly, fishing out a twenty dollar bill from his pocket and handing it to Alec.
"Keep the change," I added, flashing him a smile. Just to be clear, just because I was flirting didn't mean I was going to sleep with him. Like I said, everyone liked Alec.
"Thanks guys, enjoy your pizza!" he said, returning the smile with his dazzling grin.
Luke slammed the door shut. "Keep the change," he mimicked, but in a higher pitched voice.
I frowned and lifted the lid off of our pizza. Steam rose out, which meant it was fresh out of the oven. "Crap, I forgot the plates," I muttered.
Luke offered to get them and returned with two paper plates. I grabbed a slice and devoured it like my life depended on it. The cheese was melted, but not so much that it slid off the entire pizza. The green peppers were fresh and the hamburger was cooked.
"You're not starting with the breadsticks?" Luke asked. "We always start with the breadsticks!"
"Who cares? I'm hungry and in the mood for pizza."
He mumbled something incoherent, but I just ignored it. What was his problem? He was being weird today. He would tell me about his text and he was going out of his way to be mean to Alec. It's like he was on his guy period or something. There was definitely something wrong with him.
"Luke, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"
"You just seem off lately. It is because of whomever you were texting?"
"No," he denied a bit too quickly. "I'm fine."
I sighed. He wasn't going to tell me. "But if something's wrong, you'd tell me, right?"
He smiled. "Right."
He wasn't going to tell me, so I'd just have to find out on my own. My phone buzzed in my pocket. It was a text from Ian.
Party. Tomorrow. My place.
Ah, I've heard about his party. It was his annual back-to-school party. I doubt that I was going to go. I don't go to parties.
I'll think about it.
I'll see you there.
Or not. How did you even get my number?
I have sources.
That was a little creepy, so I didn't respond back.
"Who were you texting?" Luke asked.
I smirked. "No one."
"C'mon, Charlie, tell me!"
"But mine's personal."
"So is mine," I countered. Okay, so it wasn't personal. But he couldn't expect me to tell him if he wasn't going to tell me. It didn't work that way.
"Fine," he pouted. "Be that way."
"I will."
I popped a piece of breadstick in my mouth. He'd beg for me to tell him. He was nosy like that. He just had to know every aspect of my life. He acts more protective than my dad, but my dad's pretty carefree so...
"Please, Charlotte! Why do you have to keep it a secret?"
"Because I can?" I decided to put him out of his misery and tell him who I was texting. "Ian."
"Ian? As in Ian Jameson? As in the guy who was hitting on you?"
"That's the one."
"Why are you texting him? Was he harassing you? Because I swear to-"
"Relax, will you? He was just inviting me to his party tomorrow."
"Are you going?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. How about you?"
"I don't think so. I'll just stay here and chill with you."
"But I might go..."
"I don't think you should."
"Why not?"
"Ian's parties are wild. There are going to be people there trying to grope you and pressure you into sex and alcohol."
"So I'll say no."
"Sometimes it's not that easy."
"I'm a big girl, Luke. I can handle it."
I made up my mind. I was going to Ian's party. If Luke hadn't made that comment, I'd probably be doing what he said I would be doing. I was stubborn like that.
"If you're going, I'm going. Don't drink or go with anyone you don't know."
"I know, I know."
"Just saying this because I care."
My heart bubbled up when he said that. I had to remind myself that it was only in the best friend kind of way. "I know you do," I said, smiling. Luke was always looking out for me.
"So, what're you doing tomorrow?"
"The party...?"
"No, silly, tomorrow afternoon."
I think he likes making me feel stupid. "Oh! I knew that! I think Emma and I are planning on going to the mall. Why?"
"I was just thinking we could hang out or something."
"We always hang out."
"I know we do...I was just asking. Planning on buying anything in particular? Lingerie, perhaps?" he said suggestively, shaking his eyebrows.
"NO!" I blurted, blushing furiously. Just the thought of that...I involuntary shivered.
"Already thinking about me, huh?" Luke teased.
"Stop it," I mumbled.
"You're cute." He flicked my nose.
I glared at him, even though I secretly loved it when he did that. "That wasn't funny, Luke."
"I thought it was."
"You think everything's funny."
"Like your face?"
I glared at him. "Go die."
"Ouch, that hurt."
I rolled my eyes. "Go get a girlfriend."
"Now?"
"Yup."
He got down onto one knee and looked at me with sickly-sweet loving eyes. "Charlie, will you be my girlfriend."
Even though I knew he was just pretending, the butterflies in my belly still fluttered and my heart swelled. As much as I wanted to say yes, I would just end up making a fool of myself. I forced a laugh. "Nope."
I saw something flash in his eyes, but it was gone before I had a chance to decipher it. I was probably nothing, just me being paranoid or hopeful. Does that make sense?
"Aw, why not, Charlie?"
"You're not my type." Lie. Lie. Lie.
"Ego killer," he muttered.
After watching dozens of movies, we fell asleep on his couch. At about three in the morning, I woke up to go to the bathroom and saw Luke's phone on the table. I debated whether or not I should look and invade his privacy or be the best friend I am and look. It took all my will to not snoop.
I decided to be stalker and watch Luke sleep. I gently kissed his cheek before snuggling into his arms. "I love you, Luke," I whispered before falling asleep.
I woke up to a snoring, drooling Luke smothering me. I pushed him off me and he fell to the floor. His eyes shot open and sent me a death glare. "What was that for?"
I batted my eyes innocently. "I don't know what you mean, Luke."
He rolled his eyes and pulled me down on top of him. "Hey! What was that for?"
"I don't know what you mean, Charlie," he mimicked. He did that a lot, mimicing me.
I lightly smacked him. "You're a jerk."
He winked. "And don't you forget it."
I sighed and went to the kitchen to pour us bowls of Captain Crunch. He wanted bacon, but there was no way I was making bacon for him. I wasn't his mother. I decided to make toast, two for me and three for him. He got his lazy butt of the floor and helped me butter the bread. We carried our breakfast into the living room and switched on the TV. Luke turned it to the weather channel.
"Why are we watching the weather?"
"The weather lady is hot."
And now I had to be jealous of the weather lady. That was wonderful. Just wonderful.
I rolled my eyes; boys. I watched the screen anyway, to see what his definition of hot was. Maybe I could change my look so he would notice me. She had sunny blonde tresses and a fake smile was on her face. Her enthusiasm made me sick. How could someone be so happy when they're telling us how cloudy it's going to be? That's showbiz, I suppose. Although, I wouldn't call it showbiz, but it's still television. Luke's eyes were glued to the screen.
"She's like thirty."
"That's still young...kind of."
Okay, never mind about changing my appearance. I wasn't going to dye my hair blonde.
"Whatever, I'm going home to get dressed. Take care of my bowl."
"Don't flirt with too many guys!"
"Don't worry, I will."
I shut the door and walked over to mine. I unlocked the door and shouted, "I'm going to the mall with Emma and then I'm going to a party!" I shouted.
"Sure thing, Char," Dad shouted back. "Be home by one. Don't do drugs, don't drink, and don't lose your virginity."
I mentally scoffed. I wasn't planning to lose it anytime soon. I ran upstairs and changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a long grey graphic tee. I put on a pair of converse, grabbed my purse, and hopped into Emma's yellow Volkswagen Beetle. She sped off as soon as the door was shut.
***
"Look at that dress. You're totally wearing it," Emma declared, dragging me into Forever 21.
I groaned. She had that that about the last twenty dresses we saw. It was a strapless, coral colored dress with a thin brown belt separating the lacy skirt from the top. She snatched the last small and ushered me into the dressing rooms. She tossed the dress at me and told me to try it on. Unlike the others, I liked this one. It was modest, but not like nun modest. It was mid-thigh, so it accentuated my long, thin legs. I had no curves. None. Zip. Call it a gift, but I get mistaken for anorexic sometimes, and it kind of gets on my nerves.
Emma started banging on the door, screaming "Let me see it!"
I stifled a giggle and opened the door. She did a once over before making her decision. "I like it. Let's get it."
I paid for it and decided to go to the food court for lunch. We both decided on Chinese; chow mien, sweet and sour chicken, and a crab Rangoon. "The Top Four are after you!"
"Isn't it horrible?"
"Do you know how many girls would want to be in your position? A lot!"
"They can have it."
"C'mon, Char! Make the best of the situation."
I raised an eyebrow. How was I supposed to make the best of the situation? This was a pretty horrible one. I would just rather be noticed by Luke than the others. But I wasn't going to tell Emma that. No one knew about my secret crush on Luke. I didn't want to tell anyone-it'd be too awkward for me to talk about it. I was never smooth around boys.
"Five guys are fighting for your affection. Have some fun with it."
"Five? It's four: Tyler, Ian, Alec, and Beckett."
"You're forgetting Lucas. Oh wait, he already has your affection. When are you two going to start dating."
She was right. He already had my heart, but I wasn't going to give him my virginity until I knew that he loved me back. The fact that she even suggested that he would even consider dating me made my cheeks redden. That wasn't ever going to happen.
"Luke doesn't even like me."
"But you like him."
"So about this having fun..." I trailed, steering away from the direction this conversation was going in.
"I think you should tease them."
Emma was seriously going crazy. Tease them? What did that even mean? "Care to elaborate?"
She was beaming. "Well, you can make them lust after you. You can go on dates with them. It'll be fun! You can play the players!"
I didn't even know the first thing about making guys lust after me. I wasn't even experienced in the boy department. That didn't seem kind of appealing; playing the players. Emma was an evil genius.
"And who knows, you might fall in love on the way. And they might fall for you."
"I'm not going to fall for any of them," I assured her. I couldn't fall for any of them. They'd end up breaking my heart, and I wasn't going to let that happen. If they wanted to play a game, a game we would play; their game, my rules.
"Mind if I join you?" a voice asked.
It was Alec, the perfect first target. Let the games begin. I snuck a sly smile at Emma, and she returned it. "Not at all, Alec," I said sweetly.
"You can have my seat," Emma interrupted, getting up. "I need to do some more shopping. Have fun you two."
Oh, I will. "What brings you here?" I asked, popping another piece of chicken into my mouth.
"Life."
"That's deep."
He laughed. "No, the real reason is because I was following you."
He...he was following me? Does anyone know the number to 9-1-1? That wasn't creepy at all. My eyes wandered everywhere but his face. I really didn't know how to respond to that. Would it be rude to get up and run or...?
He burst out laughing. "Your face was priceless!"
"That wasn't funny! I seriously thought you were a stalker."
"The only stalking I do is on Facebook. The real reason is because I was shopping for shoes."
"I like that reason better than the other one. So are you going to the party tonight?"
"I wish I could, but I have to babysit."
Aw, he babysat? That's cute. Wait, I can't think he's cute. That could lead to having a crush on him. Since he wasn't going, I'd have to make Ian fall for my charm, that is, if I had any. I was kind of scared that Ian was going to rape me or something. There was a rumor that it happened earlier this year. I really hope it was just a rumor.
I nodded my head awkwardly, not knowing what to say. Like I said, I have no experience whatsoever. Alec seemed like the guy who took girls out on cheesy dates; dinner and a movie, a walk through the park, you know, that kind of thing. And I was going to guess he was looking for a girl who he could take home to meet his parents, unlike all the other girls in my school. And that's exactly the kind of girl I would be.
"I should go meet Emma. Talk to you later?"
"Definitely."
I gave him a small wave and threw my trash away. I think I saw her going toward JCPenney's. She was sitting on the couch in front of the store. She rushed toward me as soon as she saw me.
"How'd it go?" she urged.
"We talked for a couple minutes and that was it."
"You need to work harder."
"We need to focus on Ian."
She bit her lip, something she only did when she was thinking. "I got it. Ian wants something he can't have, and there's not much that he can't, so you'll have to have a boyfriend..."
"But that won't help the other cases! Can't I just try and be his friend? That works, right?"
"I don't know..."
"I'm just going to wing it. What could go wrong?"
"Everything!"
"You're just being dramatic. And besides, if something does go wrong, which it won't, it'll just be one guy lost."
***
Luke had texted me and told me he was taking me to the party. He was pacing back and forth around the room, telling me I didn't need to dress up. It didn't matter what time you showed up for these things, right?
"Calm down, I want to look good for my first party."
"Girls and their appearance..."
"Would you rather I look like trash?" I asked, adding the finishing touched to my makeup.
"Um, yeah. Then I wouldn't have to keep an eye on you."
"You don't have to. In fact, I would rather you didn't. Besides, why do you care? Are you jealous?" I teased.
"I just don't want you to be put in a situation that you don't want to be in."
I realized he didn't answer the jealousy question, but he was probably getting frustrated with me. He had been waiting for an hour already. But I was getting frustrated with him. I wanted to know who he was texting!
"I doubt that I'll be in that position, but thanks for caring."
"I have to care; we're best friends and I promised your dad."
I smiled. "Let's go!"
We had trouble finding a parking spot because Ian's long driveway was full, and most of the spots on the street were too. We found one, but it was about a five minute walk from the street. "Remember, I have curfew at one," I told Luke. "So we can meet out here at 12:50?"
"I'm keeping an eye on you, so I'll just tell you when you need to go. But if we are separated, we can meet here, okay?"
I nodded. There were already red solo cups and couples making out scattered all over the lawn. Even from out here we could hear Party Rock Anthem blasting from the speakers. If you stood close enough, I'm sure you'd go deaf. So this is what all the hype was about? People doing all sorts of illegal and frowned upon things on a single property. Didn't seem that interesting to me, but maybe I wasn't experiencing it right.
People were dancing in a makeshift dance floor in the living room. I saw Ian walking over toward us. "Hey, Charlotte, glad you could make it. There's alcohol in a cooler in the kitchen, and if you need to crash or do something else," he said, wagging his eyebrows suggestively, "feel free to use any of the guest rooms in the left wing. Or you can come with me to my room."
I shook my head and laughed. "I don't think so, buddy."
"Oh. Hi, Lucas. I didn't see you there."
A group of tipsy girls led Ian away. He sent me an apologetic look and went with them. "Let's dance!" I cried boldly, grabbing Luke's hand and going over to the dance floor.
We danced, but unlike the other people there, we didn't grind. That would just be too awkward. A guy came over and asked me to dance. "Go, I'll be fine. Get drunk, laid, I don't care. Just have go have fun."
Luke grudgingly agreed and went away. I found out the guy's name was Matt. He had sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes. I think he was on the football team; he had the build for it. His hands wandered south a few times, but I firmly told him to stop. He didn't listen, so I pushed him away. He shrugged and muttered 'your loss', before dancing with a blonde cheerleader. How cliché.
I danced with a few other guys, and then got thirsty. I must've gone the wrong way, because I was now treading in unfamiliar territory. I peered down hallways and hallways for the kitchen, but still couldn't find one. The sound of the party was getting fainter and fainter. I should've turned back, but decided that I would get there eventually. There had to be a hallway that led to the kitchen. It's not like this house was a straight line.
I saw someone stumbling down the hallway. "Hey there. Could you tell me the way to the kitchen?"
I was a complete idiot for asking someone so drunk, but he might have enough sense to tell me. He walked closer to me and grabbed my butt. "Hey babe," he slurred. "Wanna have your world rocked in one of these rooms?" His breath reeked of alcohol.
I took a step back. "No thank you."
He took a step forward. "I can take you right here on the wall if you want."
"N-no thank you."
"C'mon babe. Let's have some fun. Don't be a party pooper."
I walked backwards slowly. Where was Luke? Why wasn't he here with me? He said he was going to be by my side! He was probably getting drunk like I told him to. The one time he listens to me and I need him. "LUKE!" I shouted. "Luke where are you?"
The drunk guy walked closer to me, lust evident in his eyes. "Can't run away from me. I'll get you sometime, sweetie."
I turned to run away, but was pinned against the cold wall. "Too slow," he whispered.
I struggled out of his grasp, but couldn't get out. Weren't drinks supposed to make people weaker? Well not this guy. I pushed his chest, but he didn't even budge. "Please stop," I begged. "Let me go."
"I don't think so."
He brought his lips down to mine. It was urgent and rough. His lips were slimy and chapped. It wasn't the least bit pleasant. He must've taken my not kissing him back and thought that I was teasing him or something, because he took it as a sign to deepen the kiss. He shoved his tongue in my mouth.
There was absolutely nothing I could do. I didn't stay limp like an idiot though. I shoved, pushed, pinched, and even kicked his manhood, he just groaned. It didn't sound like a pain one, more like an aroused one. Each time he went up for air, I screamed at the top of my lungs.
He opened the door that was closest to us and just my luck, there just happened to be a bed in there. He pushed me onto the bed and started unbuckling his jeans. I took that moment to escape. I rattled the doorknob, but it wouldn't open.
"No use trying to escape," he said evilly.
"Let me go! I'm sure there are people out there willing to do it with you."
"I don't want them, I want you. I've wanted you since we were little, Charlotte."
He knew who I was? "I-I don't know you are."
"Of course you do." He gripped my wrists and tossed me onto the bed. "Hold still."
He lifted my dress off my body and slid my underwear down. He unclasped my bra and started groping them, practically pulling them off my body. Ouch, the least he could do was be a little gentler. What was I saying? I was losing my virginity against my will to a complete stranger. I was going to be raped.
"I'm going to make you scream," he snarled.
You already did, just not the way you want me to scream. I let out a shriek and he slapped me and clasped his hand on my mouth. "That was very naughty," he taunted.
I bit his finger and he let out a yelp. He glared at me. "Don't do that again."
He lowered himself onto me and I winced. I was going to be raped. I was going to die. And I didn't even know the guy's name.
