Bounty Hunter

Tolx comes into view with a suspicious look on his face as he looks at Rivy.
"Let me help you" Rivy says but Tolx just pushes him away as he's holding his hand over a bleeding wound.
"Let him help you" I say because I can't afford to lose him when we haven't gotten our family back.
"No" he growls mean and I just back off not wanting my head cut off.
"Red?" I ask changing the subject a bit.
"No, silver" Tolx growls and Rivys face is unchanged at the corner of my eye making me a bit suspicious of him.
"You don't seem surprised" Tolx spits at Rivy but his face is unchanged because he's in shock, he just stands there still as a stone staring at the dagger blankly.
"He's in shock" I say giving him the benefit of the doubt.
"He's faking" Tolx says pushing Rivy and he falls back.
"Tolx" I growl to get his attention but he seems convinced that Rivy has something to do with them.
"It's one thing to mess with a Rising Sun but there's another messing with a Hunter if the Rising Sun" Tolx says and it is true, but it's a mistake messing with ether of them because one will kill you immediately other will torture then kill you at least after leaving Lerckdor Golds have become as tough as dimonds.
"TOLX!" I yell before he would do anything.
I struggle to stand up as Tolx looks at me.
"Don't jump to a conclusion" I say ignoring the pain.
"Niztal sit back down" Rivy says rushing to my side, helping me not trying to kill me.
"What's going on here?" Foxinir asks still a bit sleepy.
"The Yaalker is working for king Arox" Tolx spits out holding himself back from jumping at Rivy.
"All I know about him is that he's trying to kill me so why in the name of Krelf would I work for him?" Rivy asks helping me to sit back down.
"To not get killed" that kind of makes sense other than he's part Forest so he's more valuable than me because we really don't know what kind he is or who his family is.
"I'm pretty sure that he's more valuable than me"
"Not if Arox knows you're a Witch" Foxinir says
'but how could he know so quickly?'
"If there are more silvers..." I look at Rivy a bit suspicious because maybe Arox is breeding silvers for some messed up reason.
"I don't know anything about that" Rivy says just as confused as I am but I'm also losing a lot of blood and he's not used to all of this.
Tolx looks at Rivy with a look that says: "you'll never be left alone again"
The boys help me in and Foxinir keeps going in some direction with the wagon.
Joyra tries to teach me control but whatever I do I can't do it.
Nothing happens.

We stop letting Angus rest for a while because he's not a war horse he's a kind of donkey pony horse mix if that makes sense, he's smaller than other horses and more goofy even though he's fully grown.
"Just close your eyes and open your mind" Joyra says and I close my eyes but all I see is my dead sister and rage spreads like fire inside me the flames licking at my fingertips as the heat surrounds everything.
I open my eyes to see a circle of fire around me and Joyra that stands stiffly.
"Okay you can calm down hun" Joyra says standing as still as she possibly can and I close my eyes again trying to calm down but fury only builds inside me.
"Niz!" I hear Tolx call trying to get my attention and I open my eyes my gaze landing on Joyra trying her best to avoid the flames.
"Niz" Tolx says and he always has had a way of calming people down considering his short temper,
"I don't think I'll be able to master this before we get to Pelrata" I say walking away through the fire as it's dying slowly.
I look in Lerckdors direction blaming myself for my family's abduction as I reach for the lion in my pocket.
"Niztal?" Rivy asks and I swear to gods I'll accidentally kill him because he sneaks up to me like a cat and startles me every time.
"Don't" Tolx says suppressing his hatred for Rivy and I don't know if Rivy listed or not because I can't hear him walk away,
"I wonder if it still stands" Tolx says standing beside me now,
"I doubt it" I say and it's a three day journey to Lerckdor and a eight day journey to Pelrata from Lerckdor at this pace so I really do need to learn control.
"I don't know if I can do this. I mean Stop the war is close to impossible" I say looking down at the lion thing,
"You can, you just have to believe in yourself and...what did she say? Open your mind?"
"Every time I close my eyes I see my sister from my nightmare"
"Crown of the crimson in green blood, Foxinir clutching a note that spells Rivy in gold blood and your sister asking why you let her die?" He asks as Foxinir whistles letting us know that we're going to keep going.
"Yeah how did you know?" We walk to the wagon
"I dreamt the same but only with my sister accusing me of letting her die, though I'm pretty sure that she'll choose to haunt me if she parts to the gods" I restrain a smile by his dark humor,
"What do you suppose it means?" We sit down and he just shrugs
"That I'm right about the Yaalker and he'll betray us" he says not even bothering to hide the disgust in his voice, I don't say anything more as Joyra enters that is followed by Rivy before the wagon is on the move again.
"Here" Joyra says handing me a stack of cards
"What's this?" I ask confused
"Pick a card" she says and if she's going to do some card magic I'm giving up on control.
I go through the cards and pick a black queen.
She places the cards on the table thing that Foxinir calls his working bench but looks more like a bench for random useless stuff.
"Is your card amongst these cards?" She asks staring as me and I look over the cards seeing my card but looking a bit longer before I nod,
"Is it the black queen?" She asks abut she had been staring at me the whole time never once looking away from my face.
"Yes" I simply reply,
"How is this supposed to help me?"
"You need to remember exactly where every card is and as the player is looking over they will always hesitate on their card so focus on the gaze of the player and you can know which card they picked" she says shuffling the cards,
"Now I will pick a card and you will try to find my card"
I just go with it even though I feel ridiculous doing this as I fail every single try.
"Black five?" I ask and she shakes her head in disappointment,
"Again" she says shuffling the cards and we go again as I get more irritated by the game and try even harder to figure it out.
"Pink...seven?" I ask at our fiftieth try or something I lost count,
"Niztal you need to focus, breath slower and deeper, try to calm your heart, push every thought out of your head" Joyra tries to lecture me,
"Like shooting from a bow" Tolx says and we go again as I imagine myself drawing the bowstring to my chin fixing all my attention to Joyras eyes as she looks over the cards. I draw a breath. Hold. Let go. My heart calmly beating in my chest as I notice the slightest hesitation barely noticeable in her eyes on the pink prince and it's like letting go of the string feeling the arrow detach the string and hitting bullseye.
"Pink prince" I say and she nods
"Hunter boy?" She says and Tolx looks up from polishing his daggers.
"I think your tactic of teaching her focus and patience might be more effective than my card tricks"
"She's raised amongst hunters of course she's going to get better results by hunting tactics rather than card tricks" Tolx reply's emotionless as Rivy just sketches something on a piece of paper.
"Would you like to give it a try?" She asks and she nods standing up with his daggers.
"Here" he throws one of his daggers at me,
"Remember what your brother taught you?"
"Barely, I was six" I reply and he strikes at me separating the dagger from my hand, catching the dagger and pointing one at my neck the other at my stomach.
"Firstly you were holding it wrong, secondly you let your guard down, thirdly you're dead" he says and I grimace in annoyance preferring Joyras ridiculous card tricks over Tolx teaching to use the daggers,
"Here" he says handing me the dagger and showing me how to hold it correctly,
"Now strike at me" he demands and I go for his knees because they're one of the most vulnerable striking points and the less obvious but he defends my strike and again twists the dagger out of my hand before grabbing me one arm around me holding my arms down and his dagger threatens my throat as I face away from him.
"Dead" he says and I sigh irritated before shooting my elbow backwards knocking the dagger out of his hand taking it in my own before kicking his knees so he falls to his back and I point the dagger at him as I step on his stomach with one foot,
"Dead" I say
He swiftly kicks my feet from under me taking the dagger in his own hand and placing his arm over my shoulders threatening the dagger to my neck again but now with his foot holding my feet down and his arms holding me down I'm helpless.
"Dead, but we're not fighting with one dagger I'm supposed to be teaching you how to focus" he says letting go of me and I feel the stinging pain in my shoulder suddenly but I ignore it as he offers his hand to help me up and I take it.
