6. His Rules ✔
Hyeyoon's POV
Seok-woo drove his car at medium speed on the main road. I still had tears on my cheek. I wiped it with a tissue Seokwoo gave me. He looked at me while driving, and he smiled.
"What?" I snarled.
He chuckled as he heard me being grumpy. "Are you done?" he asked again.
I sighed. Seok-woo could be so gentle and obnoxious at the same time. We were already together for months, yet I still had to get accustomed to all his mood and character; and to my surprise, I was making all the adjustments willingly for him, for us.
I gasped in horror upon seeing my awful reflection as I checked my appearance in the lid mirror. I took out a wet tissue and put it on my eye bags to compress it. It swelled so bad and red, too.
"Do I look like a ghost?" I whined which he responded with a laugh.
I glared at him as he was still holding his laughter. "You are so mean, Seok-woo," acted a bit childish. I hid my pout by throwing my sight outside the window and staring blankly at the traffic.
Seok-woo shifted his hand, grasped my left hand, then squeezed it gently. He transmitted the warmth from his palm and tried to calm my emotion.
"Where are we going?" I asked him finally as we turned to exit the highway.
"My home," he kept driving without releasing my hand, with his one-hand driving skill.
I glanced at him, and my heart started pounding uncontrollably. I gulped upon thinking what might be going to happen next. My mind was busy getting nervous when I realized I didn't bring any change for a sleepover.
He flashed his infamous gorgeous smile again as he sensed my concern. He saw it from my expression. Seok-woo then whispered lowly.
"You can wear mine. It will be oversized, though, but I don't mind at all. I like seeing you in that," Seok-woo winked.
I was about to punch his arm, yet my left hand was still in his grip. I tried to pull off, but he held it even tighter. He smirked.
Seok-woo turned the car to his apartment basement and parked his car. He turned off the engine then turned to see me.
"What?" I sounded. His handsome face still efficiently affecting me. My heart was beating erratically now.
"Ah," I suddenly remembered something. Avoiding Seok-woo's gaze, I continued speaking, "I called you twice today, but your phone was off,"
He pulled out his phone from his jeans pocket and swiped it. "Oh, yes. I just turned it back on a while ago. Why did you call?"
I was hesitant. Should I tell him? Or no? Or maybe later?
I decided to postpone the news. I shook my head lightly. "Nothing. I was just checking on you. I've missed you," I told him that instead.
We got off the car and walked to the elevator while holding hands.
Reached on the 12th floor, we headed to Seok-woo's unit. He was still unable to let my hand go as he input the passcode.
When he opened the door, he pulled me inside and grabbed my shoulder. He pinned me to the shoe closet behind the door. He kicked the door close and leaned down to capture my lips in a sweet kiss.
My body immediately responded as soon as his soft lips landed on mine, nibbled it at first, then sucking it gently. I squealed when Seokwoo effortlessly lifted my body and carrying me to the island in his kitchen. He put me to sit on the cold marble.
I gasped for air, and he inserted his sweetness slowly, deepened the kiss. He demanded more as he was savoring the taste of the kiss that we missed a lot for almost two weeks.
I moved my hand to his shoulder and put it around his neck. Pulling him closer, and he gladly granted my need. It was getting more heated and intense.
Seok-woo moved his hand upward and reached the tip of my shirt, was about to pull it. I grabbed his hand, and he stopped.
His hazy eyes stared right into my eyes. Questioning my action.
"Why? You don't want to?" his voice hoarse, and I smiled.
"I want, too. Believe me," I assured. He waited for me to continue. "But it's almost dinner time, baby. Don't you feel hungry?"
Seok-woo pulled his face from me and scratched his head. It was 6.30 PM. I climbed down from the island and opened his fridge to see nothing in there. Just mineral bottles and cans of beers, a box of kimchi, must be from his mom. I opened the freezer and found nothing. The fridge was barely functional in his apartment.
I sighed, "Seok-woo when did the last time you go grocery shopping?"
He shrugged and grabbed the mineral water, finished it in one go. "I don't remember, maybe last month? I just ordered food lately. Have no time to cook, baby," he kissed the top of my head and threw the empty bottle into the trash can.
"The day when you came here and bring lunch boxes was the first proper meal I had in a week," he continued, leaning his back to the island I sat before.
I was thinking for a moment, then glanced at him and his clean kitchen, "Shall I cook for you?" I said finally, and he smiled.
* * *
We took the trolley and started scanning the fresh-market section in the supermarket. After pondering what he would like for dinner, Seok-woo finally decided on bulgogi and collagen soup.
We quickly proceeded to the beef section, choosing which beef cut we should buy. I was about to grab sukiyaki slices when he held my hand.
"Can we buy this instead?" he handed me a Korean beef package. As I took the item from him, my eyes widened upon seeing the price.
"This one is more expensive, are you sure?" I asked him again. He just nodded nonchalantly. He put two packages of Korean beef and one box of dice-cuts Korean beef into the trolley. He then went to the vegetable section.
As for the collagen soup, I grabbed two carrots, radish, bean sprouts, and onions. I double-checked the trolley items and counted what else I needed when a middle-aged woman approached us. Both I and Seok-woo were stunned when she offered two cups of drinks while smiling.
"Excuse me, sorry for interrupting. I want to promote a new product from our company; this is a health tonic. The tonic is well-known for increasing stamina and the immunity system; this is the tester," the lady handed us the drinks. Seok-woo and I looked at each other confusedly at first.
"Please have a taste," she smiled politely. As to respect her, we both took the cups and drank them in one shot. It was a mixture of ginger and red ginseng, a bit bitter, but it wasn't that bad for me since I'm okay with herbal.
"Thank you," I gave the cup back to her. Seok-woo finished it after me, and his face scrunched, tasting the bitterness.
The old lady laughed in amusement, "You can taste a bit of young dates extract. It's also good for a newlywed couple; it can boost fertility,"
Both Seok-woo and I coughed from the awkwardness. "Ah, I see," I responded to her after controlling myself.
"How much is it?" Seok-woo asked her with a slight hint of mischievousness. I glared at him, which he ignored.
The lady smiled even brightly, "5000 Won for one pack, contains 15 sachets,"
"Okay then, we'll take one," I hit Seokwoo's arm lightly, hinted him to stop playing. Seok-woo frowned and muttered a low "why? Let's try it," I facepalmed but then grinned when I saw the lady was smiling meaningfully at us.
"Thank you so much," she happily handed him one pack of their product. She grabbed Seokwoo's hand and squeezed it a little. "You're still young, strong, and handsome, too. You two can have lots of children if you want to, please have a happy and long last marriage,"
"Of course, we are," Seok-woo proudly smiled while hugging me. "We planned to have two sons and two daughters, right wifey?"
I nudged his ribs lightly, and he winched. "Thank you, ma'am, please excuse us," I dragged the taller guy away from the poor lady before he could utter another nonsense.
Seok-woo chuckled when we reached the other side of the alley. "You're too much, Kim Seok-woo. Stop laughing at her," I scolded him while trying to hold my laughter.
"It can boost fertility though," he moved his body closer to mine and nearly engulfed my tiny body at once into his embrace. He leaned down to kiss my neck. I gasped and glanced nervously to find there was no one in that narrow alley.
"Can you please be patient till we get home? I need three more ingredients," my voice came out in a whisper, to which he replied with a low alluring voice precisely on my right ear.
"Alright, then, can't wait," Seok-woo winked when he saw me was about to give him another punch.
Collected the last three items-bulgogi sauce, collagen broth, and vermicelli-we were now heading to the cashier when suddenly Seokwoo handed me his credit card.
"I need to go to the restroom. Baby, can you do the payment?"
I took the card and nodded, "I'll wait outside then,"
"Okay," he kissed my cheek before leaving, attracted the attention of other visitors. They couldn't help to stare and giggling at us.
Geez! Kim Seok-woo.
I've waited for almost 10 minutes in front of the supermarket entrance. But this Kim Seok-woo's whereabouts were still unknown. I tried to call him but no answer.
Where did he go?
I redialed his phone number when someone bumped onto me, and my phone slipped from my hand, landed right on the floor.
"Oh," the man exclaimed and took my phone. Well, unfortunately, the screen cracked. He gave it to me while apologizing.
"I'm sorry," he then saw the damage and was offering compensation.
"No, no, it's fine," I assured. It was cracked on the corner but still working. So, everything was alright, I assumed.
I saw the guy's face; he looked guilty. "It's still working, no problem," I said again.
He was about to reply, but he paused. "May I see it?" he asked, and I gave my phone to him. He typed something and then gave it back to me.
"It's my number. Let me know if anything happened or if your phone is completely broken. I'll take full responsibility," the man convinced.
I nodded, and he asked for leave after apologizing one more time. The guy then left, heading to his car while checking on me a few times. He nodded once again before climbed up his car and drove out of the parking lot.
I checked on my phone. Despite the crack, everything was still normal. When I hit the dial icon, I saw the guy saved his number and named it 'Jjang~.'
I burst into laughter and shook my head. But then I realized that the guy seemed familiar.
"Whose you're talking to?" I was startled as I heard a voice came from my back and saw Seok-woo was standing there, judging with his stare.
"Oh, I don't know. That man bumped on me, and my phone dropped," I showed him my phone screen. He took it and examining the damage.
"Just external damage. Your phone case is quite thick. You're lucky," Seok-woo gave the phone back, then put his arm around my shoulder, protectively walked me to his car.
Wondering about his unusual action. I stared at him once we were in his car. He sensed my gaze but tried to avoid it by focusing his eyes on the road.
"What?" he asked finally.
I was thinking the best word before answering, "You act weird," I said honestly.
"Like what? I didn't do anything," his tone was cold and stern, yet I could still sense tenderness and something behind it. I furrowed my brows, analyzing his expression.
He diverted his gaze and made a straight face.
"You're not usually like this, though," I still kept analyzing his face. "What's wrong?" I asked him carefully and tried not to offend him. We had just made up; the situation had just gotten better. Hence I didn't want to ruin anything now.
I sighed and continued, "Let me know if something went wrong so that I could find the solution,"
He remained silent as the car entered the highway. He drove at a steady pace, skillfully overtook a few cars, escaping us from the traffic jam.
"You were smiling," he sounded.
I looked at him, confused. "Me? When?"
"You know that dude?" he replied to me with another question.
I was at a loss at first as to where he directed the conversation. But then next second, the idea hit me. He referred to the guy at the supermarket.
"I don't," I told him honestly, to which he replied with a short 'hm.'
I was about to retort but held my words back as I might seem to make excuses. Then I realized something. Out of curiosity, I asked him instead, "Are you jealous?"
He didn't expect that I would throw him such a question. He was bewildered for a split second, then suddenly locked his eyes on me. The car stopped at a traffic light.
I raised an eyebrow, still clueless why'd he behave this way. Well, I knew Seok-woo was a full-pride man. He was confident with himself; he would never be insecure about his girl flirting with another man. So, this was new.
I spoke first before him, "if you saw me laughing, it was because he saved his number on my phone and named it Jjang,"
"Why would you have his number?" his voice slightly raised. "You guys exchanged numbers?"
I sighed. Calming him down.
"We didn't. He saved it by himself. He told me if anything happened to my phone, I should call him so he can give me the compensation," I explained it at last. But he was quiet. "That's it," I concluded.
As Seokwoo was still silent, I turned to face the front. Things I said were the actual events. I had nothing to hide, anyway.
The car turned to Seokwoo's apartment basement. He parked the car then turned off the engine. "Give me your phone," he ordered. I pouted but obeyed as he said. After a moment, he gave the phone back.
"What did you do?" I asked him when he reached the back seat. Grabbing the groceries.
"He had your number," I checked on my phone to see that guy's number was gone. "He used your phone to call his cellphone, so technically, you two were exchanging numbers,"
"I don't know he did that," I almost forgot that my boyfriend was an IT; he found out the trace that I overlooked. We were already heading back to his apartment unit. He hit the passcode and opened the door for me.
"I blocked his number on your phone and deleted it. He won't be able to call or text you," his sentence was final.
"I don't know you can be this possessive, Seok-woo?" my tone was half teased him and half surprised.
"Oh, I can be like that if necessary," his stare was threatening. I was stunned. "I left you for 15 minutes, and another guy already approached you,"
He found me smiling at him while unpacking the groceries. Halted from what I was doing, I faced him, and he stared me back. Cursing inside my mind why this guy had to be this tall. I moved my hand, giving his stiffened broad shoulder muscle a light massage.
I pulled him down by his neck, and he leaned down willingly as I pecked him on the lips, then smiled again after we parted.
His eyes hazed with a familiar desire. He grabbed me by my waist and once again pulled me up to the island. Kissing me like there was no tomorrow. He roamed his hand on all my exposed skin then groaned.
"You're doomed, Kim Hyeyoon; you awaken the beast," he carried me with his skillful arms and walked us to his room.
As our hearts missed each other for the lack of connection, so did our physical longed for each other. While the man above me moved to satisfy the need, I reached out to caress his cheek, reassuring him that I was also climbing up to the top as he did.
Panting hard, he slowed down to check on my expression. I looked at him and nodded. Letting him controlled the pace. He was always the one who leads. The moment he released what was bottled up inside was precisely the bit I was willing to receive. He then fell on top of me, catching his ragged breath.
Whispering the sweetest words of love and gratefulness while caressing my upper arm gently. I hugged him, stroking his back delicately as we were feeling each other warmth to the fullest.
We both breathed in and out when I heard his stomach growling. I laughed, and he chuckled.
I kissed him before got up, "I'll cook. You can wash up. The dinner will be ready right after you clean up," I said as I grabbed a random white shirt from his drawer, then walked out to the kitchen.

A/N :
Hi, here's another update
So, I've read all your comments. And after a lot of considerations, though it's not easy, I made some adjustments to the story.
I was planning to shorten the flashback into 5 or 6 chapters, so that's why I made things and conflict between Seok-woo and Hyeyoon came a bit faster. But, if I did it like that, the story won't have a solid foundation to develop in the future.
I want to end the flashback sooner because I want Kiyong to appear, too. LOL
But since Seok-woo and Hyeyoon still have more stories to be told, I think I will take it slowly from now.
Thank you, everyone, for reading this story. I'm so glad to hear your comments and feedback.
I know I still need more practice to improve. Sorry for the grammar mistakes. Hehe
Hope everyone still enjoys reading their story (Seok-woo and Hyeyoon) :D
Till we meet again in the next update.
Much of Love
