34. Morning Flight

Hyeyoon's POV.

We arrived at the airport at 6.30 AM. The driver was driving really fast, thank goodness we arrived 30 minutes early from the usual 2hours driving from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, and we weren't late for the flight.

We decided to the flight from Guangzhou since the Shenzhen to San Fransico would take more hours and stops, meanwhile from Guangzhou only 1 stop at Narita Japan.

Rowoon pulled a trolley and quickly dropped all our luggage. We both bowed to the driver and said a lot of thank you before dashed to the departure entrance.

"Hyeyoon, faster," he with his long limbs were able to take longer step while me still struggling with my backpack.

The latter then impatiently grabbed my hand and pulled me while he was pushing the trolley.

We both were off-schedule, we were supposed to leave the hotel at 4 AM, yet we finally leave an hour later. We were both overslept after last night's couch talk. I didn't really remember how I ended up passed out on his couch. But the last thing I remembered was he brought two glasses of champagne. I took a few sips, and I literally passed out because of that small amount of alcohol?

My heart started to beat a bit faster, got nervous as we might do another mistake unconsciously. I looked up to see Rowoon was now showing our flight reservation to the security guard before entering the departure entrance.

We both passed through the security check and proceeded to the check-in counter. There weren't too many queues, and Rowoon immediately went to the counter to check-in. The airport was quite huge with so many gates, glad I was traveling with someone or else I would completely get lost. Our departure was located in terminal 2, China Southern Airlines especially located in this area.

I watched as Rowoon talked to the counter staff and started to load the baggage.

"Is here no self-check-in counter like in Incheon?" I asked Rowoon and he glanced at me.

"There is, but I assumed it's only for a no baggage check-in. I'm not sure, I haven't tried it," he gave his passport to the counter staff and I gave him mine, too.

"Your gate is at level 3, gate A150, boarding time 8.20 AM it's in an hour, Sir. Please proceeded to the waiting room immediately," the staff gave him the boarding passes, "and this is your seat, 16 E and 16 F at upper deck section," the staff then gave him our both boarding passes and passport back.

"Thank you," Rowoon took it and handed mine. He sighed in relief and glanced at his watch. "We have an hour, we won't make it to the lounge, so just proceed to the regular waiting room," he told me and I just shrugged it off. I was fine either way.

"Okay,"

"I'm hungry," he said while rubbing his abdomen and I chuckled. Yes, we skipped breakfast and I was feeling hungry, too. "But they will serve us meal on board anyway. Shall we get bread or something first?" he asked me with his innocent face and I couldn't help a smile.

"Sure," I followed him and we walked slowly to the boarding gate area. We decided to look for beverages and bread around the area so we won't go far when the call for boarding was announced.

Rowoon decided to go to Starbucks. He ordered black coffee for him and a vanilla latte for me.

"Isn't it too early for caffeine?" I asked him as he took a sip of his beverage.

He shook his head. "I'm fine," he started chewing the croissant and wandered his gaze around the café. Still early and the passengers were not that much.

"Hey, how come I fell asleep like that last night?" I straightforwardly asked him and he nearly choked his coffee.

I gave him a tissue to wipe his mouth and he tried to calm himself down before answering.

"You fell asleep on the couch. More like passed out though, I covered you with blanket and—" he hung his words and checked on my expression.

"And what?" I judged him.

"You didn't remember? Seriously, Hyeyoon are you drunk with a glass of champagne?" he sounded in disbelief.

I frowned. I remembered drinking the alcohol but I didn't know how I ended up passed out afterward. "I don't know, I'm not sure," I told him and curiously asked him, "did I do something wrong?"

He sighed. "You cuddled on me," he threw his face outside the café windows and stared blankly at the waiting room across the food and beverages area.

"What?" I gasped. "And you just let me like that thus we slept together in that position?"

"What are you thinking?" he playfully flicked his fingers on my forehead. I rubbed the skin while looking at him. "at first I just let you but then you whimpering in your sleep. I thought you were crying,"

I shocked upon hearing it, he just made it up, didn't he? "No way," I denied. He chuckled. I knew he was lying.

"You were whining like a baby, and you talked in your sleep?" he explained. I could feel my cheeks were getting hotter. I blushed and felt embarrassed.

"You're making it up," I didn't believe him at all. "What did I say in my sleep?" I challenge him if he did state the truth.

"You're calling a name," he cast his gaze from me and looked away.

"Whose name?" I dared him to spill it out, still not believing him.

Rowoon didn't answer me right away. He breathed out slowly and blinked a few times and stared back at me once again, he let out a half-smile before said it in a short and clear voice, "Me," his expression was softened and he threw a gently stare at me.

I stunned. He caught me speechless and asked me a question.

"Are you often dreaming about me, Hyeyoon?" his voice was too soft. Too gently that made me froze and unable to utter anything. My eyes shaking rapidly, and he also caught that. He reached out to grab my hand and cupped it in his large palm, sending a warm sensation that sent a weird tingling feeling in my entire system.

I was too frozen to the point I couldn't really move my body. Even when he slightly rubbing the back of my hand. I could only shut my eyes tightly and let out a heavy sigh.

"Are you still thinking of me, Hyeyoon? You need to tell me the truth," he demanded and I couldn't hold it anymore. "Hyeyoon, I can be honest to you, so do you. You have to be honest with yourself, at least,"

Just when I finally was able to raise my face to look at him, the call for boarding of our flight was announced. I pulled my hand out from him and got up.

"Let's go, we need to board the plane," I told him with a trembling voice. Rowoon just stared at me blankly and I left him alone in the café, rushed to the departure gate by myself.

* * *

I board the plane through the priority boarding gate for business and first-class, then proceeded to enter the aircraft. An air stewardess greeted me at the gate and as my seat was placed at the upper deck, I went through the upper deck door.

"May I see your boarding pass, ma'am," the lady politely asked me. As she checked on my boarding pass, she escorted me to my seat and offered to help with my backpack. "Your seat ma'am," she helped me preparing my seat and started to offer me beverages, and gave me a hot wet towel.

"Just water, please," I told her and she smiled before excused herself to get me a glass of water. The stewardess came back to give me the water and I thanked her.

I was still stunned to hear what Rowoon had just said. He figured out that I dreamed about him sometimes. It was so embarrassing. What would he think of me? I got a boyfriend yet still thinking even dreaming of my ex-boyfriend. It was so, shameful.

I was cursing at myself silently when I heard someone walked closer to my seat. He was coming.

"Hello," an unknown voice was heard and I immediately raised my face to see a Caucasian man stood in front of the seat beside me. He smiled warmly at me and suddenly took the seat next to me.

I got surprised and looked at him with widened eyes. He saw my expression and the way I looked at him, and he just smiled it off.

"Sorry, who are you?" I asked him and the guy with blue eyes turned his body slightly to face me.

"Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Nelson," he reached out his hand, "I believe this seat is available, do you mind if I sit here with you?" I reminded silent and didn't take his hand. The guy realized that I hadn't made any movements so he pulled his hand back and clasp. "I traveled alone so I saw you're sitting here alone, I wondered if you're just like me, traveling alone and we can sit together and talk a lot during the flight, I can be your onboard companion, if you don't mind," he smirked.

I flabbergasted upon hearing his offer and after a few seconds of staring blankly at him, I was about to retort when there was someone else who cleared his throat. Rowoon was standing tall in front of his seat and was seen unpleased to the guy who was taking his seat.

"It's my seat," he told the guy. His tone was stiff and cold.

But to my surprise, the guy named Nelson answered him back lightly, "oh, are you sure? I saw her entered the plane alone, are you sure you guys are traveling together? Or are you just trying to be a hero for her?" he laughed dryly and turned back at me. "Do you know him?" he asked me.

This guy is insane.

I gaped and saw Rowoon started clenching his jaw. He was holding his anger.

This needed to be stopped. "Sorry, Mr. Nelson. But this seat is occupied, yes, I'm traveling with him, so, please leave. It's his seat," I told him and the guy named Nelson just raised his eyebrow cockily.

He ready to get up when he looked at me again and smiled, "Alright then, you're so interesting, I like you at the first sight," he turned to see Rowoon and his expression was so frightening right now, "I'm on the next section if you want to come and talk to me," he chuckled and rose. He patted Rowoon's shoulder and smirked, "your girlfriend is pretty, lucky to you," he then walked away and went to the back section.

Rowoon then put his backpack on the cabin baggage at the top and sat on his seat. He didn't look at me at all. I didn't know what to say so I just kept quiet as another stewardess came to help him with his necessities.

I remembered Rowoon was a very protective and jealous type of boyfriend so I wasn't sure whether he was being so quiet and not talking to me right now was because of what just happened or because of something else. I didn't dare to ask.

We were about to take off and Rowoon stopped his activity scrolling his phone. He put his phone on flight mode and put it back in his pocket. He leaned back to the backrest and sighed.

"Your seatbelt, please ma'am," an air stewardess reminded me and I immediately buckled the seatbelt. I completely forgot about the safety procedure due to the recent occurrence. I glanced at Rowoon who now was staring at me silently.

I flinched. I didn't know he was watching over me.

"What?" I asked him, he must be aware of my tremble voice. Yet he ignored it and kept staring at me.

I frowned.

"Nothing," he replied shortly. Then diverted his gaze back to front. He started sliding the widescreen TV aimlessly in front of him. Searching for nothing. Now it was my turn to looked at him weirdly, as to see him behave strangely.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked him but he ignored me. He was being unresponsive was somewhat offended me. Felt hurt, I planned to ignore him back forever then.

But then he sounded, "how did you know his name?" he asked me out of the blue and I was dumbfounded.

I was confused for a split second before realizing who he was referring to. I rolled my eyes in frustration. "He said his name," I told him. "What's wrong with you, really, Rowoon," I seriously didn't get why he was behaving like this. Was he being jealous right now? Why? He wasn't even my boyfriend anymore.

Rowoon seemed to know his place and status yet he tried really hard to hold himself up. Didn't make his emotion too obvious yet it was crystal clear to me. He was angry.

"Don't be mad at me, I'm totally innocent. I never invited him to sit there nor I'd known him before," I told him in a cold tone and Rowoon stopped sliding the screen.

The plane was slowly moving now, running taxi and proceeded to the runway for take off. The plane rotated and paused for a few seconds.

Rowoon now ignoring the flatscreen and leaned back to his seat. He turned his face to the side and looking at me. "You haven't answered my question, Hyeyoon," his voice came out low and heavy. "I'm still waiting for your answer," he has this helpless expression a few times in these past days. I was now aware of his new expression.

The engines started, and the plane sped up to take off. The roar of the airplane engines were filled throughout the entire cabin. We were the only passengers in this section. The lighting was dimmed off as the plane was ready to take off.

In the dimmed light, I saw his eyes sparkling. His thick eyebrows and how he desperately waiting for me to tell him the truth. He urged me to be honest with both of us. Just like what he did last night.

The airplane started floating in the air and increased the altitude. The sound of the engine was slowed down as it started to stay air bound at 40.000 ft. I was still not answering him, yet he never broke his gaze to me. I sighed in frustration.

I turned to him and the light went on again. He was still waiting.

"Rowoon," I sighed. "Stop staring at me," I told him yet he didn't budge. He and his persistence, and I gave up.

"I demand your answer, now, Kim Hyeyoon," his voice hoarse and that voice always made me giddy. He saw me nervously biting my lips. I sighed for a few times but it didn't even lessen the weight in my heart. It started to suffocate me.

I stared at him and stated, "Yes,"

He stunned. His expression changed and it softened as his eyes widened, he was in surprise.

I added, "yes, I'm still dreaming of you sometimes, it was weird," I turned my gaze and told him the truth. "It happened more intensely lately when you showed up again. It's getting more uncontrollable when we're together," I gazed at him helplessly. Half blaming him for what happened with me all these years. "You've haunted me for years, Rowoon. I can't really get a peaceful life, and it was so frustrating," I let everything out, eventually.

He was bewildered at the fact I just revealed. He looked restless in his seat and suddenly got up just as the seatbelt light was switched off.

"I—" he stuttered. "I need to go to the restroom," he told me. "Excuse me," with that, he walked unsteadily toward the restroom. Leaving me alone in perplexity.

A/N :

*Grinning widely*

I will do whatever I want with this story, so I will ignore any bad comments that will say "Hyeyoon shouldn't cheat on her boyfriend". Or something like that. LOL

Because of those comments, I literally tried to adjust the story yet it didn't work well.

I need to go back to its original plan in my head. Can't change it. Sorry.

LOL

Don't worry, I won't make her do such things. *grins*

Ok, I will just zip my mouth and not spoil anything. :D

See you again very soon~ (I'm really in the mood to write, I can produce more chapters I think)
