Mustique Island

When Spring Break finally came for Arcadia Prep and the rest of the world, I'd asked my grandmother if I could go to Mustique with the British royal family. To my surprise, Grandmother agreed.

I approached Windsor, going on the back side of the property where the private jet would be waiting for us. I stopped driving when I saw Prince William approaching me with Charlotte in his arms, resting on his left hip.

"Hi!" I said once I'd rolled down the window so that we could speak.

"Hey, Stace! Are you ready for the weekend vacation in Mustique?"

"Absolutely! Erm . . . . Where do I need to park?"

"I can get one of our officers to show you to our garage. We're all meeting out here, though, so that we can all go into the helicopter together."

"Alright. I'll be with you guys in a second."

William nodded before waving to one of the officers dressed in their uniforms.

"Kian! Please escort Grand Duchess Anastasia II to the garages so that she can place her car in our garage for the weekend?" Prince William suggested in a kind voice.

Kian, the officer, nodded to let Prince William know that he heard him. He motioned for me to follow him by driving. Once we got to the garage, he lifted the door up so that I could park the car. I turned off the ignition and quickly got out. A couple of the butlers hurried over and offered to help me with my luggage. At first, I politely refused. But they insisted that they should help, as it's their job.

"Stacey! Stacey!" Charlotte greeted. She bounced up and down on her feet as she hurried towards me, with George following behind.

"Wait for me, Charlie! You're going too fast!" George whined.

"How are my little royal ones?" I asked as I managed to pick both siblings up.

"Excited!" George squealed enthusiastically.

"You're going to love Mustique, Stacey!" Charlotte added, bouncing in my arms with excitement. She grinned broadly, showing that she was really excited to get going with the vacation after the luggage had been loaded into the belly of the jet. The propellers of the jet spun, blowing grass everywhere behind it.

"Are you four ready?" Princess Kate asked in a loud voice over the roaring of the propellers.

"Ready when everyone else is!" Geoffrey hollered back over the roaring of the propellers.

I set Charlotte down on her feet and we began to make our way to the private jet.

One British airman handed George, Charlotte, and Louis to Prince William and Princess Kate, as they were both already in the cabin. Geoffrey climbed up the small flight of stairs and then helped me up the rest of the way. We buckled on our seatbelts as the pilots began to prepare for liftoff.

After the exhausting four-hour airplane ride was over, we'd finally made it to the tiny island of Mustique. The island that George and Charlotte had been talking about for the past couple of days since they'd asked me if I wanted to join the Windsor family on their Spring vacation. Once we got our luggage out of the helicopter's belly, and we made sure that everyone had gotten their things, the helicopter took off once again, back to England.

"Alright, everyone! Let's go get our rooms!" Prince William announced, clapping his hands together to get everyone's attention.

"Papa? When will Gan-Gan be here? I thought that she would be joining us!" said George with a pout.

"She'll be here later this evening, son," Prince William reassured his son. "She's got some royal duties to attend to, remember? Not everyone's life as a royal is easy."

"Okay. And what about Grandpa Wales, Gaga, Aunt Eugie, Uncle Jack-Jack, Aunt BeaBea, and Uncle Eudo?"

"Charles and Camilla said that they'd be here around ten o'clock this evening. So you might not be able to see them because you'll be in bed. As for Eugenie, Jack, Beatrice, and Eduardo, they might be here by mid-morning tomorrow."

"But that's too long to wait! I haven't seen them since Christmas!" George insisted.

"I'll make sure to tell Charles and Camilla that you want to see them. Maybe they'll come into your room later tonight to give you a good-night's kiss?"

George brightened at that idea.

"Okay! That's a deal!"

We headed inside and Geoffrey offered to show me my room. I dragged my luggage behind me as we walked down the cold marble-tiled hallways so that I could be shown my bedroom.

"This is the guest bedroom," said Prince William as he opened the door, motioning for me to take a look inside of it. "There's a guest bathroom connected to the bedroom as well. Kate and I will be in the kitchen preparing a little snack. You are more than welcome to join us if you'd like."

I peered through the door to take in everything. It had a beachy kind of vibe to it that I liked. The windows and doors had been opened to let some air into it. I let my lungs breathe in the salty ocean air. And immediately, I felt at home. This was a view that I'd love to wake up to every morning this week.

I allowed myself to relax after spending four hours in a private jet, stretching out my legs and making sure to take in the view. After a while of resting from the plane flight, I sat up and went to the main part of the villa where everyone else was already hanging out. The adults were drinking wine, and George, Charlotte, and Louis were running around, shrieking, squealing, and laughing.

"Tag! You're it!" Charlotte squealed as she shoved her brother a bit roughly in the shoulder. He whined but started chasing her back anyways.

They ran past me, and I laughed at their reaction. The royal children were so fun! They had a lovely energy around them. How could you not love adorable children like them?

"Stacey, come over here!" said Princess Kate when she saw me.

I smiled sheepishly before joining Prince William, Princess Kate, and Geoffrey.

"Which type of wine would you prefer, Stacey?" Princess Kate asked as she began to pull out several bottles of expensive wine.

"I guess that I'll take either Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir," I answered.

Princess Kate smiled.

"I like your taste in wine, Stace," she reassured me. "I'm more of a white wine kind of person, but I like your choices."

She winked at me before pouring me a decent amount of wine in my glass before handing it over to me. I took a sip and immediately felt satisfied with the taste.

"Stacey! Stacey!" Charlotte squealed as she ran up to me.

"Yes, Charlotte?"

"Come play in the pool with us!" To her mother, she added, "We can go in the pool, can't we, Mama?"

Princess Kate smiled, laughing.

"We're on vacation, sweetheart. Of course, we can do whatever you'd like."

Charlotte cheered, pumping her fists in the air.

"Can you please come to the pool with us, Stacey?"

I glanced outside through the double French doors. The light shone on the rippling water, causing the clear surface of the pool to shimmer and sparkle. Behind the pool, the Caribbean sea had waves gently crashing onto the sandy shore. The sight looked so irresistible, I couldn't say 'no' to the royal children!

"Okay, I'll go with you. But first, I need to change into my bathing suit," I laughed.

The children cheered when I gave them my reply. I smiled at their enthusiasm. They were just too adorable, you can't resist them!

I went back to my guest bedroom and changed quickly into my two-piece bathing suit. I took a good look at myself in the mirror. The top and bottom were a light shade of sage green, dotted with little daisies. And I felt really confident in my own body. I slipped on my flip flops and finally stepped out of the door and back to the kitchen again, where Prince William was hanging out with Geoffrey.

Geoffrey was the first one to catch sight of me and his mouth fell open in shock and surprise. I found myself blushing, looking down at my feet. I suddenly wondered if my swim suit was too revealing.

"What?" I asked shyly.

"Stace," he breathed, his cheeks flushing red. "You — You look absolutely stunning in that bathing suit!"

"Really? It's not too revealing?" I asked anxiously.

"Trust me, Stace," said Prince William as he walked over towards me with a glass of wine in his hands. He grinned at me. "Whenever I first saw Princess Kate in her bathing suit, I reacted the same way as Geoff did. And I told her the exact same thing — it's not too revealing."

"And no one is going to be watching us, as we're basically surrounded with tropical trees, grass, and stuff like that. It's not like I'm going to get jealous any time soon," Geoffrey reassured me, grinning broadly. He still had a tint of red on his cheeks, and he eyed me up and down.

"Well . . . . I'll take your word for it, I guess," I replied, grinning nervously. Trying to be more casual, I asked, "Where are the children?"

"Princess Kate is getting them ready, don't worry," Prince William answered, grinning. "I'm telling you, Stace. Those children love you to pieces."

"You know what Charlotte's already suggesting?" said Geoffrey, who looked slightly embarrassed, yet he had a rather dreamy look on his face.

"What's that, son?"

"Charlie is demanding that we should get married already." He rolled his eyes. "Trust me, I want to marry Stacey, just not at this moment."

He messed with something in his pocket, but I decided to ignore it.

"Take all the time that you need, son," said Prince William.

The royal children soon came out in their bathing suits. The littlest one, Louis, clung to his mother's neck, looking a bit shy and a little tired.

"I like your bathing suit, Stacey!" squealed Charlotte.

"I like yours, too," I replied as I got a good look at her pink bathing suit that had white polka dots decorating the whole thing, a classic mix. "Are you three ready to go and play in the pool?"

The children cheered and made their way through the double French doors that led to the pool. The pool overlooked the Caribbean sea, and I watched the waves crashing gently onto the shore, the white caps shining perfectly in the sun.

"We'll join you guys in a bit," Princess Kate called out from the kitchen island where she and William were hanging out. I noticed the look of adoration Prince William had on his face as he stared at his wife.

"Aww. Can't you join us now, Mummy?" Louis pleaded with a pout on his lips.

"Your father and I want to settle in for a little longer. Geoff will come out in a little bit when he finishes unpacking. We'll have family time today, son. I promise. Mommy and Daddy are kind of busy."

The pout on Louis' lips suddenly quirked upward to a smile as he perked up a bit.

"Okay! Promise?"

"I could never lie to you, son," Prince William answered.

"We should probably hurry, Louis," I suggested. "Your siblings are already at the pool."

"Okay!" Louis cheered, and he hurried out the double French doors that were already open.

I threw my hair up in a quick, messy top-knot bun at the top of my head, not even caring about how it looked. My head is going to get wet in the water anyways, right?

I swam around leisurely, making sure to keep an eye on the three royal siblings, making sure that they didn't do anything rash. They refused to go to the deep end of the pool, knowing that their feet wouldn't be able to touch the floor. The kids decided to play Marco Polo for a little while, and I stepped in to make sure that they didn't go into the deeper part, by either calling for them to turn back, or to catch one of the royal children and turn to face them in the right direction.

"Oi, Stacey!" Geoffrey called, not even thirty minutes later.

I looked over my right shoulder to see Geoffrey at the double French doors, wearing swim shoes, a pair of expensive black Gucci swim trunks that had its logo embroidered around the waist band. He wore a white Casablanca swim shirt that had a blue-and-red logo close to the right side of his chest.

"Incoming!" he bellowed. He took off, sprinting for the pool. Once he got close to the edge, he leapt off the sun-baked, stone-embedded concrete and cannonballed into the water. His cannonball followed by a huge splash!, sending water everywhere. Charlotte shrieked and then giggled.

"Uncle Geoffy, you got me all wet!" she playfully accused, though she giggled.

"Oops. Sorry about that, princess," Geoffrey answered. He approached her side and gave his niece a quick peck on the cheek. "What games have we been playing, little ones?"

"Georgie, Louis, and I have been playing Marco Polo," Charlotte immediately answered.

Geoffrey looked surprised, raising an eyebrow.

"I thought you said that you didn't like getting in the deep end of the pool?"

"I stepped in and made sure that they didn't go the wrong way," I answered immediately. "I want to keep the children safe."

"And good thing, too. I often wished that we had a swim guard out here while these ones swim in the pool with no adults around."

"I'm getting kind of tired of playing Marco Polo," George complained as he carefully swam over towards us. "Can we please play something else?"

"What about Cornhole?" I suggested.

"Do we even have the equipment for that?" Charlotte asked, tilting her head to the left in confusion.

"I think we might," Geoffrey answered. "I'll take a look in our big basket of swimming equipment."

"No, I'll do it. You just got in the pool," I insisted.

Geoffrey gave me a look but he finally gave in after he saw me glaring at him. He sighed with a look of defeat on his face.

"Fine. You can go get it. Don't take too long, though."

I smiled and pecked his cheek gently. He looked rather flustered, which never failed to amuse me. Even George giggled a bit when he noticed the red flush on his uncle's face. He pointed at him, looking amused.

"Hehe, Uncle Geoffrey's blushing."

"Oi!" Geoffrey whined, pouting.

"What? It's not like I'm completely oblivious," George answered sassily.

"None of us are oblivious, Georgie," Charlotte giggled.

"Okay, leave your Uncle Geoffrey alone," I laughed.

Geoffrey gave me a grateful look and I went to fish out the Cornhole floaties along with the water bean bags for us to toss them into. Finally, after an hour or two of playing various games in the pool —

"Mummy! Daddy!" George squealed excitedly.

I glanced over at the door and sure enough, Prince William and Princess Kate were making their way to the pool. The insecurity I'd been feeling for a while had faded when I noticed that Princess Kate also wore a bikini. Maybe not like mine, but it made me feel a bit better, knowing that I wasn't the only girl who wore a two-piece bathing suit.

"What are we playing?" Prince William asked as he and Princess Kate stepped into the pool.

"We were playing Cornhole earlier," Goeffrey answered as he began to collect the waterproof bean bags that were floating lazily around us. "But I think that these three are done for right now."

Sure enough, the three children had gone to play something else, still making sure to keep away from the deep end of the pool. Princess Kate turned her attention away from the children and smiled at us.

"Would anyone like to play Volleyball?" she asked.

"Do we have a ball for that?" Geoffrey asked.

"I'm sure we do. Hon, can you please find one while you find the floating net for Volleyball?" Princess Kate asked her husband.

"Sure thing, love," he answered. He gave Princess Kate a quick peck on the cheek before climbing out of the pool to grab the equipment for our game of water Volleyball.

"Alright, who wants to pitch first?!" Prince William asked as he held a waterproof ball over his head, ready to shoot it at whoever wanted to catch the ball first.

"Give it here, Uncle William!" Geoffrey insisted as he bounced up and down, his hands in the air.

"Ready?! Catch!"

Prince William tossed the ball into the air before batting it towards Geoffrey, who amazingly caught it. We all cheered, laughing at his success.

"I barely tried," said Geoffrey with much sarcasm, making us all laugh.

"Alright, I got the floating Volleyball net," Prince William called out as he dragged a large purple floaty Volleyball net. He slowly slid it into the water with the help of Princess Kate. Prince William waded into the water shortly after the Volleyball net made it into the water.

"Which team is which?" Geoffrey asked.

"How about this: Adults play on one side, and you two kids play on the other?" Princess Kate suggested.

"I like the sound of that," I agreed enthusiastically. I turned to Geoffrey with a mischievous look on my face. "Geoff? Are you ready to beat the adults in a game of Volleyball?"

Geoffrey grinned back.

"May the best team win."
