Chapter Thirteen: My family
(Y/n) followed the car as it flew down the street, she watched where it went carefully. Her eyes rolled as the car started to swerve as the driver was being stupid. The girl landed and jumped off again, she heard part of the conversation in the car. It was about her. She scoffed, this was none of he Germans or Ceasar's business. She was here for some answers. And to follow this energy that was beckoning her to come. Makin her get closer and closer. She would not run now that she knew for a fact that she was safe around these beings, her people. She wanted to know who they were. Who was beckoning her? She set down again near the coliseum before jumping once more, she had been there before. The energy was stronger.
Her body set down as the car stopped, she hopped up onto Ceasar's shoulder and stuck her tongue at him as he walked up to a face on a wall. The blond scoffed. "You and your grandfather act a lot alike.," the girl commented, "I cried when I saw he died. But he went into that fight knowing that he was going to die. He died to protect everyone. Have pride in that, Ceasar." She jumped onto Speedwagon's shoulder after that and unclipped her cloak. She no longer needed it as the sun was down.
Her horns shone in a silver light under the moon. A sign of her bloodline. The young German officer stared before he opened the secret entrance behind the face. The Mouth of Truth. It was the entrance to the resting place. The place was unearthly to the humans, but comfortable to the girl. The girl looked into the darkness, her eyes quickly adjusting to the low light. She felt three life forces ahead, their energy was massive. One stood out, that one was calling for her. The blood was calling. "Can you sense anything?," Speedwagon asked the girl after commenting on the caverns. "Yes. I feel life forces further back.," the girl answered, "I feel strong ones." "She must be sensing the sleeping pillar men.," Ceasar said,"How are you able to sense them?"
(Y/n) tapped her main horn, "My horns. They are able to sense heat, heartbeats and life energy. They are the most sensitive part of my body, so I use them like a radar system to track down enemies or prey." She was taken off Speedwagon's shoulder by Joseph as Speedwagon and Ceasar began to talk about his hamon experiments. The brunet hugged the little girl to his chest as they finally reached the end of the stairs and into the main cavern, "It's Quiet, there should be guards right?" He placed the girl down so that she could look around. He noticed that she ran to a certain place and crouched down to poke at something on the ground. "Ewwwwww.," they heard the child say as they realized there should be guards around. Joseph walked over to her only to step on something, "Gross! Is this bat guano?!" (Y/n) laughed as the flashlight beam was pointed to her and what she was playing with.
Husk corpses of dead German soldiers. (Y/n) was laughing as the others were freaking out. She felt three forces deeper into the darkness and hid behind Speedwagon's legs to observe. Speedwagon noticed this as the German soldier who brought them here ran deeper into the caverns... and into the path of the awoken pillar men. Ceasar called for the soldier to run away, but the call came too late. One of the Warriors walked right through him and ate half of his body. The plum haired girl kept out of sight and out of the way of the Warriors who had awakened. She did pick up the jewels that had fallen off of the wall as she heard the exchange between Ceasar and the German.
The child snuck away from the group of humans and hid behind a pillar to watch these warriors. One with dark skin, white hair and a cross shaped mark on his face. One with tanned skin, blond hair and a square shaped mark on his face. And finally, the one that had the most power drawing the girl towards him, one with eyeshadow like markings, red eyes and dark cloth wrapped around his head and upper torso. All of them were muscular, large, and adorned with gold and jewels. She hid as she sensed the one with the head wrap look towards her direction. She heard the white haired one ask him about that his answer was, "I thought I saw something." This voice was the same one she had been hearing. From back in the past when she first heard the voice to just a few hours ago when the voice was asking where she was. This was the one she was supposed to meet!
She held her hand over her mouth as to not make any noise. She heard the one in the headwrap, the leader, the one she was supposed to meet, order them to go outside and observe the changes to the world. She stayed behind, fighting instinct to follow them in order to try and rationalize what everything that happened was. She heard their names after one of them reacted out if instinct to attack the other. Wamuu, Esidisi and Kars. Kars. That name was warm in (y/n)'s mind. It made her happy to hear. Like how his voice made her happy to listen to. Her red eyes looked back to see Ceasar was enraged. The German soldier had died. Joseph and Ceasar both were angered by the death of a young man whose life had only just begun, he had so much more years to live had he not been killed. The girl watched as Ceasar lunged for the attack, stepping on Wamuu's shadow to get his attention. He launched a barrage of hamon charged bubbles to surround the pillar warriors. Wamuu touched one of the bubbles and his finger was injured. The blond warrior understood what this was and whipped his head to create a vortex that tore the bubbles apart. (Y/n) slowly came out of hiding to watch, her horns sensed every movement of energy around them. Ceasar's face was sliced up by the still-active vortex.
The ancient men that stood on the stairs before them looked back at the hamon user who dared to attack. Kars spoke first, "The hamon tribe." "I thought we eliminated them all 2,000 years ago.," Esidisi commented, "But here they are in Rome, waiting for us to awaken." The vortex settled down finally as Ceasar stood, "Damn you! You killed my friend! You think losing an eye will stop me?!" (Y/n) recognized these words, as did the warriors whom Ceasar spoke to. Her memories had finally returned fully as she came out of hiding. The ancient men laughed as Ceasar demanded to know what was so funny. "Because you speak the same words your ancestors did. They claimed to care not if they lost eyes or limbs, they would curse my warriors for killing their friends.," the girl spoke as she walked up behind Ceasar and Joseph, "Two thousand years and you say the same things." Her voice immediately caught the attention of the ancient men. The leader of which locked eyes with hers, "(y/n), I thought I saw you. Come take your place."
The girl jumped and used Ceasar's back as a springboard to launch herself over to Kars and set down on his shoulder. "Glad to see you again, Father.," the girl said with a smile.
"My god, their faces look alike, this is indeed her father!," Speedwagon spoke in shock.
Kars made sure his child was safely on his shoulder before turning, "Let's go, we have to find the stone." The other two turned to follow their master and his child. Ceasar was not done, "You monsters!" He launched an attack again, only to be stopped by Wamuu plunging his fingers into his throat.
"Your throat and lungs are your weak points. We know that I you can't breathe, you can't use hamon.," Wamuu spoke, "Now I must tell you what I have told all of the others. Come face me when you are stronger, Boy! I want to admire your strength before I utterly destroy you." Wamuu threw Ceasar down to the ground as the little one on his master's shoulder giggled, "Always the noble and proud warrior, Wamuu. Keep sharp, there is another hamon user here." "Hm.," the warrior acknowledged the girl's word as he trusted her, "Which one?" "The fool who has his chest puffed proudly.," the girl said as Joseph started to feign coughing. Wamuu turned to Joseph who had his chest puffed as the girl said. "He's a fool, but a competent user. Perhaps he could be a threat if he was trained.," the girl said to her father as the man started to chuckle. "You did well in keeping yourself safe, (y/n), I am proud.," Her father replied as they observed Joseph spinning his volleys only to hit himself on the head, "He is a fool as you said." The girl heard Esidisi chuckle as well from the foolish human, "He is at least somewhat entertaining with his foolishness." The girl smiled, "My thoughts exactly, uncle Esidisi. Especially when he fought that vampire."
"Vampire?," Her father asked and she nodded, "Sounds like a human found our masks." The little girl nodded, "He did, but he was a Hamon master before he became a vampire, he even helped me to fight a vampire that was made by my mask fifty years ago. That vampire was a jerk, but he was a very good quality vampire. He could flash freeze opponents and shoot beams from his eyes."
Kars smiled slightly at the words of his daughter, "Sounds like you had some fun without us." "Yes I did. But it looks like Wamuu is having some fun now.," Thr girl said as she watched Wamuu and Joseph fight. Wamuu had sliced Joseph's wrist to act as a timer. The blood was spewing from Joseph's wrist, the girl could see he was getting pale. "He might have less than a minute if his heart rate keeps up like this.," the child said as the two ancient warriors with her decided to keep going. "Wamuu. We'll be outside.," Kars said and carried his child out with Esidisi following. The night sky was beautiful. Esidisi smelled the scents of the surrounding area, "All of these human inventions. The world has changed much as we slept." "Humans enjoy inventions and the comforts they bring.," the girl spoke, "I'll even admit that I like a few of the human inventions. Electricity and hot water plumbing especially." She was not scolded by her father like she expected to be, he instead made a short laugh. "You mentioned that you fought a high quality vampire?," Esidisi asked the girl. "I did not remember that I could eat him at that time. So he was killed without me having a meal. But the zombies he created were pretty good to eat.," she responded, "I had to go back to sleep after receiving an injury while defending some humans that I kind of liked." Esidisi made a face that told her that he was holding back some teasing remark he wanted to say.
(Y/n) stuck her tongue out at her uncle as her father carried her around as they walked, Esidisi returned the gesture with a smile. "Has anything else happened that we should know of?," Kars inquired of his daughter. "I met with the one you left behind. He was found and awoken by humans. He killed them but was defeated by Joseph Joestar or Jojo, the one who is fighting Wamuu.," the girl replied, "The humans have named him Santana." "Did he hurt you?," Kars asked. (Y/n) shook her head, "He was not violent towards me. He was violent towards the humans who irritated him."
Kars stood at the top on some old ruins and looked at the night sky, his eyes showed his mind was in the past again. It had to be that time again. Esidisi was lower down and watching for signs of Wamuu. From one of the shafts came a minecart. Both Kars and Esidisi were surprised by this. "Looks like Jojo was using tricks again. Very tricky human.," the little girl said as the two older pillars watched what was happening below. Joseph was laying on his back on the ground, the British young man had survived a Divine Sandstorm. Wamuu was going to finish him off when Joseph started to just talk to him, saying the right things to get Wamuu to spare him. Esidisi jumped down to see what was taking so long. Wamuu finally made the decision to let Joseph live and grow stronger, he looked up to the girl, "Lady (y/n)! I require the ring."
"You want to use that old thing again?," Esidisi chuckled at the younger warrior. Kars allowed his daughter to jump down and give Wamuu the ring of virulent poison. Wamuu placed it on Joseph's heart, Esidisi took the other ring and placed it around Joseph's windpipe. They explained that the antidote to the poison was in their piercings. The little plum haired girl jumped back up into the arms of her father. She nuzzled her face to her father's chest before he jumped off into the sky to find a place for them to stay during the day.
