Chapter Sixty-five: The fallen

Santana was still at his desk when (y/n) ran into the room, he looked up to the child. "Is something wrong, (y/n)?," he asked with immediate concern and rose from his desk. He picked up the child and held her. Familiar scents reached his nose and his eyes widened, "This can't be possible. They are dead." "They are, but they have not passed on. They are ghosts.," the child responded as Santana sat her down on the large bed. His scarlet eyes were serious, "Tell me everything." The little girl looked at her hands.
(Y/n) told him everything that happened. She told him about hearing voices from a ghost alley and finally going in to find her mother and uncles there. She told him about how the other ghost there wanted help with finding a murderer. The pillar man listened to the little girl as she spoke. His face had a look of shock on it. "Do you think that I... might be able to go and try to see them?," Santana asked when (y/n) finished explaining.

The plum haired girl nodded, "Perhaps. But I don't know if you can see them like I can, you don't have a stand." "It is worth a try.," Santana spoke. The little girl let out a small sigh and hopped off of the bed, "Then let's go. We can bring Caesar too." The older pillar smiled slightly. He was sort of lookin forward to it. Even if he was not able to see his old allies again, he would at least have a good little adventure with the little girl. He watched her walk to the film covered window to look outside, they had a clear view into town and the sun that was setting over it. (Y/n)'s eyes looked a little sad as she watched the sun, Santana joined her to watch the sun set. This was the only way he could.
A small hand found its way into his. He softly squeezed the little hand. "These memories I have are bittersweet. Lost loved ones make it bitter, yet the fun we had together makes it sweet.," (y/n) mused softly. Santana smiled a little, "Yeah. They are, they sure are." The little girl let his hand go so that she could leave the room to go next door to see Caesar. Her small hand knocked on his door and she waited for a bit before the door opened, "Hello?"

He looked left and right before looking down, his green eyes met red ones. "I was wondering if someone was playing Ding dong ditch.," Caesar said and crouched down, only to get his cheeks pulled, "Ow. That is one bad habit you picked up." The plum haired child only grinned as a response to him. The blond man took her hands off of his cheeks and pulled on hers, "Not so fun when it is your cheeks, huh?" The girl's little cheek stretched like rubber, much like the bodies of her uncles. "Caesar, Santana and I are going out tonight, we wanted to know if you wanted to come as well.," the little girl whined as her cheeks were finally let go, "We're heading to the ghost alley. My mother is there. So is Wamuu and Esidisi."
Caesar's green eyes widened a bit. "Will you come?," the child inquired. "I don't know if it will be appropriate after everything that has happened.," the Italian man answered. "Just come dammit.," the harsh words of Santana spoke up from behind the two. "A little impatient, are we?," Caesar chuckled as he rose with the smaller pillar in his arms, "I'll come." "Good.," Santana spoke and turned around to walk and was met with Kakyoin coming back to his room after he was visiting Jotaro. The red haired man looked between the ones in from of him, "Are you three going somewhere?"

"We're going to a ghost Alley. Koichi and I found one today. My uncles and mother are there.," the child explained. Kakyoin nodded, not really seeming to understand what she was saying fully. "Come with us and see.," the little girl said and Santana walked by him. "Follow.," the Vermillion man said. Caesar followed Santana, Kakyoin, being curious, followed as well. The cool night air met them as they stepped outside. A small wind whipped around them. Caesar placed the little girl down, "So, where is this ghost alley?" The child showed them the way, through the business district and to where she remembered the alleyway to be. Reimi was there.
(Y/n) walked up to her and looked up, Esidisi was looking down at her from the top of the convenience store. "I have some friends who want to see my family.," The small girl explained to the ghost. Reimi looked up to the three men that were approaching then behind her, "You do know the risks. Right?" The plum haired child nodded, she was ready to show them the way out if needed and to warn them of the danger. The ghost girl disappeared as the three men caught up, the alley had reappeared.

"This is it? The ghost alley?," Kakyoin inquired and looked down to his little friend. The child looked up to him, "It is. This leads to a world between the living and the dead. Inside is the murdered girl, Reimi and her dog, Arnold. My mother and uncles are in there as well." "Then we have no time to lose. Let's go.," Santana spoke. He seemed a little excited at the promise of seeing his old allies again. "Wait.," (y/n) Said and drew attention back to herself, "Once we go in, we are no longer in the world of the living. To leave, you have to follow me all the way back out and not look back, no matter what you hear. When you are back here on the street is when you are safe."
Caesar tensed up at this news, "So we're crossing into the land of the dead?" "No. Just a limbo state.," (y/n) replied and walked forward with Santana after taking his hand. The world around them turned grey and cold. Kakyoin saw his breath in front of him. Caesar looked around at the area as a fog rolled in from the cold night air, from the fog came some figures. Figures that Santana and Caesar recognized.

Wamuu was the first to emerge from the fog. He was whole. No wounds. His horn was out. Caesar stepped back as the fallen pillar man's green eyes looked at him. "Wamuu, it's been a long time.," the blond Italian man said. Wamuu gave a nod, "It has, Caesar. I believed that you had died there. Yet, (y/n) gave you mercy after our battle." Kakyoin recognized the shape of Wamuu, "You. It was you who was pulling the blanket over her in Pakistan!" The blond pillar looked to Kakyoin, "I do admit that I was following your group during your journey to Egypt. But, I was not the only one." Santana stepped forward, he and Wamuu seemed to be sizing each other up. "You left me in mexico.," Santana harshly spoke to Wamuu. "You were not ready to travel any more with us. Lord Kars ordered you to stay there and keep the temple where both you and (y/n) would sleep protected," Wamuu explained, "I did not want to leave you. Yet we had no other choice."
This enraged Santana. He lept at Wamuu and extended his rib blades, "There is always a choice!" Kakyoin was about to interfere when he felt a small hand hold him back. "They have pent up anger that they need to resolve. Let them struggle. This is their conversation.," (y/n) spoke before turning to look behind her, "Besides. We have the other two to talk to." "Other two?," Kakyoin asked and followed (y/n)'s gaze.

A dark skinned white haired warrior and a woman who looked like the child's doll. Kakyoin recognized the woman from the photo that Joseph took. Caesar recognized the warrior. Esidisi had a smug smile on his face as Ivory smiled warmly. The brunette placed a hand over her chest, "It is good to finally meet you. I am Ivory, (y/n)'s mother. Thank you for taking care of my daughter." "Looks like Wamuu and Santana are fighting again, Ivory. You would think they would calm down after over 2,000 years.," Esidisi chuckled. Ivory made a small laugh, "I think they will just be lively young men for as long as they are at this age." Kakyoin looked at the two fighting before turning back to the ones before him, "It is a pleasure to finally meet you. (Y/n) has told me a lot about you, Esidisi." The white haired pillar made a cackle and stepped forward, "And you are Noriaki Kakyoin. Your stand name is Hierophant green and you are one of (y/n)'s pet- I mean friends."
Ivory made a giggle at Kakyoin and Caesar's expressions as her daughter clung to her legs, "You are good friends of my daughter. I have watched all of you for so long." The woman picked up her child to hold as Caesar made a bow to her. "I apologize for what my ancestors have done to you! I may not be the one who did it, but I don't feel right about the murder of an innocent life.," the blond Italian man apologized.

The green eyed woman in front of him held her daughter with one hand and raised the Italian man up with the other, "I have forgiven them a long time ago. You don't have to apologize." Caesar looked up to the woman and stood up tall as she held her daughter. The child was snuggling close to her mother. Kakyoin had begun to talk to Esidisi about his history as Caesar was a little uncomfortable. He was standing in front of the woman that gave birth to Kars's daughter, her ghost at least. "You and Joseph were proud and good warriors. I won't deny that Kars was not that good of a man, but also won't deny that I loved him. I understand your position towards him and the others.," the woman said and nuzzled her face against her daughter's little head.
"I have read the story left behind by the warrior that was able to get away.," Caesar spoke, "I wondered why you would sacrifice yourself for something like this." (Y/n) looked to her mother's saddened but smiling face. "I had nothing left to lose. Yet, I gained everything I ever wanted. I had a purpose right up to the day I died after Kars and I agreed to try to have a child.," the woman explained, "He only wanted to try an experiment and I... well. You can guess."

The sounds of the battle that was occurring nearby subsided as both participants was laying on the ground, tired. Ivory laughed as soon as she saw the sight, "Just like when you two were younger. You boys are always like this." Esidisi started to laugh at the two young warriors as well. The white dress clad woman walked over to the two warriors and set the girl down before she knelt by the two. Santana was facedown while Wamuu was on his back. "Did you two get everything out of your systems?," Ivory asked.  Both of the Warriors groaned an affirmative to the woman. (Y/n) climbed onto the back of her guard.
The two groups, the living and the dead were able to converse, to learn about each other and to settle old differences. Wamuu and Caesar forgave each other and understood why each had to do what they did. Kakyoin got to meet the pillar men that he had heard so much about. They were ale to display their abilities to each other in this space where the invisible becomes visible. (Y/n) showed her stand's wings and power to her mom and family. Her mother mentioned that she saw a figure hovering behind her as the child called her stand out. Was her stand getting closer to being able to fully emerge?

It was getting late after the group had talked and started to make a better relationship between them. Caesar and Kakyoin had to go to bed. Santana was sad that they had to go, but he understood. The little girl led them to the mouth of the exit. "Once we pass that corner, don't look back. No matter what you sense or hear. I don't know what it is, but it almost devoured Koichi.," (y/n) explained and took both Caesar and Santana's hands, "Keep your eyes on the exit. Once we leave. The door to this place will close for us." The little girl and the two with her started walking forward with Kakyoin behind them. The noises they heard, the scents, the feelings. They heard Ivory's voice, but it was a trick. The group stood firm as they walked through the Grey fog and stepped out into the clear night.
All of them sighed a breath of relief. It was safe. The alley was gone. In its place was the ghost girl, Reimi and her Slaughtered dog. Arnold's neck wound dripped blood with a horrific sound, his huffing wheezes were not pleasant either. Caesar could see her now, Santana as well. Reimi gave them a smile, "Did you have fun?" "It was interesting.," Caesar answered. "I saw Wamuu and Esidisi again. I am satisfied.," Santana replied. Reimi smiled, "I'm glad. They were looking forward to seeing you as well." (Y/n) stepped up, "This is Reimi, she was murdered fifteen years ago. The murderer is still here in Morioh. He is still active as she sees the dead passing through every time he kills." They greeted Reimi and she asked them to be aware of this serial killer and perhaps help if they find anything. Although, the speedwagon foundation could not do anything of the man was not a stand user.

The group went back to the hotel, Santana was tired from his fight with Wamuu. Caesar was getting sleepy while he held the tiny pillar girl. Kakyoin let out a yawn. All of them were ready for a good rest. Once they got back to the hotel, they went to their respective rooms. Santana fell facedown onto the soft bed before the small child he was protecting made him roll over so she could curl up against him. He seemed happier. This was good. They got to see the fallen ones.

And that is good.
