Chapter Sixteen: the Burning king
(Y/n) squealed as she was woken up by large warm hands tickling her sides. Her giggles echoed in the room as a chuckle joined in with her laughter. She pouted as the chuckle became teasing laughter. Esidisi had woken her by tickling, again. "Oh? Is the little bunny rabbit mad at me again?," the dark skinned warrior asked. The plum haired pillar child had her cheeks puffed up in anger. Esidisi poked at the girl's cheeks as she sat up on the chair she was left on. "Stop.," the girl whined and pushed against the invading fingers. Esidisi continued to chuckle as he poked the girl's cheeks more. The girl slapped the fingers away, "No!" "It's sundown. Time for us to get up, little lamb.," the dark-skinned warrior spoke and picked the girl up, "Your father let you sleep in." Her warm uncle carried her around the building as she woke up and set her down. He knelt before her, "I'm going to go look for the stone, I have heard of it being under the care of a woman in Italy." The little red eyed child nodded as he placed his huge warm hand on her head. "Wamuu is in Greece, you and Your father will be searching around here.," Esidisi explained, "I will come back after obtaining the stone."
(Y/n) nodded once more. "Hug before I go?," the dark skinned warrior asked and got a hug from his niece. Her small arms squeezed his neck nice and tight as he patted her small back. "I promise to come back.," Esidisi said and left out the front door. The girl watched him jump away, "Be safe, Uncle Esidisi." Her red eyes looked at the sky, the moon was Waxing. It would be a few more nights before the moon was full again. She felt eyes watching her. It was the spectre again. The child went to look for her father. She found him putting on the huge coat and the hat. She jumped onto his back and hid out of his sight. The large man looked around and turned to try and see his daughter. The little girl giggled. Her father reached for her. She crawled out of his reach and into his line of sight. Just where he wanted her. Kars seemed to be much happier once she was in his line of sight. He was always super protective of her. It was his instinct as a father to protect and care for his offspring.
"Where are we going tonight, daddy?," the little child asked as she perched on her father's wide shoulder. Kars looked up at her and took her off of his shoulder to put a coat on her, "We will be looking around in the area of these so called 'germanic' countries." He placed a little knit hat on her head to cover her horns before picking her up again. The vampires wished their master and his child well during their exploration.
The child clung to her father as they left the old building. Kars moved quickly and flew across the countryside. The two set down in one of the smaller cities and explored the area. It was late into the night, not many humans were out. Only the drunk and the unsavory were out. Kars kept his daughter either on his shoulder or held her hand as they walked together. The man kept his daughter away from the humans around. His own intimidating size and presence was enough to scare off most humans. Once he found it was safe enough, he let her play near him. He kept an eye on his daughter as well as watching the surrounding environment.
Kars was determined to find the stone and complete his task to become the ultimate lifeform, he would be able to completely protect his daughter once he did. The girl looked around and played happily. Her harmless childish antics made her father smile slightly. Kars knelt by his daughter as she played in the small park they stopped in, "What is on your mind?" "I have seen a human woman in the places we stay. The same woman is following us.," the little girl spoke, "She looks like she is hurt. Her belly..."
"Is cut open.," Her father finished, "I was there when she died." The plum haired man looked to the sky, "But I have felt like she has been following us." His red eyes seemed to be a little sad. The man picked his child up and held her, "She has been watching over you. I've never seen her after she died, but I felt like she was there."
The plum haired child felt the arms of her father embrace her as he began to walk, "we need to wait for word from Esidisi. He found the stone." The child felt the pain that her father was feeling. This human woman must have meant something to the ancient and godlike man. "He will find a way to get the stone to us.," the little girl said, "He's ready to do anything to complete his task. Although, I can't help but worry about him." Kars petted his daughter's hair with his clawed hand, "I have faith in him, my Precious." He looked to the horizon. The sky was becoming light, It was time for them to return to the hotel they took over. They were greeted by the vampire Servants once they returned to the hotel. Kars walked back to the rooms. "I think it is time for you to have another bath, (y/n).," Her father spoke, "I think we both need one to calm our nerves."

Unknown to (y/n) and Kars, Esidisi had been fighting Joseph Joestar. The two had a violent struggle. Esidisi fought to return home like he promised to his niece. He did everything he could do to get the stone for his family, even throwing away his pride and possessing the maid of Lisa Lisa, a female Hamon warrior. The warrior was able to get the stone away from the hamon users and send it to the hotel his master and the girl were staying.
His brain was scared out of the maid's body as Joseph and Caesar pumped hamon into the woman's body. He jumped onto Joseph before finally dying in the sunlight. As he died he heard Joseph say that he respected the fallen warrior. Even as he died, Esidisi wanted to finish his task and return to his family like he promised. His brain turned into ash in Joseph's hand as it apologized to the non-present girl.
Joseph and Caesar let their Hamon coach be as the woman got ready and questioned the maid. Joseph and Caesar were quiet as the brunet went over the battle he had with the fiery and dark skinned warrior he had fought. Joseph remembered that Esidisi mentioned (y/n) once or twice during their fight. He wondered how the girl was and how badly the new of Esidisi's death would affect her. Caesar saw Joseph thinking, "What are you thinking of Jojo?" "(Y/n). She's just a child, even though she is Kars's daughter, she is just a kid. A little girl.," the brunet brit said, "What will happen to her once we defeat her family?" Caesar made a confused and slightly disgusted face, "She is a pillar, like her father is. She is a danger that must be dealt with. You heard what Coach Lisa Lisa said about them."
The brunet did remember what their coach said, when the child was born, that is when Kars and the others became even more bloodthirsty and would outright kill any threats to their cause and the child, only letting some live in order to have some entertainment. The two hamon warriors who lived the slaughter saved this story in an old scroll that was in Lisa Lisa's possession. The scroll had the record of what happened written on it. Even a baby's handprint in blood. Lisa Lisa had not yet let the two young warriors look at the scroll. The blond Italian and Joseph got ready to go. Waiting for their coach and her servant, Meshina, to get ready and get the location from Suzie Q., the maid.

(Y/n) sat still as her hair was being brushed by a servant. Her father was still in the bath. She had gotten out after she was clean and happy. Once the girl's hair was brushed out, she was allowed to go play in the Old castle turned hotel. The plum haired child walked and explored the building, passing by very submissive vampire servants. She looked around and found the library so that she could do some reading.
It was quiet in the library, save for the shuffling of some Vampires. She was able to find a book about animals and read it. The girl looked over the pictures and the words in the old book, taking in the information as much as possible. Although, she found a lot of bad information in the books, humans had a lot of misinformation. The girl did like the pictures though.
She heard her father looking for her and closed the book before walking out of the library. She followed his footsteps and found him looking for her. The girl took his hand and held it. He looked down and relaxed a bit, "Time for us to go again and wait for word from Esidisi."
The little girl hugged onto her father's arm. He lifted her up as she clung to her father's arm and giggled as she hung from his arm. He chuckled and walked back to the room where he kept his human disguise and the cute jacket he got for his daughter. Again they disguised themselves as human and again they went out into the world to wait for word from Esidisi. Kars walked the streets of Switzerland with his beloved daughter on his shoulder. The girl was allowed to play nearby him as he waited by a phone. The little girl played before seeing a little white dog walk up to her and her father. She looked at the dog and let it sniff her hand before she petted it. The dog whined happily as it was pet by the pillar child. (Y/n) felt her father watch her pet the dog. Somewhere, a bell rang to signal the time. The puppy barked for more attention as the girl stood and looked to her father when he called her name. "(Y/n). Let's go, say goodbye to the dog.," the man said and took her hand with his large one. She walked away and waved to the dog behind then, "Bye bye puppy."
She saw a car coming in fast, the car was going to hit the puppy. Her hand gripped her father's tighter, afraid for the life of the sweet little puppy. (Y/n) heard the sound of her father's blades come out of his arm and slice through flesh. She looked back and saw the car miss the dog, but it crashed and killed the two humans inside. The little girl looked forward again and walked with her father. Esidisi had not sent word about anything. The girl feared the worst. She followed her father and they looked into what happened.
Esidisi was dead. The news made (y/n)'s heart drop to her stomach. The last thing he told her was that he would be back home once he was done with his task. The last thing they did was tease and give each other a hug. She still felt his warmth from that hug. Warmth that she would never have again. She would never know the warmth of her uncle's embrace because he was killed. Because of Joseph. Jojo killed her uncle.
Sure they did not get along most of the time because of Esidisi's tendency to tease her, but she did not hate him. They actually were pretty close. But those days were over. Esidisi was killed. The child bore her teeth as tears dripped from her eyes as her father carried her and wiped the salty tears streaming down her face. His eyes seemed more determined to finish this.
Joseph Joestar had to pay for what he did.
