Chapter Seventy-three: Killer Queen

The sun rose and cast its filtered light over the two pillars that rested in the hotel. Morning had rose in Morioh. Santana had finished his book a while ago, he looked out of the window and watched the sky. The tiny pillar child was quietly curled up on the bed, lost in her own mind. The scarlet eyed man looked to the child who was in his care. He knew she was not alseep. She was just so deep in thought and emotionally spent Tha she looked like she was sleeping. With how much she broke down the previous night, she needed the rest. Santana rose from his seat and picked the child up. He propped her up against his chest like he had done many times before when she was an infant. He had adored her since she was born. He always wanted to hold her when she was an infant. She was nothing like her father.
Santana put a kiss on her head and went to the couch to sit on it. He leaned back with the smaller pillar on his chest and rested. His own mind wandered back to the days when he would try and sneak a look at the baby. She was new and fascinating. His scarlet eyes closed and listened to her breathing.

He felt her little hands grip the fabric of his cloak. Her voice was hoarse when she spoke, "Santana... I'm sorry..." "You're worried about me. I understand.," the man responded, "I love you too." (Y/n) nuzzled her tiny face into his chest, "I don't feel him. He's gone. He's not out there anymore. Those times I thought I lost him yet he was still there... this is not like it. This time... he's gone completely." The pillar man patted her head, "You were trying to reach him after you cried, right?" "Yeah...," the little girl replied softly. "You really adore him.," he smiled slightly, "Although I don't blame you. Master Kars was an incredible man." "I love daddy. I miss him. Like everyone else.," the little girl whined, "The curse of being a pillar among humans, you live to watch everyone you love die."
"Immortality is lonely and boring.," Santana mused, "Feeling one dimensional when there is an ocean of depth." His scarlet eyes opened and looked down at the little girl, "Isn't it tiring to pretend to be happy all of the time. Especially when you are not?" "It is. But, it seems to make others happy.," (y/n) replied, "It also helps to hide me among the humans better." Her small cheek was squished against his chest. Her eyes were closed and her small arms were trying to hug around his broad chest. Something she would not be able to do as a child. Santana patted her back, "You don't have to worry about hamon anymore, yet you do have to worry about stands that might be able to kill you. Yet hiding among humans hurts you more, seeing them age and die so fast. Are you still mad at Jojo for not keeping his promise?"

"Yeah... I am.," (y/n) made an angry face, "He promised that he would stay strong, he would keep doing his hamon and teach it to someone... but look at him.. he's weak." Santana patted the child's back as her tiny clawed hands gripped him tight. "Humans are weak. So easily tempted by desires.," Santana spoke. "Don't remind me.," the little girl huffed. The vermillion haired man chuckled, "At least Josuke is not an asshole." "Watch it. That's my stepbrother.," the little girl pouted. She looked up to Santana with her little red eyes. He looked down at her with a kind smile, the kind he used to give her when she was an infant. He patted her soft and fluffy hair. He placed another kiss on her little forehead.
A knock at their door made Santana stand and put the tiny girl on his back. Her small hands allowed her to cling to his back easily. The vermillion haired man opened the door and saw Jotaro there. Kakyoin was with him. "We're going to investigate the tailor shops downtown. We need you to help us, (y/n). You and Shigechi were the only ones to have seen him.," Jotaro spoke. Kakyoin had a smile on his face, "Unless you don't feel like you can." The small red eyes glared at Kakyoin after his teasing. "I want to bisect the bastard.," the little girl said. "Where did that come from?," the red haired man laughed. "He's a killer. He tried to kill Shigechi and I.," the little girl replied, "He's too dangerous to let roam."

"Some may say that about you.," Jotaro pointed out. "I don't kill humans, if I do, it is to protect others.," the little girl said, "I don't enjoy killing." Santana stayed quiet. He did not want to be brought into this conversation as he liked fighting and killing. The vermillion haired man felt the little girl jump off of his shoulder and onto Kakyoin's. The red haired Japanese man had thankfully been able to regain his lost muscle mass, so it did not hurt him to have the little girl on his shoulder again. "We'll return her unharmed, Santana.," Kakyoin smiled, "You don't have to risk going out today, it's going to be very sunny." The vermillion haired man pointed at them, "Nothing happens to her." His ribs shifted like angry snakes under his skin to emphasize his point. "She'll be fine.," Kakyoin spoke and walked away with Jotaro. The little plum haired girl on his shoulder looked back at her guard before he closed the door to his room.
She hugged Kakyoin's head. "So, how unique was this man's clothes?," Jotaro asked. "Very.," the pillar girl responded, "The whole suit looked to be custom made. Perhaps a wealthy man who works as a businessman just to hide in society." "That's oddly specific.," Kakyoin spoke. (Y/n)'s hands played with Kakyoin's long strand of hair, "Just saying what I noticed during the fight. He looks unique enough that I might be able to pick him out."

Jotaro listened to his aunt talk, "That would be helpful." "The strange thing is, I have ran into him a few times before. With Iggy.," the little girl spoke, "He always smells like death." Kakyoin had to get her to stop playing with his hair, before she made it into a braid. The two men walked to Morioh together and looked through the shops of the business district. (Y/n) saw Rohan at a cafe and turned her head to ignore him. She saw Iggy and Caesar walking down another street with Joseph in tow, they seemed to be having a good time. She wondered if Polnareff was okay. She heard that he was somewhere in Italy, investigating some arrows there. He broke contact with the Speedwagon foundation a year ago.
The plum haired pillar was worried about her friend. Something at the back of her mind asked her if she thought that her pet could not protect himself, she pushed that thought back. "Did you two have a good breakfast this morning?," (y/n) asked Kakyoin. "Very. I enjoyed the tea that was provided.," the red haired male answered, "The breakfast pastries were nice as well." "I bet they were delicious.," the little pillar chimed and gave his head a snuggle. "Not as sweet as you.," Kakyoin replied. Their group continued to walk and look at stores. None of the tailor shops had the scent of death in them.

The bastard who was blowing people up with his stand had to have been using a shop that was not as well known but did good work. Kakyoin looked at his watch, "Who would have thought that it would take his long to find a serial killer's suit?" "We will find it.," Jotaro spoke up. (Y/n) laid her head on top of Kakyoin's before she smelled something, the scent of death. Her head rose and she sniffed the air. Jotaro looked to the child, "Do you smell something?" "I do. It's the unmistakable scent of death.," the plum haired pillar spoke, "That way." Her small hand pointed to a shop.
Jotaro looked towards the shop, "Then we investigate that." (Y/n) Sat on Kakyoin's shoulder as they walked to the shop. The two stopped in front of the shop and took a good look at it. It looked to be an old shop. Inside were custom apparel hung delicately and lovingly on display. They heard the voice of Koichi, "Jotaro, Kakyoin, (y/n)! Hello!" The little girl's red eyes looked over to fhe silver haired boy, his new hairstyle reminded her somewhat of her Uncle Wamuu's, and a little of that Stronheim guy. "Is Shigechi okay?," Koichi asked, "I heard from Josuke about what happened."

"Shigechi is in the hospital still. Even with (y/n)'s efforts, she did not keep him completely intact.," Jotaro spoke, "He lost a hand and a leg. The injuries to his spine will probably cause him to be paralyzed." "The doctors at the Speedwagon foundation can make him a prosthetic leg.," Kakyoin added, "He may be able to walk again, with therapy." Kakyoin walked into the shop with Jotaro following him, Koichi followed both. Everyone's eyes looked around before landing on the owner of the shop, an old man who greeted them warmly. "Welcome! How may I help you?," the man asked. "We were just looking around.," Jotaro answered. The old man nodded and held out a box of animal crackers, "Little ones, want some animal crackers? You can have any of them, just leave the camels for me." Koichi said he did not want any while (y/n) hopped off of Kakyoin to take a cracker or two. She nibbled on the crackers as the old man talked to Jotaro and Kakyoin.
Little red eyes spied a familiar fabric as a sickening scent wafted under her nose. Death. The suit they were looking for. The little girl tugged at Jotaro's pants and pointed at the suit, "There!" Jotaro's ocean green eyes followed her finger and saw the suit. The old man looked at the suit, "Oh that? I just finished that. He's one of my best customers." "Can you tell us who he is?," Kakyoin asked. "Of course, it's good business to remember your customers.," the owner replied and took a sip of his coffee, "He has a unique name." "Can you tell us his name?," Jotaro asked, "We needed to find him." "It's quicker if I just look at the card.," the old man said and took another drink of his coffee.

The shop owner got off of his chair and walked to the suit jacket, he took the card to look at it, "Now let's see here." A sensation took over the little girl's horn, a power was here. An evil power. The man's hand exploded in a shower of blood and viscera just as the little girl shouted, "He's here!" The sound of clinking made the group look at the shop owner. A small blue tank like stand was crawling up his shoulder.

"Look over here."

That voice was the same one that the serial killer had. The old man was breathing hard, he looked towards the tank. It jumped into his mouth. (Y/n) knew what was happening, "Everyone, get back now!" Jotaro shielded Koichi from the blast as the small pillar had Kakyoin get down to protect him. The whole shop shook violently. Jotaro let Koichi go, "We have to leave, now." Kakyoin stood with (y/n) in his arms, "Agreed." The two began to walk out of the shop, Koichi yelled that the suit was gone. "That's not our priority now. With how this man is, he wants all traces of his wrongdoing erased. Meaning, he wants us, witnesses, dead.," Jotaro explained, "Although the suit is gone, we have valuable information about him, more than just what (y/n) can give us. Although she will be needed to track him down." Koichi was confused. "The suit was large, meaning he is tall, 175 cm sounds right. He's rich to be able to afford it and unmarried since he brought it here to be repaired. More than likely between 25 and 35 years of age.," Jotaro spoke, "Kakyoin, we need to get out of here. The stand is still present." The red haired man nodded, "I'll have Hierophant look around, (y/n) keep a lookout with your horns." "Just like 11 years ago.," the little girl spoke as she was carried to the door.
"You really think it is still around? It's a bomb it was destroyed.," Koichi spoke. "That bomb was a sub-stand. The main one is still with the killer.," the little girl spoke, "His stand's name is Killer Queen. It is a short range power stand with a strong ability. It is humanoid in form."

Kakyoin carried (y/n) outside as Koichi and Jotaro were still inside, slowly moving towards the door. The power of the stand was still present. She felt it moving and heard Koichi scream. The red haired man let out his stand to look around. Koichi was also looking around with his stand. The gravity of the situation was growing on the girl, this was someone who was able to kill her. She wanted to protect her friends, but this time, she could not. She did not have the power to. Her hands grasped Kakyoin. She felt like a helpless child at that point. Her horns felt Jotaro use his Star Platinum: The World. Kakyoin grimaced, "I see him. He's out of my range. That bastard." They heard another explosion from inside of the store, the windows shattered, cutting both Kakyoin and the plum haired girl. 'This is dangerous! I wish daddy was here, he'd know what to do!,' the tiny girl thought to herself. She felt like the weight that she had shifted off of her slightly.
She looked into the shop and saw that Jotaro had been injured badly. "Kakyoin!," the tiny pillar said and motioned to the unconscious Jotaro. The violet eyed man jumped into the broken window and picked up his injured friend with the help of the tiny child. They both ran into the back of the shop with Koichi following, the silver haired teen turned on light fixtures to distract the stand that seemed to target them by body heat. They had come into a kitchen in the back of the shop. "(Y/n), call Josuke!," Koichi said, "Kakyoin, we need to make as much heat here as possible!" "Got it.," the red haired man said and turned on the stoves and lights that were in the kitchen with Koichi.

(Y/n) dialed the number of her stepbrother and looked with great concern to her nephew. Jotaro needed to be healed. She bounced on her feet as she heard the clicking of the stand's treads getting closer. He finally picked up, "Hello?" "Josuke, we need you right now!," the little girl said. Josuke was quiet before speaking, "Hey, is something happening?" "Yeah! We found the serial killer, his stand hurt Jotaro pretty badly, now we're just trying to survive its onslaught.," (y/n) replied, "The place is called Centipede Apparel." "I'll get there as soon as possible!," Josuke said and hung up. The plum haired girl looked back and saw the stand was there. The small blue tank creeped  closer and closer to them. Kakyoin called out his Hierophant and unleashed an Emerald Splash. It was a direct hit that did not hurt the stand at all.
"Dammit, not a scratch!," the red haired man said. Koichi noticed something, "These stoves are electric, they won't heat as fast as gas!" The little girl pulled her nephew out of the shop as Koichi was thinking of a way to protect his friends. She was able to get her nephew out and felt another explosion as Koichi and Kakyoin was thrown out of the shop. Her ears were ringing from the explosion. The stand was still after them. The tracks creaked.

Ringing filled the pillar child's ears as she lay on the ground to focus on healing her body. She had shielded Jotaro as well as she could. 'Daddy.,' the little girl thought, 'What would you do in this situation?' Her head lifted up as she saw Koichi standing between her, Jotaro, Kakyoin and the stand. Kakyoin's legs were hit by shrapnel and he was bleeding badly. Koichi was panicking. His stand was laying off to the side. Or, at least what was left of act 2... Koichi cried out for help and a silver humanoid figure emerged from the smoke. The number 3 was printed on his shorts in a green marking. It was Koichi's fully evolved stand! (Y/n) felt happy for him and terrified as well. She felt sick, her head was spinning. She struggled to get to her feet, she felt something, someone, lift her up.
The plum haired pillar watched as Koichi used his newfound power and vulgar sentient stand to stop the advance of the bomb that was creeping towards them. However, their fight was only beginning. An energy caught (y/n)'s attention. She looked over to see a blond man glaring at them. Kakyoin was knocked unconscious by the stand, Jotaro was bleeding out. Only she and Koichi stood between them. The feeling she had when she faced Vanilla Ice back in Egypt had returned, she was afraid. Her red eyes looked at the serial killer that was slowly making his way towards the small group. He seemed really nonchalant about this. (Y/n)'s ears were still ringing as he was talking.

The girl knew that face, his scent that had been burned into her mind, this was the serial killer. He was looking at Koichi. The ringing stopped and she was able to hear his voice again, "You're all stand users, even that unusually durable little girl with the horns there. I'll have to dispose of you." Koichi realized who it was and absolutely lost it, he sent Act 3 after the man. Killer Queen was deployed to get rid of the nuisance. (Y/n) wanted to help, she wanted to protect them. Yet she could not. Her stand was underdeveloped, it would not come out even when she screamed for it. She did not even know it's name, what it looked like or what its powers were. Her stand was a pure mystery to herself and everyone around her.
Koichi was stuck in a quandary. He had to act fast. He froze the bomb again and was immediately and viciously attacked by the killer. Mercilessly, he was beaten, kicked and had his head slammed into the pavement over and over again. Blood poured from his wounds. "Stop it.," (y/n) heard herself say. Her voice was drowned out by the killer shouted. "Stop it. Stop it. Stop it!," the little girl shouted, feeling rage bubbling up out of the fear. She had not let everything out when she cried before, there was a hell of a lot more. Something snapped in her when she saw Killer queen punch a hole through Koichi. How many people had she seen this be done to. "I can't take it anymore!," her tiny voice seemed to be joined by another, "AVALON!"

A shrill inhuman scream came from both girl and stand as it finally made its appearance. Long flowing plum hair that, a metallic muscular torso, red eyes that looked like Aja stones, eight bladed wings, six on the torso and one where each leg would be. It looked like her father's ultimate form, yet was a stand of her own soul. The weight was completely off of her. Her body felt like she was no longer in control as both her and her stand slashed at the killer. He dropped Koichi's body to get away barely. The wall next to him got deep gauges where the stand's wings sliced.
Again and again, she slashed at him, cutting everything except the killer. He was being backed into a corner. Right to the now conscious Jotaro. Star Platinum started hitting the stand user in a barrage as the small pillar attacked the area around her blindly, like it was the stand and not her that was fighting. Jotaro gave her a punch after he pummeled the killer, just to get her to stop attacking. He did not stay awake as he fell to blood loss and exhaustion.
