Chapter Seventy-one: Blown away

(Y/n) lay on her stepbrother's chest as he was reading a magazine. She was asleep. He had found her asleep in the sun with Iggy. She probably needed the rest after dealing with Dio and training to get her stand out after that. It had been a few days since Dio the poltergeist had attacked. Josuke felt her slow and deep breathing. She was fast asleep and sleeping hard. The teen heard the snap of a camera and looked over to see that his mother had taken a picture of them. "This is going in the photo album.," the human woman smiled with a laugh. Josuke's cheeks were a light pink as his mom added it to the photo album. He felt the little hands of his stepsister grip his yellow undershirt that he was wearing.
Her little face looked like she was having a nightmare. Josuke patted her little back. What she was having a nightmare about, he did not know. She had plenty of bad experiences in her life to have nightmares from, though. He heard Iggy's claws tap on the hard floors before padding on the soft carpets. The teen saw the dog, he had a big doggy grin as he jumped up onto the couch with Josuke and curled up to nap as well. Josuke went back to reading.

In her mind, (y/n) was not on earth. She was with her father. The last of his mind was currently fading. It was desperate to cling on after feeling his daughter reach out to him again. 'Daddy. I wish you could come back in some form.' He heard this wish of hers. He heard everything she had told him. 'Daddy, I'm scared.' 'Daddy, Where are you now?' 'I love you Daddy.' All of it made him hold on a little longer. He felt the sharp pain of the arrow stab her. He felt her rage, her sorrow, her happiness, all of it. The child and the father longed to see each other. He felt himself wanting to go back like his daughter wished. He felt a pull towards earth.
He wanted to follow that pull. To go back and see his child again. (Y/n) and Kars were together through the link they shared. Spinning together in the expanse he was trapped in. His fading mind clinging on, clinging to his daughter. He felt her fade as she woke from her nap. Yet he did not let go this time, the pull felt greater as he clung onto this link. A pull towards his daughter, to earth.

Red eyes opened as (y/n) felt her little cheeks being tapped by Josuke. The plum haired child yawned and felt like her body was heavier for some reason. She nuzzled her little face into Josuke's chest again, "No. Jojo.." "Are you talking to me or about my father?," the British-Japanese teen asked. The tiny ruby eyes looked up at him, "Jonathan." "I need to move, and your claws were digging into my skin.," Josuke said and pointed to the scratch marks on him. The tiny girl sniffed and ran her hands over the small scratches to fix the damage she did, "Sorry. I felt like I was in the arms of Jonathan while I was checking on my father again."
"You still feel him out there?," the violet-blue eyed Boy inquired with a smile. His tiny stepsister gave him a nod, "I do. I miss my father." "I bet, and from what Santana said about him, he was pretty incredible.," Josuke smiled, "I think he'd be proud of you." Small tears dripped from the tiny child's eyes, "Perhaps so." She hopped off of Josuke and stretched. The sun was going down. Tomorrow was a school day for Josuke. He would need to eat and go to bed. Her body felt heavier. Yet she was the same weight. She said hello to Tomoko before she left to go play with Santana. The little girl set off into the night. She ran past Okuyasu's house and Koichi's house. Past Rohan's home. Her little legs propelled through the town and to the grand Morioh hotel.

The moon and stars twinkled above her. She saw something in the sky. It was like some sort of shooting star. It was very pretty. The small child continued on her way to the grand Morioh hotel. Santana was waiting for her. His scarlet eyes lit up when he saw her. A small smile was on his face. The pillar man knelt down to greet the smaller one. He was greeted with a horned head giving him a headbutt before he felt small arms around him. The headbutt was unintentional. He could forgive that. Santana picked up the small child and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Shall we continue the training?," the vermilion haired pillar man asked and got a nod from the child. "Do I feel heavier to you?," (y/n) asked before she felt Santana raise and lower her to check her weight. "No, not at all.," the vermillion haired man replied, "Are you getting sick? I hear illness weakens the muscles and makes one feel heavier." The girl was going to speak before she felt a hand on her forehead. "You are a little warmer than usual.," the man mused. "I just ran here.," the child pouted, "I want to try and bring my stand out again!"

Santana shook his head, "We've been trying to get your stand to come out for a while. When has been the last time you have taken time to rest.?" "I... have not slept in a while.," the little girl admitted, "I've napped." The pillar man took her into the hotel. She pouted that she did not want to sleep. Santana carried her to his room and set her on the bed, "Sleep. You are still growing. You need more sleep than I do." (Y/n)'s little face became even more pouty. Her guard poked her puffed up cheek to deflate it, "I'll let you have some milk and brush your teeth before bed." He saw a little red eye look at him after he spoke those words, he took a little carton of milk from the mini fridge and held it out to her. "Go to sleep after you drink this.," Santana said as he handed her the carton, "I'll need to finish some more work the Speedwagon foundation sent over."
The vermilion haired pillar sat at the desk and looked over the files and papers the foundation sent, he did not see that Ivory had appeared to cuddle her daughter. The brunette woman hugged the tiny girl as she drank the milk. The milk had been finished and (y/n) was put to bed. Her mother stayed with her and hummed ancient lullabies until the child went to sleep. The brunette woman stayed, even though her daughter was asleep, "I wish I had been killed. Then I could have been the mother that (y/n) had deserved." "But fate had other plans for you.," Santana spoke as he checked over the files for mistakes. "Always so serious.," Ivory chuckled, "But it's kind of endearing. I guess that is why I got along well with Kars." "Master Kars only put up with you because you were bearing his child.," Santana replied, "If he did have any other feelings towards you, it would have been from the bond made by mating." "Hush you.," Ivory scolded.

(Y/n) Slept all night and into the morning. Santana and her mother did not want to wake her so she got all the sleep she needed. The plum haired girl looked around with drowsy eyes before she realized what time it was. She got up and got changed into a cute little sundress with a flower pattern on it. The pillar child ran out of the door to go into the bright new day. Her little feet tapped on the pavement as she ran around. She saw Caesar and Joseph. She saw Kakyoin enjoying himself at a Cafe with Iggy. She passed the seaside where Jotaro was watching tide pools again. Her horns searched for signs of her friends. Then she remembered. It was a school day. She had to go to the high school to see them! The little girl passed a gradeschool and saw the children in their yellow hats running around.
One looked solemn compared to the others. The plum haired girl stopped. She could not help it. She hopped the fence easily and walked through the playground to where the boy was. "Hello.," She chirped. The boy looked up at her from his notebook, "Who are you?" "Do you want my official name or the adopted one?," The pillar girl asked with a friendly smile and a wink. "Either.," the boy replied. "Well. My official name is (y/n), heir to the pillars. My adopted name is (y/n) Joestar.," the girl grinned, "So, what is your name?" The boy looked down, "Ha-Hayato Kawajiri."

"Well, Hayato. Would you like to have a friend?," The little girl smile and placed a clawed finger over her lips, "It's all up to you." "Just. What are you? You have horns, red eyes, claws and sharp teeth.," the boy asked. "That's a question answered if you want to be my friend.," the girl replied, "But I can give you this bit of information. I am older than you and I offer friendship and help to those who need it most." Hayato looked suspicious of her, his brown eyes regarding her hesitantly. (Y/n) looked to the sky, "I need to go now, my stepbrother will be having lunch soon and I want to join him. I am easy to find, if you know where to look."
She gave him a wink from her red eye before she hopped the fence again and disappeared from the boy's view. The pillar girl hopped a little more ways before settling down to walk the rest of the way to the high school. Her nose was filled with the scents of humans before she caught another. This one all too familiar. The smell of death. Strong stand energy permeated the area. The little girl felt another energy. Shigechi.

The little girl felt like her friend was in grave danger. She ran to try and find him. She smelled the scent of blood shortly after, she started to get very very worried for her friend. She followed the scent of his blood. She found him hobbling to the highschool. The pillar girl followed him and noticed a trio of girls leave him behind. She caught him as he fell, "Shigechi!" The boy was gasping, "I have to.. tell Josuke... killer..." (Y/n) bore his weight for him, his was nothing to her. She walked him to the class where Josuke was, only she felt they were not alone. She looked behind her. The stench of death was overwhelming.
A blond man was behind her. His eyes glaring down at the two children before him. He was looking at them from an open window. The stand behind him looked like a pink, buff, humanoid cat. She felt stand energy buzzing on the door handle as Shigechi reached for it. "SHIGECHI, NO!," she screamed as he touched the handle. Without thinking, she cut his hand off right as the stand effect took place. 'Killer Queen' was the name of the stand that this man had, this man was the killer. Shigechi was bleeding out. The plum haired girl did not have time to lose. She had to get him to a hospital. The girl picked him up and ran. She felt a rock hit her. It was thrown by the man's stand. She felt her body be consumed by pain as she took the blast to save Shigechi from it.
Her open wounds glowed bright. Both the explosion and the sunlight was hurting her, yet she pressed on to the hospital. She felt the man follow her before she threw a sharp knife she had from when Dio attacked.

The knives tore at the man's suit. The girl kept carrying her friend to the hospital. He had already passed out. She was almost there. She could see it. (Y/n) had enough of this man. She was bleeding out. Blood poured from the cracks in her skin. She tore a large piece of concrete up with her stand and threw it at the man before she took off with the last of her power. She knew the man was not in good shape after her counterattack. He would have to retreat.
She took Shigechi to the hospital and stumbled into the hobby. The nurses saw her and Shigechi. She had used her dress to stop the bleeding on her friend. "Help us. Please. Don't allow visitors, he may come back to finish the job.," the little girl pleaded, "please, save my friend. We were attacked." The little girl collapsed on the floor, her wounds open and pouring blood. Blood pooled around her. Doctors and nurses scrambled to get these children treated before putting them in a recovery room together.

The one who did this...
He was still out there.
