(Y/n) felt hazy as her eyes opened. Just like she did one hundred years ago. Her little nose smelled the scent of her brother, Jonathan. The little girl nuzzled into the chest she was being held against. She felt a clawed hand on her back, running across her gently. The haziness in her eyes faded and she saw a lock of blond hair in front of her face. It smelled like Dio. She remembered that she was in Dio's mansion in Cairo! Dio's head was attached to Jonathan's body.
No longer was he in his room. He was in a large library, the candles softly flickered in the darkness. Her tiny body was laying on the chest of the body he stole. "Was that nap restful, (y/n)?," DIO asked as he took his eyes off the pages of the book to look at the red eyes of the child who was now sitting up on his stomach. His amber eyes seemed to glow in the soft light of the candles.
The little pillar child nodded as her brother put the book down. He never let go of her though. "You are different since we last saw each other. You seem to be more confident and have a better control over yourself.," the vampire spoke, "The last time I saw you, I accidentally hurt you. I understand that it was Jonathan's fault, but I will apologize for the injury I gave you. I thought you were dead for the longest time." His clawed fingers ran over her soft Plum violet hair. "I am alive, that injury just made me return to sleep and sleep for fifty years.," the little girl replied. The vampire hummed gently, "And what happened then?" "I met Jonathan's grandson, Joseph.," the little girl said, "He was a pretty good Hamon user. "
"It seems like the Hamon skill runs through the Joestar family line.," DIO mused, "How interesting. Did anything else happened back then?" (Y/n) got quiet as she rem what happened. Her little hands gripped together. This did not go unnoticed by DIO, "I'm guessing something did happen. And from your expression, it was rather painful." His hand ran from her hair to her cheek in time to catch a stray tear, "it's okay, tell big brother everything."
"I remember everything now. My brain is fully awake.," the girl said, "I know the purpose of the masks, I remember my family, I know who I am." "And that is?," DIO asked with a small smile on his face as he watched the girl's expression change from sad to proud and powerful. "I am the daughter of the leader of the pillar men, Kars. He is the creator of the masks that gave you your vampire abilities.," the plum haired child answered. DIO's hand froze, his thumb stopped rubbing her smooth and soft cheek. "Oh ho? So you are a princess after all? Pillar men, hm?," He inquired with a small chuckle, "How interesting."
"My father was over 100,000 years old when Joseph defeated him. Uncle Esidisi was around 92,000 years and uncle Wamuu was 12,000 years.," the girl said, "They needed the masks to conquer the sun and be able to walk in the daylight. Sunlight was harmful to them." "Yet you are able to walk in sunlight for a short time, why are you different?," Dio inquired. "My mother was human.," (y/n) answered. "Isn't that a romantic relationship? A human and an ancient creature coming together to make a cute little child.," the vampire mused, "Like something that would be in one of those old fairytales and myths." "Apparently, it was my mother and father's relationship that inspired the myths.," the girl added. This made the vampire laugh. It was a deep laugh that seemed to echo around the room.
"Oh dear (y/n), cute little sister.," DIO's voice made him sound gentle, "Humans do not suit you. Again, I extend the invitation to join me." The pillar child felt conflicted on this. She was mad at Joseph still, but she did not want to betray her friends. Yet, she still loved her brother. The plum haired girl looked down as DIO resumed reading, "I'll let you think about it more. We have time." The plum haired pillar girl fell back onto the muscular chest and dozed as the blond man read from the book.
After what seemed like an hour he stopped to look at the child's face, "Have you eaten at all since you consumed my assassin?" The plum haired pillar girl only rose her head frommhis chest to shake it. "Then you need to feed on something. I need you to be at full strength.," The vampire hummed, "Perhaps I can ask Ice to find someone for you to eat. Or do you want to hunt someone Yourself?" "I eat animals, not humans. The humans I ate was to defend my friends.," the girl said with her cheeks puffed up, "I don't need anything."
The vampire laughed slightly as he knew that she had lied and watched the child as she got down from her spot on him, he felt the cold air reach his chest as the warm little body left. His amber eyes watched her wander the large library and look at the books. "This is bigger than the library in the Joestar mansion.," the little girl said as she looked up at the books that were on the shelves around her.
"I had my servants gather many books and texts to occupy me during the day.," the blond man answered as he sat up and watched the child. He looked to the shadows quickly. He could have sworn he had seen something, someone there in the shadows. Something like a large man. His eyes cut back to the inquisitive little girl reaching up to a book she saw. She was on her little tiptoes as she was reaching up towards a book. Her tiny fingers barely brushed the cover of the book she was reaching for. Dio chuckled a bit, "Having trouble? Do you need help?"
(Y/n)'s cheeks puffed up as she jumped a little to try and reach the book. Dio watched her with amusement. She did not reach the book. She jumped a little too high. She knocked a box on an upper shelf. She did not see the box open and an arrow fall out of it. DIO went back to reading and let (y/n) wander about the library as she wished. He was not that concerned about her as she was very durable.
The little girl kept jumping for that one particular book, it was a book she never got to finish when she was living at the Joestar mansion. She kept jumping for it over and over, not seeing the sharp object that was shifting closer and closer to the edge above her. A clatter made her look up after she landed, a golden, sharp object fell down and impaled her through the heart. Her yelp of surprise made DIO look over quickly.
He was beside her in an instant and pulled the arrow out. He watched the glowing wound close. The little girl did not feel very good after being struck by the sharp arrow. DIO lifted her up from the floor and felt her head, she was pale and now she was burning up. "That fool, Nukesaku put it up there.," DIO huffed and let the girl's head rest against his shoulder, "But that does not matter now. We need to prepare to greet a new friend." Her skin felt like she was on fire. This sudden fever heated her body up.
The blond vampire took the child to a room to let her rest and recuperate from the sudden illness that was ravaging her body. She was in great pain. She did not like the feeling of this pain. It made her feel sick to her stomach. She could feel her muscles rippling with an energy as whatever was happening to her raged on. The pain was great and she could not take this and her weakness at the same time. Darkness met her as she felt a hand brush against her cheek. Her eyes closed as she was forced to sleep from the illness that had unceremoniously gripped her.
The blond vampire left the girl but turned back quickly when he thought he saw a woman's figure by her. The figure was gone when he looked to the girl. He had been seeing things in the shadows. This was bizarre to say the least, he continued to the library as one of his servants approached him. "Vanilla Ice, my dear sister has come down with an illness after being pierced by the arrow. She will need blood to heal from her suffering.," the vampire spoke. "If it pleases you, I will volunteer my own!," the man said. DIO kept looking on towards the library, "No. Find a human to use." The vampire walked on as he left his servant, the ever eager to please servant was ready and willing to do as his master ordered and immediately went to complete the task he had been given.
DIO looked to where his sister had been standing in the library before she was pierced by the golden arrow. He found a red gemstone and a horn. He picked the two items up. The horn was warm, like a fire during winter. The stone seemed to shimmer from the candlelight. DIO held the stone closer to the flickering candle flame to get a better look at the gemstone. To his surprise, it absorbed the fire near it and shot out a bright beam of light that shot into the column beside him, making a small hole. He kept it away from the candle after it was done firing the beam, "Where did you find this, little sister? And what is this horn from?" His amber eyes looked behind him as he saw what seemed to be another man in the room with him, he expected to see Vanilla Ice there, but there was nobody to see. "I have to check for intruders now.," the vampire hissed below his breath and sat on the couch in the library, "I'll return these to (y/n) when she wakes up then."
-
Miles and miles away, the group was worried about their tiny friend. They were on edge since they lost their stand radar. Joseph was worried about his adopted daughter, he had many things that he wanted to tell her and explain to her. She said that she hated him. She reminded him of the guilt he had fifty years ago when he made her an orphan, prompting him to adopt her. The old man had his head in his hands, "I should have not have tried to force her away." "You did what you thought was right, mister Joestar.," Avdol spoke, "You wanted to protect her from DIO, and you did your best to accomplish that. She is just as willful as you said her father was."
Polnareff yawned, "She was being emotional, but I can't help but feel like she did have a point. Do you think that she would abandon us just to join up with her stepbrother?" Jotaro looked to his grandfather, "Well, old man?" "She had done It once before fifty years ago. Caesar, (y/n), Speedwagon and I were investigating the resting place of her warriors in Italy. There, we found two warrior guards and her father. I don't blame her for switching to wanting to be with her father after reuniting with him, but I fear what her siding with DIO would do for us.," Joseph explained, "She's already powerful as a little girl. I fear what would happen if she was under DIO's influence. I Don't fear him using a flesh bud on her, as she will just consume that. I fear him manipulating her with their family bonds into doing what he wants her to do."
Polnareff visibly shuddered, "That is a terrifying thought." Joseph brought out a camera he had bought, "That's why I want to check on her with this." "A spirit photograph?," Avdol asked. "Yes, hopefully we can see what she is up to and if she is okay.," Joseph replied as he laid the camera down and summoned his stand. He slammed his hand down on the camera and broke it, the camera sputtered before spitting out a photograph.
He took the photograph from the camera and waited for the image to develeop. The others crowded around to see what was on the film. The image was of (y/n). She was perfectly fine, she looked to be sleeping somewhere comfortable. The group all sighed a collective breath of relief. Jotaro looked at the photograph, "There is someone in the frame. No, more than one person in the frame with her." Jotaro took a piece of paper and a pen, he sketched out what he saw in the photo with Star Platinum, same as he did when he found the fly. The face of a woman looked back at the group, Joseph took the picture. "Oh my god. She looks like my mother, how is this possible?", the old man asked. "Don't know. I saw a few others, but I could not see their faces, they had their backs turned.," Jotaro said, "But it seems like we have a few mysteries to solve along with beating a bastard's ass."
