Chapter forty eight: A time for peace.

(Y/n) was returned to the Washington DC Speedwagon foundation for treatment. She got the call from Egypt that Avdol and Iggy survived. From Japan, she got a call from Holly, her stepsister was feeling better and Jotaro had returned to Japan. The little girl was relieved about the news. She got a call from Polnareff, telling her that he was back home and welcoming her to come visit.
She was finally healed after a few days. She had her doll returned to her from the Tokyo headquarters after they retrieved Kakyoin and brought him back to Japan. She decided that she wanted to go traveling, but she needed to stay for a few days with her adopted mama and papa. It was nice to sleep in her bed again and to be pampered by her adopted mama. Mama Suzie always wanted to dress her up in adorable outfits since she was so small and would stay small for so long. (Y/n) did not mind as this was the only mother figure she knew. Thankfully the butler, Rosas, would step in if Suzie was getting a little too carried away. She was very energetic for an elderly lady.

Suzie was brushing the little girl's wavy plum hair when the little girl spoke up, "I'd like to go travelling in Europe. Go see Caesar in Italy and visit Iggy and Polnareff in France." The blonde woman stopped brushing her hair, "You're leaving so soon? And you still have to recover from all of that trauma." "Mama, all my injuries are healed. I am fine, I want to go see our old friend again.," the little girl said, "Plus, there are answers I need. I feel that Italy may have them. And if not, then somewhere else."
Suzie put down the brush, "Oh, it would be good to go back to Italy and see the sights again. Perhaps go back to Air Supplina island. It has been fifty years." "You could... come with me. You can see Caesar again.," the little girl said and she could hear a small sigh from the butler, "Or not.." "We should tell papa Joseph before you go, though, oh! And you'll need to pack some nice clothes to wear.," Suzie said cheerily as Rosas was starting to put together a small luggage bag for the little girl.

Suzie placed the brush down and get the little girl hop off the stool she was sitting on. The little flowery dress she wore was accented by flower accessories placed in her plum hair and on her horns. (Y/n) knew she would have to call ahead to Caesar and Polnareff before she visited them to let them know she was coming. Then she would have to go visit Holly and Jotaro. The plum hair pillar child walked to Joseph's office. His real estate business had made him wealthy, yet he was also kind of busy as a result. But, he tried to be as good as a father as he could be to his two daughters.
(Y/n) peeked in and saw he was doing some paperwork, perhaps catching up on what he missed in their fifty day excursion to save Holly. The girl knocked softly on the door, "Jojo?" Joseph's green eyes looked up from his paperwork and he smiled at his adopted daughter, "Don't you look cute again today, (y/n), Suzie has been wanting to see you in that dress for a while now. Come in, I'm just finishing up some papers." The little pillar girl walked in and hopped onto his back as lightly as possible to not hurt him.

Joseph seemed to be happy, "Is there anything you need?" "Not really. I wanted to tell you that I am going again. I'm going to head to Italy to look for some answers and see Caesar, then head to France to meet with Polnareff and Iggy.," (y/n) answered, "I just wanted to let you know so you would know where I was." "You're leaving so soon?," Joseph inquired as he put the papers away, "What kind of answers are you looking for?" "After what happened in Cairo, I learned something. There are ghosts of fallen people who are following me, I want to learn who they are and what they want.," the girl said, "And I'm being pulled to Italy for those answers. Might as well go see Caesar and Polnareff if I am in Europe, right?"
The old man seemed conflicted. They had already had a heard battle with DIO. Polnareff had to get Prosthetics after the fight, as did Avdol and Iggy. Kakyoin was in a coma and also received a prosthetic spine. He was not that willing to let his adopted daughter go again, not after all that happened. He now knew how Kars felt, he wanted to protect his daughter from any danger that may arise. But, he also knew that he would not be able to stop her if her heart was set on it. He looked to the calender on his desk, "Well, I had to go to Italy anyway for a business trip. We can go together. But, we should call Caesar first."

Italy.

Joseph had (y/n) on his shoulder while Suzie and Rosas walked beside them through the airport. The little girl was using her horn to search for the familiar Italian. From the crowds came the familiar feeling of hamon, the small pillar tapped on Joseph's head and pointed him in the direction of the hamon.
There on a bench was a familiar blond man wearing a checkered tophat. A scarf was draped around his shoulders and he was sporting a causal but nice outfit. A smile was on his face as his green eyes was scanning the ocean of people. "Caesar!," the little girl called and the man looked over to them. Caesar got up and walked over, "Ciao, it has been a long time, Jojo." "It's been too long, Caesar.," Joseph said as the two shook hands, "You don't look a day over twenty-five. That little mustache fits you." Caesar chuckled while Suzie greeted him as well. It was a reunion of old friends.

Caesar brought them to his large home, "So, how long will you be staying for? I was hoping to catch up and spar a little like we did in the old days." "I hate to say that I won't be able to do much sparring, I'm still recovering from the last battle we fought.," Joseph said as Rosas was keeping Suzie occupied, "It was DIO. We barely made it our alive with everyone. Three came close to dying. I did die but was brought back." (Y/n) got off of Joseph and settled on Ceasar's shoulder as the two talked.
"Is that why you went to Egypt? Did the others know Hamon?," the Italian asked. "No, they have a new power called a stand.," Joseph replied, "A stand is a physical manifestation of one's fighting spirit and soul. I have one. (Y/n) was given one by DIO." "I got really sick from it.," (y/n) added as the two older gentlemen listened before going back to talking. The older humans all talked and caught up. It was pretty fun but the little pillar was kind of antsy. She wanted to go explore, to find what she was looking for.

"(Y/n), is there a reason other than you wanted to visit?," Caesar asked, "You have been acting a lot more on edge than the other times you came." "I want answers. There's some things that have been bothering me and I want to know what they are. Like, what does 'Ivory' mean? I found the word engraved on my mother's headpiece that daddy made for her.," the little girl said, "What am I seeing? Who is this woman I am seeing in my visions?" The blond Italian looked at the child then sighed, "I think now is the best time to get that old scroll. Coach Lisa Lisa gave it to me, as well as access and partial ownership of the island."
The Italian got up and got an old roll of parchment from a box and unrolled it. Old lettering was on it, as well as some picture murals. "This was made by one of the few survivors of the hamon tribe's massacre.," Ceasar said, "It tells the story of the pillar men and of a human woman. Her name was Ivory." The blond lightly tapped the scroll, "I have not read it and I know Jojo is unable to read it. But, this is a story that I think you need to know."

The tiny pillar picked up the scroll and read it. It followed the same story that Wamuu told her, except there were more pieces of the puzzle. Her father and a human woman named Ivory met, yet her father spared the woman, coming back to talk to her since she had some wisdom, philosophy, knowledge and wit. The story continued on with that the woman and her father decided to try and see if they could restart his race. The hamon tribes became scared of the prospect of more powerful enemies and sought to end the experiment, by killing both mother and child. However, they ended up enraging the pillars by this.
The tribe failed to kill the child, but they killed the mother. As retaliation, The pillars killed all Hamon users they could find. The author wrote at the bottom that he lamented Ivory's death. There was a small handprint on the scroll. (Y/n) rolled it up and gave it back to Caesar. "That... actually answered most of my questions.," the little girl said and hugged the doll in her arms, "Ivory is my mother. I feel... Like a weight has been lifted off of me. So father gave me her Headpiece as a clue." The little girl smiled softly. "So, your mother has been following you around to protect you this whole time.," Joseph said, "She really saved all of us." From the corner of her eye, (y/n) saw the woman pass by the door. The child smiled a bit, "She did."

Caesar let them stay the night in his large home. He seemed grateful for the company. The next morning, Joseph had to go to a business meeting. He would meet up with them later for lunch. Caesar decided he would show the rest around. He took them on a tour through the city he lived in, showing them the most beautiful sights. (Y/n) held onto the long scarf he wore as she walked beside him. She was just happy to be out in the world with friends and family. Caesar showed them to a nice restaurant in Naples and let them order what they wanted. Joseph showed up later to join them.
It was a good day. Days without strife were always good days. But strife is what lets the good days be good. (Y/n) smiled as she thought this while she ate the squid ink pasta she ordered. She was glad she went to Italy. She got Caesar and Joseph back in touch and everyone was quite happy.  That made her happy. Deep in her heart, she wished her father could have been happy, happy and peaceful. Yet, with the circumstances, that would never be.

Tw days later, Joseph and Suzie went back home to America after saying goodbye to the little girl and Caesar. Caesar had to get to a set to work on yet another movie. So, it was time to go again. This time to France to see Polnareff and Iggy. The little girl said goodbye to Caesar. The two shared a hug before she left to france. She had to call Polnareff to learn where he and Iggy lived. Once she knew where they were, she quickly traveled there after the sun set. It was always easier to move in the dark. Plus, her stand power helped her to move even faster. Her mind could not help but to wander as she traveled, how were the kids she made friends with? Were they safe? Did that particular little boy with the familiar green eyes finally get the love he needed or did she need to step in? She landed and took off, using her strong legs to jump and her stand power to glide.
She set down in Polnareff's hometown as the sun came up. (Y/n) wondered if he was asleep or awake. Her horns sensed around for the energies of living creatures nearby as she walked up to the house that she knew was Polnareff's. She knocked on the door and heard familiar barking. Iggy!

"Iggy! What are you doing?! It's early!," She heard Polnareff speak to the dog as Iggy barked at the door. The door opened and Polnareff looked left and right for whoever disturbed the dog, Iggy went past his legs and barked at the little girl standing in front of the Frenchman. Polnareff finally looked down and saw the tiny visitor. A smile grew on his face as he stepped aside, "Come on in. We've been expecting you."
The little girl picked up the dog sniffing at her feet and walked inside the home. It was warm and friendly in how it was made up and decorated. Polnareff's hair was not sticking up like it usually was, instead, It was laying down long on his head. (Y/n) hopped up onto the sofa and petted Iggy. The dog settled down and his little tail wagged. Polnareff was making himself some coffee, "Iggy has been getting used to his prosthetics, so have I. I guess we just need to practice with them to get better." The plum haired girl nodded, "Papa Joseph had to get used to his. It used to do weird things at the fingers when he got mad or anything. 'Clicky fingers' is what mama Suzie called it."
Polnareff gave a good natured laugh, "I've heard from Avdol, he's out of the hospital and is doing well. He went back to working his shop." "That's great. I'm happy for him.," the tiny plum haired pillar said as the solver haired Frenchman sat next to her.

Polnareff's face turned serious, "Have you heard anything about Kakyoin? I only got word that his body was recovered from the roof." "He's alive. But in a coma.," (y/n) replied, "They don't know how long he will be gone, or if he will be the same after he wakes. But he's alive. I owe it to my mom." "Your mother?", The Frenchman asked, "Isn't your mother long deceased?"
"Yes. But, she was with us the entire time we were journeying. She was the one who waved down a car to take Avdol and Iggy to the hospital. She told the Speedwagon foundation where to find us.," the little girl said, "Because she wanted to protect me and my friends, even long after her death. She has been following and protecting me." "Then that woman I saw in DIO's mansion was...," Polnareff stopped talking then took a sip of his coffee. His large arm went over the girl and pulled her into a side hug, "I'm glad we met. We had a lot of fun traveling together. Although I lost and Avenged my biological sister, I feel like a gained another family after traveling with all of you."

"I feel the same way. Pol pol.," (y/n) said with a smile, "I feel the same."
