chapter fifty-two: A family matter.

The girl left the Washington headquarters of the Speedwagon foundation in high spirits. She rocked back and forth and was humming while holding her little doll. The girl watched the scenery and noticed something, "Hey, you missed the turn to the Airport." The driver took a look back at her through the mirror, "We're not going to the airport right now. You're going to see Mr. Joestar, as Jotaro requested." (Y/n)'s cheeks puffed up in an annoyed pout, Jotaro made another request to keep her in America?! How dare he?! She was going to give him a kick the next time she saw him.
She was taken to the high rise building and was met by Rosas, the man gave her a polite bow. "Welcome back, miss (y/n).," the man said. The girl knew she had to be nice now. No need to give her adopted parents grief. She  bowed back to Rosas, "Thank you, Rosas." The butler took her to the penthouse where her adopted mama and papa were. Mama Suzie immediately greeted the little girl warmly, "(y/n)! Oh my dear, where have you been? Have you been traveling and seeing your friends again?"

"I have mama Suzie.," the little girl replied as Suzie squeezed her in a tight embrace, "I have been visiting friends and family. Everyone is doing well." "That's wonderful!," the sweet elderly woman cooed and continued to hug her adopted daughter. "I even went to see Josuke. He's a sweet boy, takes a lot after Jojo.," the plum haired girl said and heard a huff from the old woman holding her, "I don't like that Jojo cheated either, but the boy is not to blame. I wanted to kill him but I stopped myself from doing so."
The blonde woman gave a sigh, she was still angry at Joseph. (Y/n) did not blame her. Joseph betrayed her love and trust by cheating on her. There was no excuse for what he did. The fault was all his. Tomoko did not even know he was married. The plum haired girl held her porcelain doll tight. "Where is pa- Jojo?," the little girl asked. "He's in the office. Jotaro asked him for something.," Suzie answered, "I guess you want to speak to him?" "I have to tell him. Santana, the last other pillar is awake.," (y/n) spoke and she felt Suzie flinch.

Suzie Q remembered the pillar men, how could she forget? Esidisi possessed her. Their brains were linked for a time, allowing them to see each other's memories and knowledge. She knew all of their faces without ever meeting them. The old woman let the little girl go, "Isn't that dangerous? Letting Santana wander around?" "He agreed to follow me in a peaceful life with humans.," the little girl said, "My father is not around to lead, I'm the highest ranked one, so I must."
(Y/n) walked to the office and saw her adopted papa us in his stand on a television, trying to get a signal on something. "Jojo?," the little girl asked and the old man turned around. "Oh, (y/n), there you are. You've been away for a long time.," the old man said with a small smile, "Jotaro told me that you were in Japan." The plum haired girl walked over and hopped up onto his desk, "Santana is awake." These three words made Joseph freeze, he never destroyed Santana, "Where is he? Are the researchers okay?" "Santana is behaving for the researchers. He just wants to follow me now.," the little girl explained, "He is still following father's orders to protect me."

Joseph looked a little unsure as he continued to work on whatever he was doing. The little girl pulled at his tie, "Jojo. Are you going to go meet your son?" "Perhaps.," Joseph replied. The little girl sighed, "Did Jotaro ever go see Kakyoin?" "Yes, he went to see Kakyoin during the therapy to help him walk again and regain muscle.," the old man spoke, "He also finished school and is working for the Tokyo branch of the Speedwagon foundation." This made (y/n) happy, Kakyoin was doing better after Josuke healed him. Josuke was the answer to her wish to heal Kakyoin. She wondered if she wished for anything else, would it come true as well?
"I know you are mad at me as well for cheating. And I know that you are vengeful, but I am glad you did not kill Josuke.," Joseph said. "I actually tried to before I stopped myself. It was so easy to put my hands into his neck." "Did you put anything in him?," the old man asked and got a laugh from the little girl. "No. No. I don't have any poison rings left. I haven't gathered materials to make any more.," the girl laughed, "So he is safe." "Good.," the old man said with a small smile. The little girl held her doll as the old man continued to search for something with his stand, Hermit Purple.

"Have you spoken with Ceasar?," (y/n) asked and Joseph nodded. "I have. We have been speaking to each other frequently.," the old man spoke. The plum haired little girl hopped off of the desk, "I don't know why Jotaro wanted me to come here. I want to go back to Japan." "I think he wants you to come visit us. You have become more and more distant from us.," her adopted father spoke, "I wonder too why you are not wanting to come visit." "You should have been smart enough to figure that out sixty years ago, Jojo. Stupid old man!," the girl said angrily, "You of all people should know."
Her red eyes were lit up with years of supressed rage and sorrow, she did not let him speak as she ran out of the office. He should know. He killed them. The little girl just left the apartment without saying goodbye to either of her adopted parents. They would be gone. And she would have yet another part of her family gone. She already lost eight family members that she adored. The girl did not want to lose anyone else. She went to the airport on her own to go back to Japan.

She hated flying for several reasons. But, it was the only way for her to go to Japan without swimming there herself. She stayed quiet and traveled well. She was relieved to reach Japan. The Tokyo airport was a lot quieter at night. The little girl would make it to Morioh by the afternoon if she walked, she wanted to get there by morning. She wanted to accompany Josuke to school. She knew she had to use her stand's power in order to get there by morning.
Then she could drop in on Josuke. Literally! The girl walked out of the airport and used her strong legs to lift off into the skies. Her stand helped her to glide. She knew of its grand wings after experimenting with it. Those wings were helping her to glide. How she could glide with wings made of blades, she did not know. The cool night air blew through her long wavy plum hair. Her white chiton like dress waved in the wind. She flew over the Japanese countryside.

From over the horizon, she saw the sun rise. It was a beautiful sight. One that reminded her of the morning her father ascending and becoming the ultimate lifeform. She remembered how incredible her father was. He was so powerful and grand. The sun rose over the horizon, its golden and warm rays washed over the little girl's skin. Her horn felt the warmth of the sunlight and sensed she was getting closer to the city of Morioh. She could feel the energy had changed. Like there was a higher concentration of stand users there.
Stand users attract other stand users. If those stand users who are attracted are evil, then Morioh would be in grave danger. (Y/n) silently swore that she would protect innocent lives and rid the world of the evil stand users. She lifted off again. The blades of her stand's wings sang as they cut the air. She did not see her mother's ghost when she went to America. Where did her mother go?

(Y/n) set down in Morioh. The girl jumped onto a house to wait for Josuke to pass near her so she could land on him and give him a little scare. The large house she landed on looked old and like it was falling apart. The half pillar could sense some life forms inside the old walls. Her eyes stayed on the streets before she felt someone watching her. She felt an object flying towards her. Out of instinct, she called her stand's wings to defend her. The object bounced off of the bladed wings and fell to the ground.
The plum haired girl looked down to the ground below her. It was a golden arrow, similar to the one that pierced her in Egypt years ago. She saw a hand reach out of a window and grab the arrow. The hand disappeared into the house. So someone was there in the house, three someones. Her red eyes looked back to the window where she felt one of the lifeforms were, where the arrow was shot from. There was a young man looking back. "That was awfully rude, human.," the girl said before she returned to watching the streets.

She saw Josuke walking from his house. He was coming his hair as he was walking the girl jumped and glided to him with her stand. She landed on his shoulder and put her stand away. Josuke jumped after feeling something land on him, he relaxed after seeing his stepsister looking back at him. The girl hugged his neck as he squeezed her, "Welcome back! Jotaro told me that you went to America to have a checkup done." "Not only a checkup, the only other pillar woke up from his slumber. Santana is awake.!," the little girl grinned widely. "He did? That is cool!," the teen said and let his stepsister climb up onto his shoulder, "Your dress is pretty cute today."
"This is the one my father, Kars, made for me. It is the one I woke up in over one hundred years ago~," the girl said with chipper tone, "I would wear all of the jewelry that comes with it, but then I'd be too heavy for you to carry." Josuke pictured the image of her in her traditional jewelry, so much that she was covered in gold and gemstones. He made a laugh, "I think you'd be adorable though."

Plum hair blew in the morning breeze as Josuke walked to school. "You're looking pretty handsome this morning.," the little girl said with a smile. "You think so?," Josuke grinned. The little girl gave him a nod, "You look like your father did when he was younger." The little girl reached into her bag and dug out an old picture of Joseph, Suzie, Holly and her. She showed the picture to Josuke, "There he is. That baby in mama suzie's arms is our sister, Holly." The british-japaese teen looked at the picture, "He does look like me."
"This was a few years after he killed my uncles and defeated my father.," the little girl said and put the picture away. Josuke was quiet as he walked then spoke up again, "Jotaro told me a little about DIO the other day. He told me that DIO was a man that the Joestar line had been fighting for one hundred years before he was killed by Jotaro. I remembered that you and Kakyoin also talked about him. "
"He was my stepbrother alone with your great great grandfather, Jonathan Joestar.," the little girl said, "He was adopted by George Joestar like I was. I was their little sister. Even though I was much older than they. I loved them all." Josuke felt a tear fall onto his cheek as his stepsister shook slightly. Josuke reached up and touched her shoulder, "You still have happy memories, right? You can celebrate those."

She hugged Josuke's head and hair. He Continued to walk to school with the little girl on his shoulder and walked into the school with her still holding onto his back. (Y/n) held onto her stepbrother as he walked into the school and into his class with her on his shoulder. The plum haired child was set on the floor next to his desk as he sat down. Her little hand held his before she was shooed by her stepbrother, she had to go because class was starting. The rest of the class found it cute that this little girl was following her brother around.
She went outside and went back to the Higashikata household. The little girl knocked on the door since she could not reach the doorbell. She heard Tomoko yell to go away. "Tomoko!," the little girl called back, "I'm back." The door opened and the woman looked down to the child on her doorstep. Tomoko let the girl in, "My father recently died from a stroke, I have been doing the funeral planning and everything else."
The little girl looked at the house. She smelled an enemy, she knew that Ryohei was murdered by a stand user. The effect of the stand might have mimicked a stroke.

Tomoko was going through things as the little girl watched or helped her, "So how was your trip to the specialist for your condition? Josuke told me." "It was good. I even went to visit papa Joseph.," (y/n) said, "He's doing well, although he is showing his age." "I'm glad he is doing well.," the woman said with a small smile. The plum haired girl held the porcelain doll she loved so much. "I'm sorry for your loss, miss Tomoko.," the child said, "I understand how you feel. My uncles and father died before I was adopted by Papa Joseph. I never knew my mother since she died when I was born."
The woman rubbed the fluffy plum hair of the little girl, "Thank you. You are a sweet child." The little girl's red eyes closed as she smiled to the woman. She and Tomoko cleaned up the house before stopping to have a snack together.
