Chapter Fifty-three: Nijimura

Tomoko and the plum haired little girl worked a little while together. They cleaned the house up and neatly put away the items that belonged one to Ryohei. (Y/n) felt saddened by this sudden death, a reminder of how fragile humans were compared to her. The red eyed child looked outside then to the clock. It was almost time for Josuke's school to end. The child pulled at the arm of the woman lightly, "Can I go to the High school to get Josuke?," the little child asked the woman. Tomoko nodded, "Go ahead. I'm sure Josuke would like the company." (Y/n) gave a wide smile and left after putting on her little cloak, she ran through Morioh to get to the high school. It was almost time for school to end.
The little girl walked into the school and wandered the halls, using her nose to search for her stepbrother. She found his classroom and peeked through the window by jumping to look through. She saw her stepbrother's hair and his cool uniform. One of the female students in the back saw her.

(Y/n) used her stand to stay in the air a little bit longer. Josuke looked back after his classmate got his attention. His face lit up into a smile. The little plum haired girl stood by the girl and waited for the bell to ring. The door opened and some students were surprised by the little girl. She ran between their legs to her stepbrother. Her small arms wrapped around his leg as he was packing up his school bag. "Josuke! Ready to go home?," the little girl asked as he closed his bag. The classmates walked by and chuckled at the small child hugging onto Josuke's leg.
Josuke crouched down and patted her head, "Yes I am. How about we go find Koichi and walk home with him?" (Y/n) ran through her memories to remember who Koichi was, the silver haired boy. She smiled and nodded. The child followed her older brother around as they looked for Koichi. Her small hand held onto her brother's school uniform jacket as they walked together. She had to run a bit beside him to keep up, her little legs had smaller strides than her stepbrother.

They found Koichi in the library, he seemed to be studying something. "Ah, Koichi, you're studying even after school? Come on, let's walk home together, all three of us." Koichi looked back at Josuke, "Okay. Wait, what do you mean, three?" The British-Japanese teen motioned down to his leg, Koichi followed the motion and saw the little face of the plum haired girl looking out at him. The silver haired boy's expression changed a bit before he smiled, "Hello." (Y/n) held onto Josuke's trousers.
Koichi picked up his things and followed the two out of the school. "You have been gone for a few days. Where were you?," Koichi inquired. "I was in America, the Speedwagon foundation needed to do a physical on me again.," the little girl responded, "It was okay. But it got better after Santana got out of containment." "Who is Santana?," the silver haired boy asked as (y/n) ran a bit to catch up with them. The little girl smiled, "He's the only one of my father's species left. I am only half, Santana is a full blooded pillar man."
"Pillar man, that's your race? Sounds impressive.," Josuke said. "He is. He's a bit taller than you and Jotaro, way more muscular.," the little girl said, "And he has features that many people would kill for. He and the others were so handsome."

"Do you think we could meet him one day?," Koichi asked. (Y/n) nodded, "Yep! Although, you might want to keep the fact you are Joseph's son a secret, Josuke. He's still mad at papa for sending him back into hibernation and killing the others." "A grudge huh? I'll keep that in mind.," Josuke said as he stopped and let the little girl hop up onto his shoulder. They kept walking and passed a strange rock that had the energy of a living thing in it. "Yo, Angelo.," Josuke greeted the rock. "Was this rock always here?," Koichi asked. "Yeah, but it only recently started looking like this.," the violet-blue eyed teen replied. "It is alive.," the little pillar on his shoulder commented. "Oh? It is? Yo, Angelo.," Koichi said as he followed Josuke.
(Y/n) could have sworn she heard a small groan from the stone. Josuke and Koichi kept walking. They were walking past the old large house that (y/n) was perched on that morning. She still sensed people inside. "Does someone live here?," Koichi asked Josuke suddenly. "Not that I know of. This old place is so run down that I have a hard time believing anyone would want to live here.," the pompadored teen replied, "Realtors come every so often to check for squatters, but that is it."

"Did someone move in? I thought I saw someone in the window up there.," Koichi said and looked up to a third story window. "I would have seen something. My house is just over there.," Josuke said and pointed to his home. (Y/n) was quiet as she was using her horns to search the property. She could feel some people in there. "Do you think it was a ghost?," Koichi asked. Josuke got a little nervous, "Hey, don't stay things like that. Ghosts are scary and we are in front of my house." "Ghosts are real, Josuke. My mommy follows me around as a ghost.," the little plum haired pillar said and hopped up onto the gate of the house. Koichi stuck his head in the gate door.
The plum haired girl caught the energy of a human beside the gate, "Koichi, move now!" Her call came too late as the human beside the gate slammed the gate shut on Koichi's neck. "Stop gawking at my house you brats.," a rough voice said. The voice belonged to a teenager with a money motifed school uniform and a scar on his face. The little girl felt a stand with an incredible power coming from the teenager. The teen increased the pressure on Koichi's neck. Josuke yelled at the other teen to stop. This enemy did not stop. Josuke was trying to talk the teen down when an arrow flew from inside the house. It was the same kind of arrow that hit (y/n) years ago. She looked up and saw the human from that morning.

The human from before was trying to make Koichi a stand user with the arrow. He explained that he shot the arrow because Josuke was the one to defeat someone named Angelo. Angelo... the same name as the stone they passed. The teen with the money motif on his uniform looked a little excited. His stand was called out. "Josuke Higashikata! I, Okuyasu Nijimura, will make you disappear with my stand, The Hand.," the teen announced. The hand looked sort of like a sports player, yet it had the same money motif its user did. The little girl watched as this guy, Okuyasu, stepped out of the gate towards Josuke.
Koichi's body fell to the ground. The plum haired pillar child noted that she was being disregarded again. Good thing. She could decapitate this guy with her stand's power effortlessly. But something about his stand energy told her to hang back. She felt eyes from the one above boring into her. She jumped down from the perch she was on and went to Koichi. He was losing blood fast. But she had experience with situations such as these. She gathered as much blood up from the surrounding area as possible and filtered it through her body quickly. She reached into Koichi and gave him his blood back. She was going to act as another heart for him to keep him alive for as long as possible.

She heard a weird warble sound and looked up to see Josuke be pulled towards Okuyasu. Their fight had started. (Y/n) was right. Okuyasu had a terrifying stand. Only, he was too much of an idiot to use it to the fullest extent. Their battle raged on. The little girl continued to filter Koichi's blood and prolong his life as much as possible. She was not able to close the wound with her flesh meld ability with the arrow in his throat. But that would only be part of the battle. The test would be the illness that came with it.
She could barely function with having it for one day and she had an advantage by being half pillar. An illness that powerful would be a death sentence to many humans. She felt a human come up behind her and Koichi. She felt a hard knock to her head. Her forehead and horns hit Koichi, the impact stunned the pillar. Both of them were dragged into the house. Her hands were removed from Koichi's body and she was thrown aside in the hallway. Josuke came into the house and was infuriated at the man, the elder Nijimura brother, Keicho. For hurting Koichi and (y/n). Nobody was going to get away with hurting his friend and stepsister. Okuyasu followed Josuke inside just as Keicho attacked, The younger Nijimura fell victim to the elder's stand. Josuke could not see he stand Inside the darkness of the house. The onslaught was merciless. It was all Josuke could do to get away from the attacking stand.

Keicho looked down to the stunned little girl and the teen with the arrow in his neck. The blond removed the arrow from the silver haired boy and looked at the two, he knew that Josuke would not abandon these two. He picked the girl up under his arm and dragged the silver haired boy by his foot deeper into the house. A trail of blood followed them. Nobody would get in the way of his goal. No matter who they may be. He took the two upstairs to act as bait for Josuke. He placed both in a room. And hid in the darkness to wait for his quarry.
(Y/n) was stirring from her stun. She was a little disoriented from being outside then suddenly inside. The small bit of damage done to her horns was quickly healed, the glowing crack disappeared. Her red eyes saw Koichi's body slide away from her and towards Josuke, who was at the door to the room she was in. She reached towards him, "Josuke." The teen healed Koichi and looked to his stepsister, "(y/n), come to me." The little girl staggered a bit but got up as Koichi came to and asked Josuke what was happening.

She felt a stand presence and looked to the ceiling. Something small and fast moved by. She could feel stand energy. Josuke called her to come closer to him. She got up and ran to his legs. Her small hands clung to his uniform pants as the stand came out of hiding to attack. They looked like toy soldiers, wrapped in bandages with little military uniforms and working weapons. The tiny weapons did actual damage to Josuke when he attacked them with his stand, Crazy Diamond. The plum haired girl was hit with a few rounds as well and healed quickly.
Okuyasu was downstairs, Keicho was on the same floor as they. Yet there was one more. The little pillar could sense someone else there. The girl wanted to know who it was. The toy soldiers approached, ready to attack upon their user's orders. (Y/n) knew she would survive. But, Josuke and Koichi would surely die.

"Josuke, what are those things?," Koichi asked. "Don't ask questions.," Josuke said and picked up both of the smaller beings before running. The door that he went through and closed behind them was blown apart by the stand. "I knew it, their weapons would would blow apart our limbs if they hit us head on!," Josuke said. (Y/n) clung to Koichi, not for her own comfort, but to shield him and Josuke with her stand if the time came to do so. The teen looked around and saw boarded up windows, "How lucky! Windows! Koichi, (y/n). We're on the second floor, we need to bust those windows open and dive out."
"Not so fast! There is another part of his stand guarding the windows!," (y/n) said and pulled her stepbrother back, "They look like helicopters." "American apache helicopters to be specific.," Josuke said and stepped back to Koichi and (y/n). The silver haired boy looked to the side, "They have tanks!" Josuke sent out his Crazy Diamond to deflect all of the projectiles flying at them. The two teens were pulled in close by the little girl as bladed wings surrounded them and protected them from a sudden blast. (Y/n)'s arms were bruised a little, but that healed up quickly. "I'm going to need to feed on something after this...," the little girl hissed and showed her sharp teeth.

"You're right Koichi.," Josuke said as the shining blade wings faded away from around them, "They had tanks." He stopped for a second. "Koichi! You can see them?!" "Yeah. I can see the soldiers, tanks, helicopters, the pink guy and those wings that protected us.," the silver haired teen said. "Josuke. The arrow is like the one I got hit with eleven years ago. The arrow my brother had in Egypt pierced my heart and I fell Ill before waking up with my stand that refuses to manifest itself.," the girl explained, "This has to be another arrow. The arrow is the reason there is such a high concentration of stand users in this city. I was drawn here by the power concentration and by you."
"Oh? So the little girl and the shrimp have stands. Too bad you cannot manifest more than just those pretty wings, little girl.," the man said.  "So, you are Okuyasu's older brother.," Josuke saod before throwing a pair of nails at the blond man before them. The stand blew the nails away before it reached the man. "My stand, Bad Company, has an unbreakable defense.," the man bragged, "It's an army that won't let any intruder leave alive. I know that you want to defeat me, but I must tell you that your Crazy Diamond's attacks will never reach me."

"Pride and ego causes downfall, human.," the little girl said. "Perhaps, but not now. Look, see the perfection of my army's beautiful formation.," the blond man said with much pride, "It feels so good when they are so beautifully together. I am a bit pissed off though, their formation is not perfect anymore since you killed a few, Josuke!" "You sure are methodical,  did you come out just to explain that?," Josuke asked. "You want to know what my and Koichi's stands are, don't you?," (y/n) inquired from the blond.
The blond gave a malicious smile, "Right on the nose, girl. I want to observe you and the brat beside you. You have stands that I have yet to see and know the power of." "But for what purpose?," the girl asked, "I know humans, and you have a goal other than pure curiosity." "Correct again. I am searching for a particular ability, I will let you live if either of you have it.," the Man said, "So come on. Bring out your stands. Show me what you are capable of."

'It has to do with the person in the next floor I bet.,' the little girl thought to herself, 'But why is he looking for a particular power?' The little girl's red eyes looked up to her stepbrother as he stepped in front of the two. "Just what the hell are you after?," Josuke asked. "Shut up! You are in no position to talk Josuke! My decision to kill you has not changed at all!," the blond yelled. (Y/n) looked to Koichi. He had to be scared and confused. She was getting tired of this. She wanted to take her brother and his friend home.
(Y/n) did not see any of her spectres following her. Where had they gone? If they had followed her, she would have been able to make a distraction to attack this threat directly. Her red eyes looked out from under the hood of her cloak. The blond man pointed to Koichi again, "You! Pull out your stand!" Koichi did not understand what he wanted. The older Nijimura brother must have realized that it was the first time for Koichi to pull out his stand. He ordered Josuke to summon his stand to show Koichi how it was done, "Your Crazy Diamond's range is about a meter. If the shrimp over there has a stand that cam compensate for that, then you may be able to survive my Bad Company! I doubt that the girl can do anything with a defensive stand like hers."

(Y/n) knew she got him. He thought her stand was a defense stand. Not a good idea to underestimate a pillar. She was still more curious about the one who dwelled on the floor above them. Her horn was still sensing his presence. Human. Male. Probably forties. She could smell her brother's scent, Dio's scent in the air. There was a minion here. The blond, Keicho, Attacked both the girl and Koichi after they were being too slow with drawing out their stands.
He was able to shoot one round into Koichi with his attack, (y/n) took most of hit for him. Both of them summoning their stands at once. Koichi's was an egg. The little girl was able to shield the boy and his Eggy stand before she made a swipe motion with her hand and sliced through the small stand nearest to her easily. Keicho laughed at her mockingly before the soldiers fell to the floor, bisected cleanly. His face fell after seeing that one motion. She grabbed Koichi and jumped with him in her arms out of the way of the next attack where Josuke used his Crazy Diamond to deflect a lot of projectiles.

Keicho no longer was paying attention to the two smaller beings. He was focused on killing Josuke. (Y/n) placed Koichi down and looked to see where Josuke was. Keicho was very determined in his planning to kill Josuke. Koichi wanted to help, he was stopped by Keicho looking back at him. The deep green eyes bore into his soul. Koichi was flung back by a punch, (y/n) caught him. The girl leaned in close, "Koichi, I sense there is something here, I'm going to check it out." Her voice was very soft and she moved quietly out of the room.
The older Nijimura was so focused on fighting that he did not see the little girl leave and go up the stairs. The scent of her deceased brother was stronger. She smelled a fleshbud and the host. The girl heard the battle sounds coming from downstairs. Whatever the two brothers were hiding, whatever they needed the stands for, they had to have it up there. The girl smelled a living creature. It smelled human yet... was not. She followed the scent to a room filled with trash and a trunk of items. The stand arrow and the now were displayed on the wall. There was something there chained to the wall. Her small hand opened the door slowly. A mass of flesh in the corner of the room came rushing towards her and grabbed her wrist. Instead of fighting it, she placed her tiny hands on the greenish lumpy flesh, allowing her skin to fade into fhe flesh of this thing. This thing smelled human. This thing looked not human. This thing was once human. This thing was a victim of her brother.

The plum haired girl pulled her hands from the creature's after a bit. She took off her hood to have better perception in the darkness. The creature wandered away and she followed it into the room. She sensed Koichi and Josuke approaching. She walked in and watched the blobbish creature scrounge around. This was no life for anything to live. The little girl reached her hand out and touched the bulbous head that had some scraggly hair intermittently growing from the lumps. The creature made a small noise after feeling the hand of the girl touching his head. He grabbed her hand and seemed to study the small fingers. His droopy eyes looked sad as he looked at her face.
He lost interest as they heard Josuke and Koichi near. The two teens saw the stand arrow on the wall and was deciding how to get it. The creature increased the agitated gurgles and growls. He seemed kind of upset. When Koichi kicked the door open, he grabbed the boy's leg. Josuke used Crazy Diamond to chop the hand of the creature off. The hand grew back however. (Y/n) felt a stand power from this creature. This sad former human who lost his humanity.

(Y/n) watched as the former human walked into the light and grabbed his severed hand to eat in a ferocious manner. The appearance of this man caused Josuke and Koichi to flinch. "What the hell is that?!," Josuke asked, "I can't believe it has been living near my house." The plum haired girl walked to the side of fhe former human and patted him again as he finished his meal. Keicho limped in, bloodied from his battle with Josuke, "So you saw what you weren't supposed to..."
Josuke was immediately on guard as the blond panted and limped into the room, "This thing is our dad. My dad needs the bow and arrow. I have to find a stand user for my dad's sake. That is why I cannot let anyone else have the bow and arrow or destroy them." (Y/n) continued to pat the Nijimura father. Harmlessly sat and let her do so. "Is he sick with some disease?," Josuke inquired. "No.," Keicho replied, "It is not a disease. He's perfectly healthy and he has a big appetite. But he keeps moaning and does not recognize me as his son."

"Are you looking for a stand user to fix your dad?," Josuke asked. "Fix? No. I am looking for someone to kill him.," the blond had tears coming from his eyes as he spoke, "He won't die, no matter what happens. Smash his head, dismember him, grind him to paste, nothing works! I want him to die normally. Even as a kind I wanted that to happen. If not, then he'll probably suffer like this forever."
"And all of this happened because of my brother.," the plum haired girl spoke and got the attention of the blond man, "I can sense the flesh bud of my stepbrother, Dio, inside of him. I can remove some of it, if you want to see the thing behind all of this, that is." Keicho's dark green eyes widened a bit as her hands went into the head of his father. From around her arm erupted angry tentacles. The tentacles grabbed and coiled around her in such great ferocity. "They sense me, even though Dio and his host body was killed eleven years ago.," (y/n) said calmly as she pulled the bud out and broke the needle part before throwing it into the sunlight.

She held the thing up to show the teens. Koichi and Josuke gagged as she bit into the bud and ate it. "My brother, Dio, was a scoundrel. He was charming, even as a child. But he had a darkness.," the little girl said, "A pride and hunger for power that consumed him and caused him to throw away his humanity. By means of my mask. I will apologize for for your father's condition. For it is my fault indirectly. " Keicho was understandably angry, yet he kept himself pretty calm as he told them the history of the Nijimura family and their father's deal with DIO.
The eldest Nijimura recounted how his father was a loser. He would hit Keicho and Okuyasu after their mother died and the business failed. He only turned around a bit after he met Dio and became a lackey. But that all came crashing down immediately after Jotaro killed DIO. The girl felt bad for him and his family. But what could she do? The fleshbud had fused with this man, turning him monstrous. She could eat him completely.

What could she do?

She saw Keicho kick his father viciously as the former human was scrounging around in the old trunk. He seemed to be looking for something. It was heartbreaking. Josuke charged forward. He was not going for the bow and arrow like Keicho thought he was. He was aiming for the trunk. (Y/n) watched as the trunk and the objects inside of it were repaired thanks to her stepbrother's stand. Inside the trunk was a picture of the Nijimura brothers as kids, along with their mother and their father when he was human. The little pillar understood as she heard the former human cry, "He had not forgotten you. His brain was so badly damaged by Dio's fleshbud that he had a hard time recognising you. He's still in there. He still loves you and Okuyasu."
Keicho's eyes looked to the crying blob then to Josuke. Josuke was rubbing his head, "You know, I am willing to help you find a cure for him. But, i need you to hand over the bow and arrow first. We need to get rid of them." Keicho stepped back. He was unwilling to give up the bow and arrow. "I know you are trying to find a way to help your father, but you have not seen what letting the wring kind of people have stands can do.," the pillar girl said, "I have, eleven years ago. And Dio nearly took over with his stand, The World. A stand that could stop time. I don't want another stand like that to appear again."

Keicho was still hesitant. His brother, Okuyasu, came in. He had been listening to everything. "Bro. Please. Let's stop this. We can find a cure right? Even I his body cannot go back to normal, we can at least get his mind back?," the scarred teen asked. This caused the two brothers to get into an argument. Keicho said that he could not go back, not after he killed so many people. He was willing to kill Okuyasu as well.
During this argument, (y/n) sensed a new presence. She looked up to the skylight and saw someone there. She sensed a stand. She knew he saw her red eyes looking up at him. He had shadows over his face but she could see he had purple hair. A color more blueish in tint than her more violet-reddish tint. Josuke must have seen him as well. He asked the Nijimuras if they had any other relatives. Okuyasu replied that the three of them were the only ones.

From the electrical socket came a stand. He wanted the arrow. The stand pulled Keicho into the socket with him, killing him by electrocution. (Y/n) stayed with Koichi and The Nijimura father as Josuke and Okuyasu gave chase. They were unable to find the stand and now someone else had the power of the stand arrow...
