Chapter Fifty-four: friends return.
Josuke woke up with a small weight on his chest. He was surprised that he was not being woke up by his little stepsister. Instead, she was fast asleep on his chest. Her small soft cheek was squished up on his chest. Josuke sat up slowly so she would not fall off of him. His little stepsister was very cute as she was sleeping on his chest. (Y/n) made some soft sleepy sounds as she clung to Josuke. Her little face nuzzled into his chest, "Jojo..."
The teen knew she had to be dreaming about the Joestars she met and lived with in the past. He placed her down on his bed and got ready for school, it seemed like she needed this nap. He got ready and felt a small body cling to his leg, "Josuke." Her voice was still sleepy.
The British-Japanese teen smiled down at the sleepy half pillar, "Good morning, (y/n). Did you get sleepy last night?" The little child rubbed her eyes and nodded. Josuke smiled and rubbed her soft plum violet hair. "Yesh I did.," the little girl replied and held onto his hand, "Are you getting ready for school?" "Yes. I think you should stay home today instead of coming with me this time, you look like you need some sleep.," The teen said with a kind smile. He got a sleepy little smile from his stepsister who yawned and walked wobbly to the kitchen where Tomoko was.
The little girl held onto the doorframe and greeted the woman with a wave. "Good morning, (y/n). Are you feeling sleepy again?," Tomoko asked and got a nod, "Well you can take a rest, you may still be jet lagged." The girl wandered to the couch and hopped up onto it. She yawned again. It had been a day or so since she, Koichi and Josuke met the Nijimura family. She was reaching the end of her awake period, she would need to sleep soon. Until then, she would be okay to explore. She would just have to find a safe place to sleep when she reaches the end of her time to be awake.
She heard the sound of the doorbell and went to the door to answer it. It was that guy from the Nijimura house, Okuyasu. (Y/n) looked back as Josuke walked up, "What are you doing here?" "Going to walk to school with you. Did you know your house is like right in front of mine?," Okuyasu said cheerfully. He was really dense. The plum haired pillar girl yawned and wandered out of the door with her doll in her arms. She heard Josuke call out to her, "Be careful!"
(Y/n) gave him a sleepy smile before walking off. She was going to walk around and explore until she could not anymore. Her porcelain doll was held snugly in her arms as she wandered through the residential area and into the business district. Her small legs stumbled a few times, but she got up and kept moving and exploring.
Where she was going, she did not know. But she was just happy to wander safely. She passed by a corner convenience store. There was an alley between the convenience store and the next shop. Some sort of mysterious power seemed to be coming from that Alley. (Y/n) figured that it would be too dangerous to explore with how tired she was and left it for another day, although she could have sworn she heard a woman call her name. The small pillar continued on and saw Jotaro sitting at a cafe, he seemed to be waiting for someone. The plum haired child walked up to him and looked up to him with big red eyes, Jotaro looked down at her with his sea green eyes.
"(Y/n). You came at the right time.," the man said and motioned to the seat beside him, "Sit down so we can talk." The little girl climbed up onto the seat next to him and sat on her knees so she could look over the table. Jotaro took a sip of his coffee, "The Speedwagon foundation told me what happened in the DC headquarters. I hope you have the situation handled." "Santana's goal is to follow the orders left for him by my father. The last orders were to protect me.," the little girl said, "I added on those orders to help him with living in this new age."
Jotaro looked down at the girl before taking another sip of the coffee, "Santana will come to Japan after the foundation finishes the protection devices they developed for him. I also wanted you here because some old friends of ours will be joining us." The plum haired girl gave him a tired nod. "So it is almost time for you to sleep? That is unfortunate.," the man said with a sigh. (Y/n) made a small smile and a giggle, "Can't help it. It's part of my biology." The sea green eyed man shook his head and took another drink of coffee.
The scampering of small paws and some barking made the plum haired girl look away from the table. A small black and white dog was running towards her and Jotaro. Her sleepy mind pushed back how tired she was after she saw the small animal. The girl got off of the chair she was on and knelt as the dog stopped in front of her with his little tail wagging. He had grey hair around his muzzle and eyes. The dog placed a little metal paw on her knee and wagged more.
"Iggy, it is good to see you again.," the girl said with a smile as the dog gave a bark back, "I don't have any coffee gum, but I could go buy some." Iggy panted with a doggy grin on his face. "I wondered where he ran off to.," came a familiar voice from behind the girl and the dog. (Y/n) looked behind her and saw a dull red-orange robe. She followed it up to a dark skinned face and familiar brown eyes. "Avdol!," the little girl said and got up from her kneeling position. Avdol was in Morioh. He had prosthetic arms like Iggy had a prosthetic paw.
She felt another energy and saw a familiar redhead slowly walking up in leg braces. "Kakyoin!," the little girl said happily, "You are here!" The small pillar hugged the legs of the redhead before she hugged the legs of the Egyptian man. Her red eyes looked around Excitedly, "Where's Jean? Is Pol Pol here?" Avdol made a small chuckle as he sat down, "Polnareff is in Italy, he is investigating some occurrences there."
(Y/n)'s face fell a bit. There would not be a reunion today. Kakyoin has also sat at the cafe table, taking the seat that (y/n) had been using. Iggy sat on the ground next to Avdol and lifted his paw up. Avdol gave him some coffee gum. The little girl walked to the free chair and hopped up onto it, "So, why are you two here?" "We are here because we are part of the Speedwagon foundation. We are here to see Jotaro, but I am glad we got to see you again.," Kakyoin responded, "How is Josuke?" "Josuke is doing very well. He is a Joestar after all.," the little girl responded, "Jotaro, how is Jolyne? Is she still as adorable and huggable as she was as a baby?"
Jotaro did not respond as he pulled some pictures out. "There is an increased presence of stands and stand users in this city. I only know that a few are friendly, the rest are unaccounted for.," Jotaro explained. "Hm. Sounds like the same situation in Egypt eleven years ago. DIO somehow gathered a small army of stand users to throw at us.," Avdol said. Jotaro's sea green eyes nodded, "Polnareff and I found the answer to that when we investigated DIO's mansion and a journal he kept. It was an arrow that created stands."
"A stand creating arrow?," Avdol asked and Jotaro slid a picture of Enyaba holding and arrow to the Egyptian. It was the same arrow that gave (y/n) her stand. Her unnamed stand. She had not even seen its face yet. "Polnareff said that he found traces of more of them in Italy.," Jotaro said, "He's tracking them down. We're trying to find the arrow that is here in Morioh." The plum haired girl listened to the men talk over drinks. The conversations were mostly about what they have been up to. The pillar girl sipped on the drink that Jotaro ordered for her. Avdol kept doing his fortune telling business as well as becoming a consultant for the Speedwagon foundation. Kakyoin became a full member of the Speedwagon foundation's special supernatural and Joestar helper task force.
She was pretty happy to see her old friends again. "Say, (y/n).," Avdol spoke, "I heard that Santana has woken up. Is that true?" "It is!," the little girl replied with a grin, "He agreed to live a more peaceful life since we have no real reason to want to harm anyone. And because we're the last ones, might as well make the time as good as it can be. He told me that he would be happy to meet you." Kakyoin smiled, "I'm glad. But, could you show me around? I'm thinking of staying here for a while." The girl nodded in agreement, "Sure will. This place has so many cool things. I met a lot of interesting people. I recentlt found one of Dio's former followers lives here with his son, but he was completely consumed by the fleshbud..."
"The Nijimura father? Josuke called me about that.," Jotaro said, "I wanted to take a look myself." "Josuke? Is that the young man who is mister Joestar's son?," Avdol inquired. "Yes. He's a really sweet boy. He reminds me a lot of both Joseph and Jonathan.," the little pillar girl said with a smile, "He has the gentleness and Politeness of Jonathan, but the mischief and sharp wit of Joseph." Both Kakyoin and Avdol smiled. "You would know better than us.," the Egyptian man said. Kakyoin finished his drink, "(y/n), how about we go walk together now? Iggy can come with us."
The little girl got up after they paid for their drinks, she hopped down onto the sidewalk, ready to show Kakyoin around. "Kakyoin.," Jotaro called to get the redhead's attention, "Don't go too far. She's going to need to go to bed soon, it's time for her to sleep again." "I'll keep that in mind, Jojo.," Kakyoin said and felt a small hand take his own. The two walked away together. Avdol and Jotaro continued to talk together as they walked away.
(y/n) showed Kakyoin around while Iggy followed. The violet eyed man looked around and listened to his childhood friend talk about the area. Her tiny hand fit in his large one. He did not wear a school uniform anymore, but he did have a coat that had the Speedwagon foundation logo on it along with some cherry themed accessories. He still had his cute cherry earrings and wore red tinted sunglasses over his scarred eyes.
The two got to the convenience store. (Y/n) stopped in front of the alley. She saw something move in there. What it was, she did not know. She heard voices faintly talking in there. Kakyoin had to nudge her, "Is there something wrong?" Her red eyes snapped from the Alley to Kakyoin's face. The red haired man pulled the hood of her cloak over her head, "You spaced out there. Is there something interesting inside the alley?" "No. Not that I know of.," the girl said and continued walking with the red haired man, "But, this town has a lot of interesting people."
The girl heard someone calling her name and looked ahead to see Tomoko walking up, "Hello there (y/n). Is this a new friend of yours?" "Hello Tomoko. This is Kakyoin, he is an old friend of mine. I am showing him around.," the little girl said, "Kakyoin, this is Tomoko Higashikata, Josuke's mother." Kakyoin gave the woman a kind smile, "Pleased to meet you, I'm friends with Jotaro, Joseph and (y/n)."
"Nice to meet you as well, (y/n) and Josuke told me you woke from your coma. I hope you are feeling better.," Tomoko said with a kind smile. Kakyoin gave her a small nod, "I am, thank you. It is thanks to (y/n), Josuke and the doctors who were treating me." "Thank goodness. What brings you to Morioh?," Tomoko asked as she looked down to the dog and little girl at her feet. "Business.," the red haired man said as Tomoko knelt down to see the dog, "This is Iggy. He belongs to another friend of ours. We're looking after him."
Tomoko let Iggy smell her and the dog barked at her before giving a wag. The woman giggled and stood, "Have fun, you two. Also, I want you home before nightfall, (y/n). You need to get some sleep."
(Y/n) and Kakyoin walked around the town. The little girl showed him the sights and the Angelo rock before showing him the Nijimura house where Okuyasu's father was. The redhead was quite interested in everything, but he noticed the little girl was slowing down. She finally was nodding off when they met up with Josuke, Koichi and Okuyasu. Josuke was ready to take his stepsister home after meeting amd talking to Kakyoin and Iggy for a bit.
