chapter fifty-eight: Bubble man

Iggy was napping in the sunshine while (y/n) was looking into the one of the tide pools on the beach. She picked up a starfish to look at the little legs and the wriggling body. The girl placed the starfish back into the water before looking at the seaweed. Her little toes dug into the sand as she looked at the wildlife and the water. It was a nice seashore. The child looked to the dock to see the fishermen returning with their catches. It was a pretty morning.
The plum haired pillar child heard her name being called, she looked up to the sidewalk. Avdol was standing on the sidewalk with a suitcase. The Child used her strong legs to jump up onto the sidewalk in front of the Egyptian. "Are you going home now, Avdol?," the little girl asked. "Yes, I am. I just wanted to say goodbye before I left.," the Dark skinned man answered and knelt to the girl's height. He got her tiny arms around his neck. "Be safe on the journey home, Avdol. Until we meet again.," the little girl spoke with a small smile.

Avdol gave her a smile and hugged her back, "Until we meet again." They let go of each other and Avdol left with a wave. (Y/n) waved then stopped when she no longer saw him. The child returned to the seashore to keep playing with the things she found there. She understood why Jotaro liked it. There were so many interesting small creatures in the tide pools. She kept playing and exploring the tide pools until she saw the tide come in, she was almost hit with a wave. She squealed as she jumped out of the way of the kelp filled wave.
Iggy lifted his head up to see what was going on. He barked at the little girl. "Sorry I woke you, Iggy.," the child apologized to the dog and sat beside the canine on the bench that looked over the area. Iggy laid his head back down and yawned. He had to feel sleepy from the warm sun. The child petted the dog. His fur was smooth under her little fingers, he felt warm from the sun. The warmth that her father had only felt once. His mind was growing dimmer. He was losing himself in his isolation. She wished that he would come back in some form.

The little girl's red eyes lifted to look at the skies, the great expanse of blue was dotted with white fluffy clouds. She had been in this town for a few months now. It was almost summer vacation time for tourists to come. The little girl smiled. Humans were so interesting. Her skin grew hot as she started to burn. She covered herself with her cloak and hopped off of the bench. A small sigh escaped from her small lips. It was fun to play at the seaside. But it was time for her to move somewhere with not as much sun. She hopped off of the bench and tapped Iggy, "Time to go. Want to go to a cafe or something?"
The dog stretched and yawned before getting up. He gave her a doggy grin as he got of of the bench. "We can stop by a cafe to get something to eat. I hope there are pet friendly places nearby. Although, all places are pet friendly for me.," the girl chuckled with her little hand over her sharp grin. Iggy gave her a bark and started walking. "I'm coming.," the girl said and walked with the dog to the business section. The smell of necrotic flesh and death his her nose as she passed by a businessman in a custom suit. Their eyes met for a second. She was scared that he saw her horns and quickly looked away, she sped her pace up a little.

She stopped when she was no longer near that human. He smelled like death. Iggy nudged her leg with his cold nose and gave her a wag of his tail. "I'm okay, Iggy. Just a little paranoid about my horns.," the little girl whined and rubbed the silvery horns with a clawed finger. Iggy looked up at the girl before looking around and sniffing the air. The child could not help but to smile, "Of course, you want lunch." She followed the dog and looked at the people that they were passing by. Humans. Humans Goin about their days. In the sea of these humans, she was the only one that would still be standing after another hundred years. Iggy barked at her and got her attention away from her thoughts.
The two walked together to the business section. Iggy kept sniffing the air to look for the scents he wanted. He found one and barked to the little girl. "Hm? Did you decide what you want?," (y/n) inquired. The little dog barked and wagged his tail with a doggy grin on his face. The little girl smiled back, "I'll take that as a yes." The plum haired pillar child walked with Iggy before finding an artisan food shop. There was fresh baked goods and sandwiches. The smell of cooked meat wafted through the doors. She looked at the dog, "Let me guess. You want a beef sandwich." The Boston terrier made a cackling noise.

(Y/n) walked into the shop as Iggy waited outside. She looked around and found some beef sandwiches. They were almost sold out, this place must have been popular. The little girl picked out and purchased two sandwiches. She walked outside with the sandwiches in a bag, "Ready to go eat, Iggy?" The senior dog got up and wagged his little tail. "Let's find somewhere to eat these. Although, they are kind of big. We could share one and split one tomorrow.," the red eyed girl offered as a solution. Iggy barked in impatience.  "Okay okay, let's eat them now.," the child laughed and walked with the dog to look for a bench to eat the sandwiches on.
As she was walking, she noticed a man following her and the dog. "Iggy.," she said and the dog understood. They turned around. Iggy growled at the man. He was holding a map in front of his face so he could not be seen by the little girl. She had not used her horns to feel around much because she did not feel a need to, not much could hurt her for long.

"Mi scusa, I am a tourist. I need some help finding my way around here.," the man said in English, "Could you please help me?" He was so casual and friendly. "What are you looking for, Signore?," (y/n) inquired and found the voice familiar. "I am looking for an old friend.," came the answer and he man put his hand up to about (y/n)'s height, "She is about this tall. Really cute. Long wavy hair. She has blue markings on her face and here horns. Have you seen her?" The little girl gasped as she smelled the familiar soapy scent. The map was lowered and the smiling face of Caesar was behind it, he still looked pretty good. Like a 30 to 40 year old.
(Y/n) gasped and hugged his neck. Iggy barked at the two. "Iggy, this is Caesar!," the little girl said with a grin. She got hug back from the man. "What are you doing here Ceasar?," the child asked her old Italian friend. "I'm here on vacation, I'm retiring as an actor. I wanted to visit you and see what you are up to.," the man answered, "I'm glad I asked the Speedwagon foundation about your location."

The blond man set her on his shoulder and looked down, "And who is this?" "His name is Iggy. I would not advise picking a fight with him, he's strong.," the little girl answered, "We were about to go to lunch. Would you like to come?" "That sounds great. Shall we go to a restaurant? My treat.," Caesar offered before the little girl showed him the sandwiches she bought. Iggy barked again. He was getting impatient. "We should go to the park, it is nearby.," (y/n) suggested, "Or even the High school if you want." "The park sounds better for a picnic.," Ceasar replied and followed the child's directions to reach the park.
He and the child sat on a park bench while Iggy ate his sandwich on the ground at the Italian's feet. The two had one beef sandwich to split. "So. How are we going to split this?," Caesar asked. (Y/n) motioned for him to hold it up. He did and it spit in half in his hands. "How?," He asked. "My power. My stand. I summon bladed wings so far. I cannot bring it out in its entirety yet.," the child answered, "The wings are very sharp. Like daddy's blades."

Caesar took a bite of his half of the sandwich, "Have you seen your mother's ghost any more, or has she moved on?" "She's still around. I see her every so often. Although it is rarer to glimpse her.," (y/n) replied. The blond Italian patted the pillar's soft hair. She did not move away from his touch. "Caesar, Joseph has an Illegitimate son. Have you heard?," the child inquired. "I heard. I kind of wanted to meet him.," Caesar chuckled. "He's like Jojo. He even resembles him, pretty handsome.," The child spoke, "But he is a sweetheart." The green eyed Italian chuckled. "What?," (y/n) asked and got her head patted again.
"Nothing.," Caesar smiled and finished the last of his sandwich. He stood up and stretched, "I better get to a hotel. Do you know any good ones?" "There's the grand Morioh hotel. Joseph's grandson, Jotaro, is staying there. Kakyoin, another friend of mine, is there as well.," (y/n) replied and pointed to the location of the hotel on the map. Caesar nodded, "Sounds good." He stood and got his luggage.

"Caesar. I have to warn you. Santana is awake, he wants to come here to Japan to follow me since father is no longer here.," the child said. Caesar looked back at her with his green eyes then smiled, "Well. I think he has a good future ahead of him if you are showing him the peaceful path." The blond Italian gave her a wave after she gave him the information on where she was staying and the number to call to reach her. She was excited, another friend had arrived in Morioh. It was incredible!
Iggy barked at her, demanding an explanation. "His name is Caesar. He is an old friend from sixty-one years ago. He and Joseph fought together against my biological father and uncles.," (y/n) explained to the dog as her red eyes smiled, "I saved him from dying. I saved him because I care about life more than being the dominant species." The black and white dog listened to her speak, his tail was wagging a bit. The girl noticed this and looked to the partially eaten sandwich in her hand. She took some of the meat out and gave it to Iggy as she ate the rest, "You really need to cut back. Polpol won't like it if you go home fat."

Iggy made a growl after he heard the pillar child say that. "Hey, I'm not calling you fat. I'm saying we should cut you back to prevent you from getting fat, you're already twelve years old. You will get health problems if you are fat on top of that.," the little girl said. Iggy growled at her again and sand started swirling. "Iggy, no!," the girl exclaimed and ran as Iggy chased her.
She ran back to the Higashikata residence where Iggy pinned her down with his stand and started to lick her face. She begged the dog to stop. He did after her face was soaked in doggy saliva. The Fool went away and the girl was permitted up, she wiped her face and heard laughing from Iggy. "I'm going to have to take a bath now. My face is muddy and I'm dirty.," the girl complained. She heard Iggy laugh again, "You think that is funny huh?" She wiped his saliva off and flicked it at him. Iggy barked at her both having little smiles of their faces.

All was good in Morioh on that sunny day.
