Chapter 8

Chapter 8~ Townhouse and Travels

Once we had finally arrived at the townhouse I was let down from Sebastian's hold. I easliy slipped past the two Indians currently blocking the doorway because they didn't seem to notice me yet. They seem to be too occupied with Ciel at the moment since he still did have a fever and a cough.

"Who is this?" the man with white hair and a green robe with a bandaged hand looked at me with a kind smile.

"A pleasure to meet you, my name is Siren Sin." I curtsied and flashed them both a fake smile causing the one with dark plum hair to blush. I noticed annoyance flash in Ciel's eyes.

"Ah! What a lovely and polite young miss! My name is Agni and this is the great Prince Sohma." the man with white hair spoke while gesturing to the man with plum hair. I nodded in response.

"Sebastian we have work to finish, let us continue." Ciel commanded. I smirked and followed them up the stairs to what I assumed was his room.

I walked into the room and sat on Ciel's bed while the two argued, I found myself giggling at their actions. Ciel was placed onto the bed next to me by Sebastian. He then proceeded to undress Ciel and wash off his sweat with a slightly damp cloth. I was able to control some of my blush when Ciel still had his shirt on but I had to turn when all I could see was his bare chest. I could feel Sebastian's smirk and smug attitude radiating in waves towards me. The only thing that made me turn around once more was their conversation.

"...Never mind that, tell me of your findings. I assume you completed your task?" Ciel was commanding as every, even when sick. I smirked at the thought.

"Yes, it seems that their patron goes by Baron Kelvin a well known philanthropist." Sebastian said with a calm tone as he dressed Ciel in his noble attire. Looking at him I remembered flashes of my old life and gave a sad smile. With a swish of his cape Ciel was about to head out the door. Until Agni and Prince Sohma blocked his way. I was too lost in thought about what would happen after everything to realize what was happening around me. Apparently Prince Sohma had gotten Ciel to lay back down in bed and rest. Everyone left him alone while I stayed and even crawled in next to him. He was already long lost to the dark peacefulness of sleep, but he began to toss and turn. He reached out and grabbed my waist and pulled me closer while mumbling.

I froze when he whispered, "Siren...don't leave,"

"I'm not going anywhere," I replied with a soft and content sigh.

"I...love you..." and then it was silent, Ciel's even breathing was the only thing I could hear as I processed what he said.

He...he confessed! Oh Gods! But...he wasn't even awake, my face fell at the realization. Then I thought to myself if he won't confess to me when he is awake then I will just have to make him! But afterwards, when we have more time to think about these things.

Once I had wiggled out of Ciel's hold without waking him, I take off my dress so that I am left in a long slip that resembles a nightdress and knee socks. I crawl back into the bed and am immediately wrapped in an embrace. I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

When I awaken I notice Ciel is up. I look at him with a smirk, "Well good to see you're up...my lord..." I leaned closer and whispered the last words in his ear making him shiver. I lean back and laugh lightly.

"Why do you always do that?" he demanded. I just shrugged in response before Sebastian enter with dinner.

Apparently because of a certain prince and his butler, Sebastian found it necessary to coddle Ciel. I found the entire thing entertaining to say the least. After an embarrassed Ciel had had enough, Sebastian left him alone to rest once more.

Later that night I had checked his fever and it was reduced and almost nonexistent. His cough was gone and the asthma symptoms had disappeared. Once Ciel was prepared he slid his blue diamond ring onto his black gloved thumb and adorned his top-hat. With his high collared coat and the way it shaded his eye made him seem even more mysterious and drew me in.

"Siren, I don't think you should come with us..." Ciel said before he turned to the door. As he was opening it I swiftly walked over and slammed it shut before he could leave.

Crossing my arms and looking at him I said, "And why is that Phantomhive?" I only referred to him by his last name when I was angry.

"I don't want you getting hurt, or mixed up in this. If you were to die..." he trailed off and looked at the floor coldly.

I sighed, "I'm not as delicate as I look and besides, even if you tell me to stay home you and I both know that I won't." I turned and left the room, "I'll meet you there once I'm ready..."

I could hear Sebastian chuckle while Ciel sighed sounding very annoyed.

I moved to the room where my things were placed and began dressing. I wore and outfit styled like nobility, it was a more mature version of what I wore before my childhood turned to hell. Which wasn't very long but it was nice while it lasted. I love dresses, but I also loved the freedom of trousers. Besides in a fight the large skirts that are currently in style would only get in the way. I wore a dark plum colored blouse with ruffles down the neck and an onyx in the center. Over it I had a raven colored vest that cinched in the back like a corset. I wore black high-waisted dress shorts that had silver buttons down the front in two rows. I had thin black stockings and high heeled black lace-up boots. I wore black gloves that ended a bit before my wrists and my family ring, a black rose shaped stone set in a gold ring-frame. My hair was curled and I style it into an elegant bun with small ringlets of my hair framing my face. My eyes were in plain sight as they flashed with excitement. I smirked to myself in the mirror before using the shadows cast around the room to shadow travel to the Kelvin Manor. The dark and comfort that came from the coldness surrounding me created a new environment that welcomed me as I walked through the night like atmosphere. Once I stepped out of the shadows I was greeted by an amused Sebastian and a shocked Ciel.

"Shall we finished this Ciel?" I asked as I walked closer.

"Indeed..." he offered me his arm, which I took and we proceeded to walk up the steps and towards the doors of the manor. Once we were about to open it, they swung inward to reveal Joker.

His face was dark and sullen as he greeted us, "We have been expecting your arrival, Earl Phantomhive..."
