Ellie's P.O.V

"Come on, Ellie! Hurry up!" Shouted Joel from downstairs as I packed everything for this long ride. I'm Ellie, 14 years old. Ive been fighting with Joel for a while as we fought together and took care of each other. We've been through a lot: fighting against the infected and survivors.

"I'm coming, Joel!" As I picked everything else, I ran my way downstairs. Joel was climbing on our horse, Callus, outside. We've been having him since we left from Tommy's.

"I'm here." I said as I climbed up behind Joel on Callus. "So where are we going after we hunt?" I asked.

"Eh... Probably go to catch us a little nice ride." He said as he kicked Callus slightly on the sides to start walking.

I got my bow and arrow ready as I hid behind a tree waiting for a rabbit to jump out of its home. After waiting for a while a head of a rabbit popped out, looking around and began hopping. It was the biggest rabbit I've ever seen, probably my arm size! I took a deep breathe and held it as I aimed on the rabbit. Releasing the arrow and striking the rabbit, I walked to it checking if there was anything but nothing was there. I picked up the rabbit and walked back on the soft grass to Joel as he looked around for any danger on a hill.

"I got us some lunch!" I said, walking at a faster pace to him.

Joel turned his head around seeing me coming over. I dropped the rabbit beside Callus and began setting up the rocks to dig a fire in. I got two sticks and rubbed them together. Sparks began to form and a small fire appeared. "Yes! I did it!" I said proudly.

"That's a good girl." Joel said, smiling. He walked and sat beside me, giving Callus an apple.

"That was good." I said, laying down on the grass. The sun began to set and the sky was in a mix of purple, orange, red and yellow. "Wow. It's so beautiful." I said quietly but Joel heard it. "I agree." He said as he laid beside me.

"I think its time we should go back to the house." He suggested.

"Okie dokie." I said as I got up and helped Joel up. We rode Callus back up to our house and took our rests.
