***********************************************************************************************************************
Natsu P.O.V
I was out in the balcony, trying to cool myself off.
It wasn't working.
I didn't know why I was so upset. I mostly felt betrayed. I was the one who first found Lucy. Despite only knowing her for a few minutes, I had trusted her immediately. She took me out to eat, which was how you could always gain my trust. I even took her in to Fairy Tail, god damn it. She didn't have any right to lie to me like that!
As I continued to attempt to cool down, a voice spoke behind me. "Natsu."
I turned around and saw that it was Lucy herself. I was too angry to even look at her. I simply turned around and looked outside, leaning towards the balcony. I could hear her bare footsteps get cloer behind me. "Natsu, please. Listen to me at least."
"And why should I, Luce? Or Lucilia."
"Natsu, please don't be that way," Lucy begged. "I had my reasons for not telling you!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever," I growled. "I'm through with your lies."
"I was doing it to protect everyone," Lucy said. "You and the rest of the guild wouldn't stand a chance against the Shlavek."
"And how do you know that?" I asked, giving her my greatest attempt at an ice cold stare.
"Did you not hear what I said earlier," Lucy said. "They are magic proof. You wouldn't have been able to touch them! Everything would've ended with you in a pool of your own blood! I didn't want that!"
"I could've handle it. You should've just told the guild!"
"I couldn't risk it!" Losing control, I walked up Lucy to the point where our noses almost touched. She looked scared. That was good. I wanted her scared. I wanted her to feel how I felt when her true self appeared up at the mountains. I inflamed my hands and whispered, "You could've told me at least...I thought we were closer than this...I told you all my secrets..."
"And I told you mine!" Tears were flowing down her face. Guilt began to rise inside of me. But soon, they were replaced by my true feelings inside of me,
Betrayal.
"Not all of them," I hissed. And with that, I walked away, leaving her on the balcony. I looked around and found Gray eating with Elfman at a table. I walked up to them and asked, "Have you guys seen Lisanna? I really need to talk to her."
"Last time I saw her was upstairs with Freed."
"Freed?" I asked.
"Yeah, Freed. But enough about that, how are you doing?"
"Me? What about me?" I asked. They gave each other nervous looks, and then looked at me. "Ya know, about Lucy and all? Geez, a lot of weird things happen in Fairy Tail, but I wasn't expecting any of this at all! Were you Gray?"
He shook his head. "Lucy just seemed like...I don't know, the human type? But she's freaking half-dragon!" These two continued to talk about Lucy right in front of me. Like the usual, these two were acting more like idiots than I usually was. But then Gray asked a question that completely threw me off guard. "Natsu, didn't you like Lucy?"
Both Elfman and I looked over at Gray and exclaimed, "Huh?!"
"You heard me: you liked Lucy. You used to take her everywhere with you. You would stare at her from afar; even go into her bedroom at night and sleep in the same bed as her."
"That doesn't mean I liked her! She's my best friend!" I defended myself. "And besides, I'm dating Lisanna!"
"Whatever you say, man. I'm just stating the obvious." My face burned with embarrassment as I simply walked up the stairs. I looked through each window to search for my girlfriend and Freed, but I couldn't find them. Finally, I looked through one last window and found Freed and Lisanna talking. I was just about to head inside, when my ears accidentally listened in on their conversation. "We can't keep doing this," Lisanna whispered.
"We aren't doing anything wrong," I heard Freed whisper back. "It was just a one time thing."
"But it wasn't just once! Three times! We had sex three times!"
My heart dropped. Sex? Lisanna was sleeping with another man? And Freed of all people! She was the one telling me that she didn't want to have sex until she was absolutely ready. Was she actually ready, but for Freed? As I began to quickly die inside, I regretfully continued to overhear their conversation. "Freed, please. We need to end this."
"I'm not ending anything! I love you, Lisanna! When was the last time Natsu ever told you that?"
"Freed, please! Don't do this!"
"And didn't you say that you loved me too! Last night!" I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't hear this anymore. I slowly opened the door, making it creak loudly. I could hear Lisanna peep with fright from the sound. When she saw me, she went pale. Freed noticed me too, but simply didn't acknowledge my existence. Tears swelled up from Lisanna's face as she said two simple words.
"I''m sorry."
Lucy P.O.V
Whenever I was a mess, it was peaceful to go through Fairy Tail's garden. It was especially even more refreshing now that my Dragonite spirit was back. The flowers and the fresh, clean water made me more calm after that heated argument with Natsu. Thinking about that argument would bring tears back in my eyes.
Ever since Natsu first met me in Magnolia, he's been my best friend. He showed how life could be amazing in the human world. He showed me human emotions I'd never felt until the day I met him. He almost made me feel complete.
But to him now, I was nothing but a liar.
I sat down among a field of lilies. I wrapped myself with my own hair, just like I used to do when I was a kid. I looked at my arm and thought about my dragon tattoo. I closed my eyes and whispered in my head, Hana, are you awake?
I've been awake for a long time, my child. It was good hearing her sweet voice after so long. I could feel her essence swiming inside of me, warming me up. I've missed you Hana. It hasn't been the same since you've been sealed away.
Do not think of the past. This is now, and now is all we have to think about.
I miss Halevana, I thought sadly, I want to go back.
You will soon. It is your destiny.
What do you mean?
Something is coming to the village. Something dark. I can sense it. I sat up straight. Something was going to happen to my home? Why was I just sitting here? I must tell my master! We must return to Halevana!
We can't defeat this thing alone.
But we are alone! We are the last of our kind! All the other Dragonites have been killed by the Shlaveks.
The boy that you were speaking too before. The one with the heart of a dragon. He must go with us.
...Natsu? But he...he doesn't want to speak with me...
Then make him listen to you! You are more than him! You are a dragon!
I know...I'll try, Hana. For Halevana. I got up and ran to inside the guild. I looked around and found Natsu slowly walking down the stairs. I ran up to him as he walked down the final step. I took his hand and just dragged him outside. Surprisingly, he didn't resist. It was as if he didn't have the strength to do so. When we reached the garden again, I turned around and actually paid attention to his face. His eyes were dull; almost filled with complete sadness. For a minute, I thought he would actually cry. "Natsu...are you alright?"
"Just tell me what you want," he whispered. I wanted to touch him. Usually when I did that, he would automatically get better. I had the feeling that it wouldn't work this time. I decided to go straight to the point. "I need you to go with me."
"With you? Where?"
"Halevana."
"Why?"
"Something's going to happen....Something bad, according to Hana...She says you're the only one I can take."
He crossed his arms and asked, "Why should I help you? You lied to me. How do I know you're not lying to me now?"
"Natsu," I begged, grabbing his hands, "I need you. Not only is it my village that's in trouble, but my little sister as well...I couldn't do anything for my father and brothers when they perished, but I can do something for Shira."
Natsu stared at me for the longest time. His eyes softened and sighed. "Fine. I'll go. But if I go, so does Happy."
"Deal. Should I ask Lisanna as well?"
"No!" Natsu suddenly yelled. I flinched at his sudden raised voice. "Sorry...Lisanna and I are going through a rough bump."
"Oh...Alright then...Well, I better call our ride."
"Ride?" I smiled at his lack of knowledge. It's time to come out, Hana. My markings slowly began to glow. I closed my eyes and began to whisper the ancient words of my ancestors. "Shloveat naas tru dew. Colbn waserhale gytlo gre nab. Lux halve drakos, monqle revere disterio!" Then, a surge of power came out of my chest. I felt Hana flying out of my soul and out into the opening. I opened my eyes after closing them and smiled. She up in the sky, flying for the first time in eight years. Her scales were still as white as the moon, and her blue main flowed in the wind. I heard Natsu cry out in shock. "W-What is that?"
I turned around and smiled. "Natsu, this is my dragon, Hana. Hana, this is my friend, Natsu."
