Natsu P.O.V

"Pssst...Wake up!" I could hear someone shout  in my hear as I tried to sleep. I groaned and covered my head with the soft cloud-like blankets. The blankets flew right off of mu body, releasing some cold air onto my body. I shivered and opened one eye and saw nothing but white hair covering my eyes. I moved it aside and saw that the hair belonged to Goro. I groaned once more and looked over at my window to see the sun barely even over the horizon. "What do you want?" I yawned. "It's barely dawn."

"It's time," was all he said.

"Time to go back to sleep?" I complained.

"Now is not the time," he whispered. "We must train Lucy." When he mentioned Lucy, my heart skipped a beat and my mind looked back into what I did the other day. I gently touched my lips and sighed. I slowly got out of bed. I followed the short little shaman throughout the large estate. When we walked through the large bridge that connected the second building, Goro began to talk. "You sleep good?"

I nodded, stuffing my hands into the black pockets of my shorts. Goro began to walk even more slowly so that he would be by my side. He pointed towards the sun and asked, "Isn't that beautiful?"

I looked over and stared at it. It was beautiful. It was a bright orange but the sky around it was a dark and mysterious shade of purple and blue.  I felt like I could stare at the sky for the longest time. "It's really peaceful," I muttered.

"Do you know what the most peaceful thing about it is?"

"What?"

"It is not man made. It is not magically made. It is made on it's own." He said. "Natsu?"

"Yeah," I answered.

"Can you imagine living in a world without your magic? Without any magic in the world?" I looked at him and stared at him with question. He was simply staring at the sky, grinning like a fool and stroking his white beard. I cleared my throat and said, "I know what it's like. I've been to Edolas."

"Edolas wasn't a complete magic-free world. It just had a small amount of magical aura that it wasn't usable. The people of Edolas are well aware that magic exists. But what if there was a place that doesn't have magic and doesn't acknowledge it? What if they don't believe in magic?"

"That kind of place doesn't exist," I stated. There was no way in hell. We even had Mavis confirm that there was no other worlds besides our world and Edolas. It was obvious that Goro was just making up some wisdom-y mumbo jumbo to get me thinking of the meaning of life or some shit like that. But then something came into my mind. In my dream, there was that boy who was supposedly my son-Alfred I think-mentioning a place called "England". I had never heard of England before, and no one has ever even mentioned it. But hey, it was just a dream right?

Right?

"So how exactly are we going to train Lucy this early in the morning?"

"Shira told me something before you guys arrived she noticed something within the part of Lucy's mind that's blocking Lucy's full potential."

My eyes widened. "You mean her potential now isn't at her fullest?"

He shook his head. "Lucy doesn't know this, but she is one of the most powerful of her kind. If she doesn't know how to use the full extent of her magic, she can be dangerous to herself and to others. Especially when she doesn't know how to harness it."

"So what are we going to do?"

"We will be delving deep into her main memories that are blocking the rest of her magical usage: her happiest memory, her saddest memory, her most feared memory, and her most oppressed memory. It will take a mere hour or so, and it shouldn't hurt her that much-"

"Wait, this can hurt her?" I asked, suddenly feeling concerned.

He chuckled. "Not at all. I just wanted to test you?"

"Test me on what?"

"To see how much you care about Lucilia." I could suddenly feel my face burning up in embarrassment. I faced away from Goro so that he couldn't see my face, but he didn't need to see my face to see what I was feeling. I could hear him gently chuckle. "How long have you known Miss Foner?"

"Almost a year," I answered.

"Well, with the connection I see with my eyes, I see a bond that's so strong that could last a lifetime." I didn't reply. He was just acting like an old man. He didn't know what our relationship was like. I mean, our relationship was....was...

Complicated.

We stand at the front of Lucy's room.  I gently pushed the door open and saw nothing but darkness. I could see a sliver of light from the door, and I could see Lucy's long hair fall from the ground. I slowly tip-toed my way towards her. The closer I got, the more I could get a whiff of her scent. She took a bath before she went to bed, I thought. She used some kind of rose-scented soap or something...She smells really good. I soon found myself standing over a sleeping Lucy. I sat on the edge of the bed and hesitated on whether to wake her up or not. She looked so peaceful and warm I almost feel sorry for her to be woken up by me. I gently shoved Lucy's shoulder and whispered, "Hey Luce, time to wake up." She moaned softly and covered her head with the blankets. I shoved a little harder, and this time she poked her head out of the covers and squinted her eyes. "N...Natsu?" She yawned, stretching her body. She sat up, and stretched her arms and suddenly puts her hands on my face, as if she was feeling around it. "This is Natsu, right?"

I chuckled, gently removing her hands from my face. "It's me. Now get up and get dressed." She looked over through her window and gasped. "It's too early! Can't we just sleep a little longer!" She whined.

"All I know is that Goro wants to train you, which for some reason has to involve your mind."

"Mm, alright...Can you carry me to the closet," she asked, taking her arms out in the air. I chuckled and shook my head. "Please!" She begged, pouting. I sighed. I turned around and crouched down and waited until I felt her arms wrap around me. I grabbed her legs and hoisted her up on my bag. It felt weird touching her bare legs when all she was wearing was a short night dress. My fingers felt like they were getting electrocuted by mini jolts of lightening. Lucy rested her head  on my bag, and some strands of her long hair touch my cheek, and my face immediately began to burn up. "I like how you're always warm, Natsu."

I chuckled awkwardly. "Thanks. I try." She must be really tired.

"No, Natsu, I mean it! I could just hug you and rub myself on you forever and ever!" She exclaimed, snuggling closer and closer to my neck. I dropped her off by the door that lead to her closet. She yawned once more, rubbing her eyes. "I'll be out in a second." I patiently waited outside her door as I heard the sound of the ruffling of clothes, my mind suddenly began to wander and imagine. What the hell is wrong with you, Natsu? Get your head together! Lucy walked out of the closet fully dressed in jeans and a white blouse. She seemed much more awake after taking off her pajamas. "So...what exactly are we going to do?"

Goro took the two of us to some kind of pond surrounded by clear-crystallized rocks. Under the barely rising sky, it glistened and shined various colors of reds and oranges. I could hear Lucy sigh in awe as she crouched near the pond, about to touch it with her finger. "So beautiful..."

"Don't touch it!" Goro suddenly yelled, making Lucy freeze as the tip of her pointer-finger almost touched the surface of the pool. "It'll burn your skin."

"Burn my skin? It's just water."

"Wrong: it's tainted crystallized liquid. If a dragon touches it it will burn your skin. That goes for offspring as well." Lucy's eyes widened as she stared at how close her hand was to potentially getting burned and brought it back to her. Goro walked past us and stepped on top of the water, surprisingly not sinking. He sprinkled some weird dust around him on the surface of the water, and suddenly the pond began to glow immensely, blinding the two of us. As the light slowly began to dim, we looked back at a seemingly always happy Goro. "Alright, the water is ready. Are you ready to submerge?"

"I still don't know what exactly I'm doing," Lucy reminded Goro.

Goro chuckled. "Oh right, silly me! This pond is called Noorse gaka Veesmir-The Pond of Enlightenment. Two people are supposed to go in, one at a time. The first one, which will be Lucy, will blend in with the crystallized liquid and become one with the pond mentally. The second person, Natsu, will then step in and will be able to go deep into the subconscious of Lucy and help clear Lucy's mind. Natsu, when you enter, you'll be going through Lucy's memories and looking at the four main elements: fire, water, earth, and air. Each and every one of them have to do with the memories that I told you about; her happiest, saddest, most feared, and oppressed. All you'll have to do is simply touch them and you'll be on your way."

I cracked my knuckles and sighed, "This'll be a piece of cake."

However, Lucy stammered, "W-W-Wait a minute! I don't know if I'm comfortable with this...He'll be seeing all of my memories?"

"Only the main ones. And trust me, you won't even know he's there...sort of...well, you'll feel him." Lucy didn't look that convinced. She got up on her legs and just continued to stare at the water. I could see her small glances from me to the water. Was she nervous of me being inside her mind? Was there a  memory she didn't want to see?

"Alright...I guess I'm going in," she said nervously. She took off her sandals and hesitantly raised a leg. She tipped one toe into the liquid, and suddenly she was dragged in. She didn't even have enough time to scream before her whole body was now completely covered in liquid. In a panic, I fell to the ground and was about to put my hand in the liquid, yelling, "Lucy!"

"Calm down, Natsu. She isn't drowning. She's adapting." I looked back at the liquid and saw the air bubbles slowly begin to disappear. The liquid glowed slightly, and then disappeared. "Now it's your turn, Natsu."

"I don't think I want to after what happened to Lucy," I said honestly. But I knew I had no choice. I took off my sandals and stared down at the pond. I could barely see Lucy's blond hair floating from the bottom. It was actually strange that I could see Lucy but not my own reflection. I took one last deep breath before stepping onto the pond. It was a strange feeling, as if the pond was coming to life and dragging me down just like Lucy. When I submerged, I didn't feel a freezing sensation like you usually do with water. It was a lot warmer and a lot more dense, making it harder to breath. As I continued to lack air, my eye-sight continued to darken, until I saw nothing but black.

When I woke up, I found myself sitting on Lucy's dark room back in Magnolia. I sat up and looked around. There was snow lightly falling in the dark sky through her window, which meant that it was winter. I found Lucy's clothes scattered all over the ground, including her underwear, making me blush. So...is this a memory? Suddenly, I heard the sound of whimpering coming from Lucy's bed. I walked over to Lucy's bed and found Lucy wearing nothing but a large t-shirt, crying into her pillow. I got a little nervous and felt obligated to help her, but then I realized that this was only a memory so she wouldn't hear me. "Dear God, don't tell me this is her saddest memory," I muttered to myself. Then, there was a knock on the window. "Oi, Lucy! Open up! It's freezing!" I looked over and saw my past self knocking on the window.

And that's when it slowly began to click. I began to remember what this memory was. It was the very first winter that Lucy and I shared together since she joined Fairy Tail. On that day, there was a huge black out and Lucy was home alone homesick. "So...What memory is this? Her most feared?" Lucy wiped away her tears and walked up to the window, letting my past-self in. I shivered and walked through Lucy's room. "W-What are you doing here?" She stuttered.

"Well, Happy's hanging out with the other Exceeds, and I just wanted to hang with you for a while, especially when you're alone during a black out."

Lucy smiled slightly and said, "Thanks, but right now...I'm just really not in the mood." The past self of me walked closer to Lucy and noticed the tears under her eyes. "Have you been crying?"

She quickly wiped her eyes some more and lied, "N-No."

"You're lying. Your eyes are so puffy I'm afraid they'll pop. Go to the table and sit. I'll bring a candle and some snacks. The two of them-us? Ugh, it was too confusing- split up; Lucy went to sit on the table, covering herself with a blanket, while the past me grabbed one candle, a two bags of regular and strawberry marshmallows, a box of tooth picks, and a bowl that was filled with chocolate syrup. He brought them all onto the table and lit the candle with his fingers. Lucy looked at him and asked, "What's all this for?"

"I know how much you like sweets, and since we're about to have a serious best friend to best friend moment, I think sweets are very necessary. Now spill."

"Natsu, it's no big-"

"Spill it, Luce!" He urged on. Am I really that pushy? I thought to myself. She looked at my past self with sad content and slowly began to spill the beans. She began to talk about missing her home, and her mother and father. Back then, it didn't make any sense to me because her "father" Jude was a cruel man during her childhood. But now as I was listening to her story after knowing the truth, I can tell that she was talking about her family from her village. The past me nodded, understanding Lucy's struggle, and randomly decided to grab a marshmallow, stick on a toothpick, and dip it in chocolate sauce. "Luce, I know you miss your mom and your pops and the good old days, and even though you've left that all behind, that doesn't mean you lost your famiily. Fairy Tail is your family, no matter what.

Lucy slightly smiled and grabbed the toothpick from his hand. "Why are you so dense, yet you know the right words to say to make me feel better?"

"Gramps says that's my gift: to make others feel better. And you know what else is gonna make you feel better? That chocolate covered strawberry marshmallow." Lucy looked down at her treat and took one huge bight. She squealed with delight and exclaimed, "So good!"

"So now that we've got that out of the way, how about we just talk for the rest of the night."

"Wait, you're not gonna leave?"

"In that cold weather? No thank you. I think today calls for a sleep over at the Heartfilia's apartment."

Lucy smiled. "Alright...Thanks again, Natsu...You're a real friend."

The past me smiled back. "Just remember that I'm always here for you. No matter what." Suddenly, I noticed that the flame on the candle began to glow more brightly than it normally did. I couldn't help but smile at the flame. So this is your happiest memory...And I'm a part of it. I walked up and gently touched one finger against the flame. Slowly, the light got brighter and brighter to the point where everything began to disappear in a blink of an eye. The last thing I heard was the sound of Lucy's cute laughter.

When I woke up again, I was by Lucy's hut. It was dark outside, but there was still light from the stars up in the sky. Everything looks the same. Maybe I'm not that far back in time... Then, suddenly I heard a little girl screaming, "Give it back! Give it back!" I looked back and saw an older boy with black hair running around with a doll, while a little girl with blond hair was screaming at him from behind. No way...Is this Lucy when she was little? Lucy was very small and wore what would look like a dress made of leaves and wool. She wasn't wearing shoes, so her feet were dark compared to the rest of her creamy body. "Give it back, Hagis! That belongs to Shira!"

"Shira is only a baby, Lucilia. She won't remember me taking it," he said coolly.

"But I will! Give it back or else I'll tell Papa!"

"You better do what she says," another boy with red hair commented. "She's a Dragonite like us, remember?"

"You better hush, or else I'll electrify you Janus," Hagis hissed.

"Just because you're a storm Dragonite, doesn't mean you're a badass."

"And what about you Mr. Plant-All-Mighty? What are you gonna do, give me poison oak?"

"Both of you, just shut up!" Everyone, including me, looked over to see a tall, built blond man who didn't look over the age of twenty. His eyes were a cool yet fierce blue like Lucy's. He went over and picked pu Lucy with only one arm. "Which one is being the mean one, Traana?"

Lucy puffed her cheeks and pointed at Hagis. "Hagis is, Javier! He stole the doll I made for Shira!"

"You made that doll?"

She nodded. "Yes I did! It's taken me two moons, but I did it!" Javier smiled and walked over to Hagis, who was a full foot smaller  than he was. Javier simply took the doll from the brother's hand and gave it to younger Lucy. Lucy smiled and gave her brother a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Tagawa!"

He smiled. "No problem, Truuna."

"Show off," Hagis muttered, kicking a random stone on the ground. "Can we go already! Father said he was going to have a huge festival or something for the Dragonites, and I don't want to miss out on some free fried fox!"

"Lets go!" Lucy exclaimed. "I want to eat some turtle soup!" The four of them began to walk away from the hut and towards the village. I began to follow them step by step, looking at how more lively Lucy was as a kid. I had to admit, it was actually adorable.

But that was all stopped quickly by the sound of a shrill scream.

Everyone, including me, froze. There was another screaming followed by that. And another. And another. There were then three green flames that went up in the air, almost as if they were flares. "Shalvek...," Javier whispered, his eyes full of panic. He quickly gave Lucy to Hagis and yelled, "You two, run as far away as possible!"

"But what about you?" Hagis yelled, his arms shaking along with Lucy.

"I can manage! Just run! NOW!" Hagis, Janus, and Lucy did as what they were told and began to run the opposite direction of Javier. Lucy was already crying, calling out to her eldest brother's name. I ran along side with them, keeping my eye out on younger Lucy. Suddenly, Janus stopped, his eyes widening. Hagis noticed his brother had stopped and looked back. "What the hell are you doing!"

"...We're surrounded. There are Shlavek soldiers coming from every angle...We have to hide Lucy."

"No! I want to stay with my Tagawas!" Lucy cried out loud. Janus, without listening to Lucy, grabbed her and decided to hide her in the hole of a tree. He quickly grabbed mud and leaves and wiped them all over her body, making her look filthy. "There. Now they won't be able to get to you."

"But what about you, and Hagis, and Javier! What about Papa and Shira!"

"I just got a telepathic message from Father. Shira is safe, now listen to me. No matter what happens to us, your brothers, or to Father...You must always know that we love you. From the bottom of our hearts."

"No...Don't go," she whispered, tears still falling from her face. There were tears falling down from Janus's face too, as well as Hagis. "If...If we don't make it...Just remember...You are Dragonite. We will be watching from Ksneeal as long as you continue to walk this earth, okay? You will never be alone." Janus took out his hand and gently touched Lucy's cheek, and left Lucy in the tree hole. Not even a minute later, the two brothers were surrounded by Shlavek soldiers. I noticed one of them that looked strikingly familiar. That's...That's the guy Lucy fought last week! Cornelus was his name I think. Janus and Hagis got into a battle stance and said their last words to each other. "It was an honor being your brother, Hagis."

"Same to you, Janus." And then, they fought. I looked back at the hidden Lucy, who's eyes were wide with terror and looked as if she wasn't breathing. The fight didn't even last three minutes. Suddenly, a spear was thrown through Hagis's body, making him gasp and cough up blood. "HAGIS!" Janus yelled. While trying to aid his brother, a hidden Shlavek soldier came up from behind and pierced his neck with a dagger. Lucy squeaked softly, covering her mouth has tears continued to fall down her face. The two brothers fell on top of each other, and slowly, their bodies began to disappear. "Do you guys feel anymore Dragonite presences?"

"I think I feel one near the Northern Border."

"Alright men, lets go!" They all marched past the tree, not noticing that there was a Dragonite less than a yard away from them. Lucy tried to climb out the tree, but instead she fell and scrapped her knee. She looked down at the pool of blood that was left from her brothers and gently touched it. She burried her sobs within the doll and continued to cry. "Bye bye...Tagawas," she sobbed. Suddenly, her doll began to glow. I walked up to it and sighed. Her saddest memory...Watching the death of her brothers. I gently touched the rock eyes of the doll, and everything began to disappear.

"I woke up in a mansion. A huge mansion. A familiar mansion.

This is Lucy's place; when she was a Heartfilia and not a Foner. "Lucy, please, eat some dinner," an angelic voice came from the door next door. I got up and walked through the door, and saw the same younger Lucy and her foster mother, who surprisingly looked exactly like her. Lucy looked almost anorexic, and her eyes looked so tired that the  sound of a pin dropping could probably scare her. Layla pushed a hot bowl of soup towards Lucy, but she just continued to stare into space. "Lucy, you're going to get sick if you don't eat."

"...Not hungry," she whispered. Layla sighed and brushed Lucy's hair past her face. I cringed at the look of a sickly Lucy. Layla got up and said, "I'll go get you some medicine. Stay put and don't leave this room, okay?" Lucy silently nodded.  Layla looked very concerned of her brand new daughter, but still left her at peace. Lucy just stared at her soup for countless minutes. What memory is this? Suddenly, there was a flash of lightening that startled Lucy. Her eye's widened even more as she fell off of her bed, spilling the hot soup. She hurried near the closest corner and got into a feedle position. "No one can hurt me...No one can hurt me...No one can hurt me..."She continued to whisper to herself, rocking back and forth.

Lightning continued to flash, making her scream and cover her ears. She screamed some more and closed her eyes. She crawled to the other side of the room, but there was such a large gust of wind that broke through, making glass shatter everywhere. Glass cut through her skin, making her cry even more. "Mama!" Lucy cried. "Mama!" Layla came in running, shocked at what she saw. "Oh, Lucy!"

She came running towards Lucy, but Lucy pushed her away and tried running through the pile of glass, continuing to scream, "Mama! Mama!" Blood was dripping from the soles of her feet as she approached the window. "I want Mama! Where's my mama!"

Layla suddenly snatched Lucy by the waist and held Lucy tightly. "No! Let me go! I want my mama!"

"Lucy," Layla said calmly. "I am your mother now."

"NO!" She screamed.

"YES!" She yelled back, struggling to settle Lucy down. "I know, I am not the woman who gave birth to you, but I will treat you as if I did! To me, you are a precious gift  that has been given to me! I am not going to let you ruin your life this way!"

Lucy slowly began to calm down, squeezing onto Layla's dress. Layla pressed Lucy's head against her chest as tears fell from her eyes to Lucy's hair. "You don't have to worry about anything. You are protected in this house."

The shards of glass suddenly began to glow. Looking back at the frightened Lucy, I deducted what memory this was. Most feared...Fear of losing family, I thought silently to myself. I walked up to the shard of glass closest to the two girls, but looked back the two girls. I'm your family too, Luce...You aren't alone. I touched the shard of glass, and slowly my surrounding slowly began to turn into a bright white.

When I came to, I found Lucy shuffling across her apartment. She looked like a nervous wrecked. She was wearing just a Christmas sweater that had a decorated tree on it and jeans, and her hair was in a messy bun. She was biting her nails as she continued to walk back and forth and back and forth. "This is bad...This is really, really bad," she muttered.

This must be the oppressed memory...But what's so bad about this memory? Lucy sat on her bed and took out a raggedy doll and propped it up against her pillows. She wiped her face with her hands and sighed with frustration. "Alright, here it goes...Natus, you and I have been friends for a while now...and we've gotten closer and closer as friends, but something...something inside is telling me that I don't want to be...just friends." My eyes widened. I sat down in place of the doll and stared into Lucy's flustered eyes. Wait...this isn't a-.

"What I'm trying to say is...is that I'm in love with you, Natsu. Whenever I see you, my heart beats faster than others. When you laugh, I can't help but laugh with you because your laugh is so beautiful.  Whenever I look into your eyes, I feel like I'm a whole entire new world that I wouldn't mind staying for the longest of times. You're also so brave, courageous, and confident, and not that many people have all three of those traits. I love you Natsu...And I can't get you out of my mind...No..No, no, no I can't say that to him! Ugh, it's so embarrassing."

She loves me...? She actually loves me? There was a bunch of confusion going on inside of me. A small part of me was wondering how the hell did I not notice her developing feelings for myself. But a huge part of me was actually kind of happy. My heart was suddenly racing, and a smile couldn't disappear from my face. She loves me. ME!

"Nope, you are not backing down right now! You've already backed down two other times, you are not backing down this time!"  She got up, put on her fur boots, and walked out of her apartment. I urgently followed her. She was strutting through the halls of her apartment complex with confidence, which made her more and more attractive. She left her building and walked her way through the streets with a confident look. I wonder why she didn't confess to me? Something bad must've really happened since this is her most oppressed memory. She stopped walking and her eyes widened when she saw the past me in the distance, talking to Lisanna. "Crap," she whispered, quickly hiding in the nearest alley. She suddenly leaned in closer to hear what the two of us were talking about. "Do you really mean it?" Lisanna gasped.

"Yeah, I kinda do...I've been thinking this ever since you've came back, and I really think it'll work."

"Oh my God Natsu," Lisanna said, her voice cracking as she covered her mouth. "I will! I will go out with you!"

My mind froze. Fuck. I remembered this now. The guys from Fairy Tail and I had gone drinking a while before this and kept on pressuring me to ask Lisanna out. I had reluctantly agreed for the sake of shutting them up.

I was a fucking idiot.

I looked back at Lucy, who's face was completely blank. I could hear a soft laugh come out of her mouth, making me feel even more and more guilty. She took a deep breath and laughed even more, but then I saw a crystal-clear tear fall down her cheek. "I'm...such an idiot," she whispered as she slowly broke down into tears. Her tears began to glow brightly, but I didn't touch them. I walked up closer to Lucy and watched as she continued to cry soft enough so that she couldn't be heard by Lisanna and me. If you would've told me just a split second earlier...I would've accepted it. Damn right I would've because...because...I love you too, Luce...and I'm sorry.

I gently touched Lucy's wet cheek, and slowly watched the world around me disappear into white.

When I woke up, I couldn't breath. Liquid was slowly filling my body as I tried to breath. I didn't know what was happening until I realized where I was. I looked up and indeed saw Goro on the other side of the surface, which motivated me to swim up in the surface. When I hit fresh air, I let out a huge gasp for air as I climbed myself out of the pond and just relax on the sweet, sweet land. I looked up to see Goro smiling like a fool over me. "Well, looks like that was successful."

I coughed up more of the disgusting liquid from my mouth and asked, "Where's Lucy"

"She stormed out of here as fast as she could. Her face was so red I thought she was boiling in there! What on earth happened in her mind!"

I sighed with frustration and covered my eyes with my hands. "Fuck...," I whispered. I had a lot of damage control to do.

Lucy P.O.V

He saw it. He saw it. Shit, shit, shit!

I paced back and forth in my room, trying to figure out how I would face Natsu. I mean, he saw my practice confession! I didn't even think I could face him without blushing of embarrassment. Because let's be real here; he loved Lisanna more than he would ever love me. That was a fact.

A sad, depressing fact.

Suddenly, there was a gentle knock on my door. My heart stopped. I turned around and faced my locked door, praying that it was just my imagination. There was a second series of knocks. It wasn't my imagination. "Hey Luce...can we talk for a second?" Natsu's voice asked from the other side of the door.

"Shit...Natsu, I'm not in the mood to talk...Just leave."

"Let's just talk and-"

"I said I'm not in the mood!" I yelled, sitting on the corner of my bed and ruffling my hands through my hair. There was no more noise coming out of the other side of the door. I sighed with relief when I realized that he had left. I fell on top of my bed and just continued to groan out of embarrassment. "This'll probably make our relationship even more complicated," I muttered to myself, burying my face in the blankets of my bed.

Suddenly, there was a knocking on my window. I got up, and to my utter shock, there was Natsu, barely on the edge of my window, trying to hold on to dear life. "Lucy! Open your window!"

I got up and yelled, "Are you mad!? What the hell were you thinking?!"

"I was thinking that this would be easier for me to talk to you, unless you want me to fall to my death...and may I remind you I'm REALLY REALLY HIGH UP!" He yelled, pressing his face against the window for security. I practically screamed with frustration and walked up to my window, opened it, and pulled the idiot inside my room. He panted for air as he collapsed on the floor. He looked up at me and said, "I think I am now afraid of heights." He tried to laugh it out to lighten the mood, but it didn't work. I stared down at him and asked, "What do you want?"

He got up and looked at me straight and said, "I just want to talk."

"About?" I asked, even though I knew what we were going to talk about.

"That memory...That last memory I was in," he said, his face turning slightly red. I sighed and walked over to the door. He happened to be very quick because he run up and blocked the door. "Can you just let me speak! Please! Hear me out!"

He looked desperate. I never liked it when he looked desperate. I sighed with frustration and walked over to my bed, getting ready to listen. "Alright, lets talk."

"Alright...so, that wasn't like a dream right? That actually happened?"

I nodded. "Yup...every single partial detail was real."

"So you actually...love me?" My face was burning up just from him saying those words. This was utterly embarrassing. Here he was, my "crush" talking to me about me being in love with him like I'm actually thirteen. I looked up high enough so that he couldn't see my reddening face. "Y...Yeah. I kinda do...B-But it doesn't matter! You have Lisanna anyways."

"How many times do I have to tell you that we're done! She cheated on me, Luce!"

"That doesn't mean that you guys are through! There's always the thought reconciling with her, and then the two of you can go off into paradise."

Natsu raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think that's how it was?"

It was my turn to raise an eyebrow. "Are you for real? Lisanna is gorgeous! She's a billion times prettier than me, and she's super, super sweet, and probably a lot more fun than me!"

He scoffed. "Obviously you are mistaken! Lucy, every time I enter the guild, I look for you because you are the person I want to see. And when it comes to beauty, Lisanna doesn't even begin to compare! I mean, you have your beautiul long hair that's soft to the touch, your kind, gently eyes, and your kind smile that just brightens the room! And when it comes to kindness, you are willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of someone's safety, and most people don't do that!" He sat down on the bed next to me, still looking at me in the eye. "And ever since the day I met you, under that love spell and fawning over that dick imposter in Magnolia, my life has been nothing but a roller coaster full of twists and turns. And honestly, it's been the most fun I've had in a long, long time."

I stared Natsu with burning eyes. I gently touched my eye and indeed felt wet tears beginning to form. "Shit...You're making my cry."

"Well," he said, wiping the tear away with his thumb, "then this'll be the last time that will happen." With out us knowing, we had gotten closer to each other on the bed. Our finger tips were gently over lapping each other's, and our faces were so close that we could probably feel our breaths on our face. My leg was barely touching touching his, and it was sending sparks all through my body. I looked into Natsu's eyes, and he wanted the same thing I wanted. Natsu moved his hand to the back of my neck, slowly moving strands of my hair to the right. He gently pulled me in closer. And closer. And closer, to the point where I could feel his hot breath. My lips slowly met his lips, and suddenly something happened from within.

A spark.

I slowly kissed him back, pressing my hand over his neck and pushing him even closer and deepening our kiss. It was strange, our first kiss. It was as if...I had been missing out for the longest time. It was just so hard to describe that all I wanted to do was keep on kissing him and figure out what it was. Natsu pulled me closer by the waist, and I ran my fingers through his soft hair. We slowly pulled away for air and just stared at each other in the eye. We were slightly out of breath, but we didn't want ot leave each.

Suddenly, the earth around us slowly began to shake. The debris around us began to fall in pebbles. We stood up on our feet, leaving me scared out of my wits. "What's going on!"

"Stay close!" Natsu yelled, grabbing on to my wrist with security. A giant rock fell a foot in front of us, making me scream. One huge boulder was now blocking our only exit. The ground continued to shake more and more, making me stumble towards Natsu. Natsu looked stressed, trying to find protected shelter. "Quick, over there!" Natsu pointed towards a trap door on the ground that led to an underground garden. Pulling me along with him, we ran off to the cellar and quickly closed the door above us. There were sounds of giant pieces of stone falling above the door, but luckily not big or strong enough to brake through.

And then, things went silent.

I stared back at Natsu through the dark garden, and he looked at me with disbelief. "What...the hell...was that?"
