Chapter 8
************************************************************************************
A/N: I sometimes in my writing stop writing a scene and just give hints of what happened in the scene (Not always ofc!) for the reader to imagine it themselves, for example in this chapter imagine the worst thing that could've had happened between this and chapter 7. Please tell me if I should stop doing it and I know there are some rules to writing but what can I do? I like breaking rules lol anyways tell me if I can improve on anything~ thank you for reading!

Yuki could hear some faint sirens that sounded like police cars, finally, she might get saved from all the terror she has been though in the past couple of hours that seemed like decades. She felt her body shaking none stop, her blood trailed behind her as she tried to get up and move. The monsters that did it were long gone after hearing the police cars. Yuki turned around spotting Akari sobbing at the corner of the room, she slowly crawled near her as she hugged her making her groan in pain from her accidentally pressing on the bruises left on her arms.
"YUKI!" Yuki's dad slammed the basement's door open as he dashed towards his daughter that layed there near Akari looking helpless,
They hugged each other tightly as Yuki's father picked her up, "D-dad... I-I.." Yuki burst into tears as she hid her face into her father's chest and continued wailing loudly, terrified. Yuki's father looked at her worriedly and asked, "Honey... What did they do to you?"
Yuki looked at her father and shook her head as she pointed at the trail of blood on the ground. Her father widened his eyes in horror as his nose pinched, "BLOOD?!" He yelled horrified as the police officers began to investigate the scene,
"Call an ambulance!" a police officer demanded, looking at the blood that surrounded the whole place,
Akari and Yuki were taken into an ambulance car as Yuki's father rushed in with them. Yuki layed on the ambulance's bed as her eyes wandered around the car trying to find Akari's guardians but they were nowhere to be seen, she was all alone passed out beside her.
...
Yuki woke up, her head spinning as she stared at the white plain ceiling of the hospital trying to regain her focus. There was a nauseating smell of antiseptic and chemicals that triggered her memories of her past visits to the hospital. She didn't hate the scent but rather the memories that came with it, most of her memories at hospitals were negative. Yuki tried to turn around to see who was on the bed next to hers but the sharp pain rushed through her body making her fall back down on the bed, she looked down at her legs filled with welts from the belt-beating she got and spreading purple and green of blotches and bruises.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" a soft croaky voice came from beside Yuki as she turned to face Akari, "Hey, we're in the same class," Yuki said looking at Akari, they were both wearing hospital gowns covered in ice wraps put by the doctors to help with the swelling.
"Yeah.. you're Lee Yuki right-"
"You can't ask her now sir!" a low pitched voice came from outside of the room's door which cut Akari off, "Yes I can! I need to find whoever did this to my daughter!" Yuki recognized the voice of the second guy speaking, it was her father.
The door opened as Yuki's father approached her with the doctor trying to stop him, "good, you're up. Tell me what happened and who did this." Yuki's father demanded,
Yuki stayed silent and looked at him as she thought of the things she saw and had to go through, she began shaking in fear as her eyes drowned in tears, she screamed and kicked making her fall under the bad as she covered her ears and shut her eyes closed, she was reliving everything she has gone through. Her father's eyebrows knitted as he tried to reach out and calm his daughter down, he held her hand which made her shudder and holler louder and louder like a red fox screaming and barking in pain.
Her father quaked at the sight of his daughter acting out like this, a wave of guilt washed over him as he tried to calm her down.
She soon calmed down after getting a small shot of antipsychotic haloperidol from the doctors, but she was still not responding to any of their questions neither was Akari. Akari wasn't as traumatized as Yuki, she only said that the bad guys beat her and locked her in a dark closet after saying that she will be next.
...
Yuki and Akari were left alone after an hour of questioning where they didn't answer all the police's questions. Yuki suddenly turned around and tilted her head, "Why didn't your parents come, Akari?"
Akari looked back at Yuki as she forced a smile, "They said they were too busy and that I should be taking care of myself and be responsible for what happened."
Yuki knitted her eyebrows and said in a worried tone, "But you're like 9!"
"Yeah, but they said they were busy so I get it"
Lines formed between Yuki's eyebrows as she sighed, it wasn't really her place to ask more. She knew what one question could lead to and how it can negatively affect someone, she just experienced that.
"Let's be friends! I won't be too busy to stay with you, my cousin can stay by your side too! We can all be friends." Yuki exclaimed as she hopped out of bed ignoring the pain and reached out to Akari to pull her into a hug,
Little did she know that she just became friends with someone that would turn out to be her future's worse enemy.
