Some months later...

Tony's POV

-We are landing in Washington- the pilot said.

I nodded.
I would have wanted to spend Christmas with Nat but she insisted that it was better to me to spend the holidays with my family.

When I arrived at home I found Pepper cooking the last things and I saw that she decorated the living room like you usually do when there are guests for lunch or dinner.

But it was only us, so why did she do that?

-Do you like it?- she asked.

-Yeah but why did you do it?- I asked confused.

-I wanted it to be special and I was bored- she said smiling.

I kissed her; why did it feel so different?
We had dinner and the turkey was so good, Pepper was defenetly better than me in cooking.

-I have a thing to show you- Pepper said and took a bag -Open it-.

I did like she said and inside the bag there was a shirt: the problem was that it was very little, almost little like the clothes for dolls.

-What does this mean? Wait... No- I said realizing what that meant -You....?-.

She was smiling, almost crying for happiness.

-Oh My God- I said and we kissed.
I couldn't believe that, it all seemed so unreal!

-You should move defenetly here in Washington- she said -Once that the baby will be born you can't keep travelling like you do now-.

I couldn't move in Washington... I couldn't leave Nat alone forever in that tower... And I couldn't imagine my life without Nat...

-I can't move here... We should move to New York, the biggest part of my work is there- I said -We can live in the tower, there are a lot of floors and we can build our own apartment there-.

-I am not going to raise my child in the same building where an assassin lives!- she said.

-How do you...?- I was confused, how did she know?

-I have heard talking about her with Fury- she said -We can move to New York but not in that tower!-.

I sighed. I could understand her point of view but Nat wasn't dangerous... Speaking of her, how was I going to tell her that?

Nat's POV

With the new year I felt like I was born again. It all felt different and I was free, I didn't spent new year's eve in my cell.

The sound of the elevator told me that someone was arriving on my floor and I knew very well who that person was.

Indeed, Tony entered my room and I smiled, hugging him.

-Did you miss me?- he asked.

-Yes, a lot- I said smiling -I missed you coming here everyday-.

-I have something to tell you- he said and he looked very serious.

We sat on the couch and he told me that Pepper was pregnant and that he was moving to another house in New York with her.

I should have been happy for him but... Yeah, I can say that I was sad and jealous.

-I will still come here everyday, don't worry. Anything won't change for you, I only thought that you deserved to know- he said.

-Yeah... Well I... I am happy for you- I said.

Don't cry, don't cry, don't- I cried.

-Hey hey- he said hugging me.

He looked in my eyes and took a tear with his finger.

-I am not going to leave you, I promise- he said.

I looked at him, his face was blurred because of the tears.

-Kiss me- I whispered -Please-.

He was confused at first but then he did like I said.

Oh how much did I miss his kisses! I wanted more and more, it was like a drug!

We kept kissing and I lied on the sofa with him keeping kissing me.

His lips went on my neck and I stretched it, helping him.

-If you want me to stop tell me now- he said.

-Don't please, make me forget everything- I said.

Later we were both lying on my bed, both hugging and Tony's hands were caressing my back sweetly.

-I just cheated on my girlfriend who is pregnant and I don't feel guilty... I feel like this is a good thing- he said.

I looked at him and kissed him.

-You know what? Me too. I should encourage you to go to her and to your child but... I am so selfish- I said sighing.

-I don't want to give up all of this- he said -But I can't leave Pepper alone with a kid either-.

-Then stay with her- I said -I am always here for you-.

-I love you Nat, I think I never told you. I do since the first time I saw you in that cell- he said caressing my hair.

-I love you too- I said kissing him.
