Nat's POV

-Here there is your meal, assassin- a woman said throwing a green thing in my plate: it was a kind of soup but I didn't want to know what it really was.

-Good morning to you too Katy- I said sarcastic.

I went to sit on the same chair at the same table like I have always done since 5 years.

I ate in silence, all people's eyes on me. We were all criminals there but it seemed that I was on another level, the most dangerous one and even the other criminals were scared of me.

After lunch I went outside with the other women: we were allowed to stay outside, in the "garden" only for one hour each day.

I stood against the wall all the time, simply enjoying the fresh air and the shy warm sun that was the only thing that could warm me since I wasn't allowed to have a coat like everyone else.

Why? Because I hit a policeman the day before because he was insulting me. I was a patient person but sometimes I lose control too.

Oh I think I forgot to tell you but you probably already have guessed; for those who still have doubts, I was living in a prison for the last 5 years.

Why? Well, I may have killed some people but it wasn't my fault, I was scared and I did it to avoid death.

Of course no one believed me, they all think I am a heartless person and convicted me to live in prison the rest of my life.

I was only 25 years old and the end was still very far. They were trying to break me but I kept fighting, for me and hoping to get my revenge one day.

A few hours later I was in my cell, stairing at the ceiling, super bored.

But I was happy, because it was almost time. I waited for that moment all the day and it had finally arrived.

All the afternoons, at the same hour everyday, someone went to meet me; who? Have you ever heard about Iron Man? Well he was the only person allowed to meet me.

It all started months before, when the prison director asked him to meet all the prisoners and create a good impression of him in front of the press.

And when he met me I totally ignored him, but somethung made him come back the following day and the following one too, until we became friends.

The door of my cell opened and a man entered: the moment had come. He was wearing his usual suit and he was holding a bag, probably with more books for me.

-Hi- I said sitting on the bed and smiling.

-Hi- he said sitting on the chair: he looked nervous, almost uncomfortable.

-Is everything ok?- I asked.

-Yes... No... Well...- he started -I talked with SHIELD director before...-.

-Oh...- I said; I hated that man with all myself, he always says people need second chances but never gave me one. He didn't even listened to what I had to say.

-Yeah... I told him what you said to me, I thought that he may have listened to me- he said -He doesn't believe you and he is sure that you say this just to be free-.

-Well I am not surprised- I said sighing.

-But he admitted that for you, who is still this young, spend all your life in prison is bad-.

-He put me here, I hope he didn't forget it- I said.

If he was in front of me I would have killed him for sure, I can't even explain how much I hated him.

-Yeah... We talked a lot and we made a deal: by the end of the next couple of months I will end building my new tower in New York and I am building the last floor as a special one- he said and approached -I am building that one for you-.

What? Did I hear correct?

-What? What does it mean?- I asked confused.

-You will be transferred in that floor and I'll be the only one who will have access to that floor thanks to a code. You can't leave the floor but if you need something, like food or anything, you only have to ask- he explained me -You are going to have a kitchen, a living room, a big room and bathroom, a gym and a balcony with a pool. You can have a phone and computer as well but if course they'll be highly checked-.

-Is this true? Because I swear that if this is a joke I...- I said.

-It is all true- he said smiling -So, do you accept?-.

I smiled and hugged him.

-Yes, yes I do- I said crying.

Not only he believed me but he was even giving me another chance. Yes, it was always a cage but it was defenetly better than this one.

I couldn't believe that it was happening, if that was a dream I prayed that no one would wake me up.
