2. THE JUDGMENT OF THE SPEAR
The Knight reached once again a triangular shaped room, similar to the previous ones. In the middle stood another statue that looked exactly like him, holding his hand over a heap of bones, a sword stuck slanted into it, surrounded by fire. In the other hand he held a key, it was obviously not part of the statue. The Knight walked torwards the statue and took the key without hesitation and noticed another corpse behind the statue. The Knight prepared his sword and slowly walked around the statue to face the rotten corpse but only found a small white orb, hovering over it. He kneeled infront of it to touch it and it exploded in a familiar way to be absorbed by the knight but thats not the only thing he found. A shard of an old spear, its golden surface that once shone magnificently, already faded ages ago to a dull look. He examined it for a moment and decided to take it with him, althought the knowledge for what it was once for, is long lost. The Knight stood up and decided to continue his travel, further into the tombs.
A short walk through a familiar looking corridor, leaded him to a lattice door. He tried to open it but it was locked and turned around but hesitated. He remembered the key he found and it was worth a shot. He faced the door once again and pulled the key out of his small leather bag, put the key in the lock and turned it. With a loud creak the bolt moved and the door opened and to his surprise, the Knight found himself in the first triangular shaped room again. Did he miss something? Looking confused, he walked in the center of the room to the familiar pictures on the ground. He kneeled and examined the ground once again to search any hints but found none. Suddenly, the lantern got brighter and the tomb began to shake while the top corner of the room slowly slid to both sides open, revealing a circular room with a platform, a floor switch in the middle. The Knight breathed slowly and walked towards the new room. Except the platform, there was nothing special in this room, till he looked up. The room was so high that you couldn't see the ceiling. His gaze wandered back to the platform and slowly stepped on it. He kneeled to examine the button but as soon as he touched it, it sank into the ground and the platform began to rise with a crunching sound.
The platform continued to rise, an end not in sight. It already felt like an eternity till the platform stopped and a stone doubledoor slowly opened. The first thing he noticed was the dull light and the dry air that entered the elevator shaft and after it was fully opened, it revealed the interior of an old church, the floor covered with ashes, the roof almost crumbled completely, light fell into the room through broken windows, the benches rotten and broken, some of the chandeliers laid on the ground and bent candle holders were everywhere as if once a battle raged here. Then he noticed something out of place, a heap of bones with a sword stuck in it, was in the middle of the room. He threw his torch aside and entered the church, walking towards the heap of bones. He imitated the statue and held his hands over the sword, with a loud puff the sword inflamed and the Knight felt immediately better. Something lit up in his leather bag, it was the flask he found and it refilled itself. He was astonished and asked himself if the bonfire did this? He noticed some sort of lable on the flask also, "Estus" was written on it. At least he knew what it was now and looked around, there is only one option to proceed, a door arch in the right corner that leads into the next room. There was a second arch door in the left corner but a pile of rubble is blocking it, if he had to guess, it would lead into the same room anyway.

The Knight entered slowly the rectangular room, eight pillars are divided in the space to support the already slowly crumbeling roof. A huge golden double gate on the far end, its ornaments no longer recognizable and the gold itself had a dull look. He slowly walked torwards the giant door but suddenly, a deep voice spoke. "Traitor of the church!" a huge hand grabed him from behind and brought him up to its head. It was a giant that sat besides the archway, single white strands hung from his glacial head, eye sockets hollow, his nose rotted away a long time ago, his skin was rotten aswell. He wore a long linen robe, a leather belt held it in place. The Knight struggled but could not match the strength of the giant. Something began to lit up in his leather bag and a small amount of electricity emitted from it, the giant noticed also. "Thief, give back the sanctuary of the spear of the church!" he yelled at the knight as he opened his bag and took out a tiny object. He then threw the knight across the room, landing hard on the floor and rolling a few feets till he came to a halt. He would've broken several bones if the ground wasn't covered in ashes. The Knight looked up to the giant that still grasped the tiny object he took from him, electricity surrounded him. The Knight checked his bag what it was, it took the spear fragment he found down below in the tombs. Suddenly small shadows crawled from every direction, torwards the giant. They climbed up his body and entered it. The giant tried to shake them off, without success. It threw his head back and screamed while his aura turned dark and the electricity pitch black. It looked at the knight after it stopped. "The last judge, will condemn you now, traitor of the church!" he announced while he slowly rose.
The Judicator pressed the spear fragment between his hands in a praying gesture, the amount of black electricity rose and black spears shot out of the ground in a straight line upwards, trying to impale everything on its way, towards the knight. The Knight rolled to his right in the last moment to dodge them but one spear managed to streak him on his left arm, cutting right through his plate-armor, the electricity burned through his entire body, paralyzeing him for a moment. The Judiactor slowly stepped towards him. The paralysis stopped and he seeked cover behind one of the pillars, pulling out his sword and shield. A gong sounded, four spectral archers in armor rose a few feets infront of him, aiming in his direction. The Knight brought his shield up and stumbled around the pillar to get out of their aim but the archers already shot at him. He blocked a few arrows but one hit his lower leg and another one his left shoulder before he reached the other side of the pillar. He pressed his teeth together and leaned against the pillar forgetting about the giant who backhanded him right away. The Knight flew across the room once again, hitting the other pillar with his back. He landed on his ass and grunted out of pain, spitting blood, while some ran out of his lower leg and shoulder wound. The judicator stepped infront of him, pressing the spear fragment once again between his hands in a praying gesture. Pitch black electricity surrounded the judicator and black spears shot out of the ground, impaling the knight. He fell to the ground as the spears withdrew, coughing more blood out. A pool of blood appeared under his body as he tried to pull out the flask but suddenly a gong sounded once again. The Knight looked up to the judicator, he carried a gong in his left hand, a chime in the right one. A spectral warrior with a huge battle hammer appeared aside him, slowly nearing him. "The death sentence was spoken!" the judicator announced, the warrior swung his hammer overhead as the knight tried to take a sip out of his estus-flask but to late. The world went black as the hammer connected with his head, sending him to his last rest.
