The next morning started out wonderful. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and Corbin had breakfast ready for me. Then, everything went horribly wrong.

"I think we should tell them we are mates," Corbin says right as I am about to take a bite of one of the muffins he made for me.

I throw my muffin at him, but he catches it. I glare at him and rush out of the house toward where I meet my group. I know Corbin is following me and wants to talk to me, but I can ignore him until after I train him and the rest of the group. I notice that the guys are acting weird and I cross my arms. "What's going on?"

"Where was Core last night?" One of them questions and I freeze.

"He was with you wasn't he?" Another one says. "You two are mates."

"That isn't fair because he will automatically get picked as one of the guys who win!"

All chaos breaks loose and I'm frozen.

They know. They are going to tell. I'm in danger. My family is in danger.

My body starts to shake and I growl so loud that all the guys stop talking and look at me. I see the terror in their eyes and they all start slowly backing away from me. It feels like my body is on fire, but adrenaline is coursing through me. I step toward them menacingly, but I am knocked off my feet and onto the ground. My wolf takes over and shifts into my wolf body. I don't feel the pain because my wolf is in control. She is in attack mode and if I could I would warn every member of the pack to get out of my way, but I can't. She locks eyes with some of my family and Corbin. She focuses on Corbin and he kneels down on the ground.

"My name is Corbin. I'm soulmates with Oakley. It's nice to meet you. Do you want to go on a run? You can meet my wolf too."

My wolf nods and calmly walks to the edge of the border. Shortly, Corbin's wolf comes. His wolf is bigger than mine and a dark brown. They run along the border and in the pack's land most of the day. The longer they run the more control I get back. By the time the sun is setting, I am almost in full control and she shifts back to my body before I get all the control back so it will be less painful for me. I get the t-shirt from Corbin's wolf's leg and put it on to cover my body. I also get the shorts on his other leg for Corbin before he shifts. I lean against a tree while he shifts and puts his shorts on.

"I'm sorry." Corbin says and sits beside me.

"I know," I whisper. "It isn't your fault."

"You need to eat."

"And sleep." Corbin chuckles and picks me up. "Shifting is exhausting for me."

Corbin kisses my forehead. "You'll feel better in the morning."

The next morning I wake up with Grey and Corbin sleeping beside me. I still feel tired so I roll over and go back to sleep.

I wake up again, but this time Grey is the only one in my bed and he is watching TV. "What time is it?"

Grey glances at me. "Around one," he shrugs. "I ate lunch with Corbin not too long ago. He's talking with our dad and brothers about you, but they said I needed to watch you instead of being with them."

"Thanks Grey. I'll be right back. You can keep watching TV." He nods and I head to my dad's office. I hear voices in there and open the door. Leo, Sam, Conner, Corbin, and my dad all look at me and stop talking. "What are you guys talking about?"

"We don't want a repeat of yesterday, Oakley." My dad sighs. I give him a look to further explain what he is talking about. "You are going to go away for a little while."

"What?"

"Think of it as a vacation." Sam tries to reassure me.

"Why? Where? When? By myself?" I question.

"Corbin is going with you." My dad says.

I take a step back. "You are making me leave Grey?"

"It's only for a week or two."

I shake my head. "No!"

I sit with my arms crossed and sulking in the passenger seat of Corbin's truck. "Most people would be thrilled about going on a vacation." Corbin says.

"I am!" Grey exclaims from the back seat. "How long until we get there?"

"A couple hours, buddy."
