Two days later, Sam drives me over to Corbin's pack to reunite with him. I pick my bag up from in between my feet.

"Have fun, but not too much fun," Sam says.

I roll my eyes, but smile. "I'll be back sooner or later. Tell Conner to watch Gray."

He nods. "I think they are going swimming tomorrow."

"Don't work too hard," I tell Sam. He is going to make a great Alpha.

He chuckles and gently pushes my shoulder. "Get out."

I laugh and get out of the car. I sling the bag over my shoulder and head inside Corbin's pack house. I greet his mom and tell her to not tell Corbin that I'm here. He might be able to tell that I'm here anyway, but I kind of want to surprise him. After a short conversation and lots of hugs with his mom, I make my way up to his room and sit on his bed.

It's close to midnight before Corbin opens his door and steps in with his head down. He closes his door and leans against it. I get off his bed as quietly as I can, but the springs in his bed creaks loudly. He turns around and his eyes widen. I smile and walk up to him. I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist. He sighs and melts into me.

"You are exhausted, Corbin," I whisper softly.

"Promise me that we won't leave each other again," he whispers, his voice thick with emotion.

"I promise." I lean my head back to look at him. He has dark circles underneath his brown eyes and his face just looks tired. "Will you take the day off tomorrow? You need to rest."

He nods and kisses my temple. "I'm going to take a quick shower first, okay?"

I nod. I give him another hug and then climb back on his bed. He watches me until I'm comfortable lounging on his bed and then he goes into his bathroom to shower. I text Sam and let him know that Corbin and I are reunited and about to go to bed. He responds with be good and I love you. Corbin exits the bathroom a few minutes later. He turns off all the lights and climbs into bed. We turn toward each other and he gently rubs the back of his hand against my face. I close my eyes contentedly.

"I missed you," I whisper.

His hand moves down my neck and my heart begins beating really fast. I open my eyes and he fingers the necklace that he gave me.

"The only time I take it off is right before I go to sleep." I tell him and he reaches around my neck. I lift my head up and he takes my necklace off. He leans over me to place it on his nightstand. He hovers over me and my heart beats rapidly again.

"So, how come you fought me every time I wanted to kiss you?" He whispers. He kisses each of my cheeks.

"It's my go-to reaction when I don't want things to change."

"What about now?" He asks and hovers above my lips.

"I like this change."

"Me too," he whispers causing our lips to graze each other. Our first kiss is short and sweet. He kisses my right cheek again before laying down beside me. He wraps his arm around me and whispers goodnight. We both fall asleep happy to be in each other's arms.
