The next two weeks are probably two of the best of my entire life. I know I didn't want to leave at first, but now I wish I could stay away a little bit longer.

When Corbin starts driving up to the pack house, I know something is wrong. I glance at Corbin and give him a look to play it cool because Grey is in the back. He nods and keeps driving normally.

His phone rings and he answers it. I try not to listen to their conversation because I don't want to ease drop. His face looks grim and he slows the car down. Within a couple minutes, he ends the call. He puts on a happy face and glances back at Grey.

"How do you guys feel about going to my house for a few days?" He questions.

"I've never been there!" Grey exclaims.

"Neither has your sister," Corbin replies.

"Then let's go!"

I glance at Corbin and he reaches over to hold my hand. I let him and he turns the car around to head to his pack land. He squeezes my hand to assure me that everything will be okay and I give him a small smile.

I don't know what's going on and I'm nervous. Something isn't right and this probably isn't the best circumstances for me to meet his parents for the first time. It takes us an hour and a half to get to his pack land. When Corbin parks, he leads Grey and I into the pack house.

"Corbin!" A woman exclaims and hugs him joyfully. They look a lot alike so I assume she is his mom.

"Hey mom." He greets and sighs happily. I smile sadly at the two of them.

She finally pulls away from him and glances at Grey and I. "Now who are these two beautiful souls?" She grins.

"This is my mate, Oakley, and her brother, Grey."

"You are gorgeous dear!" She exclaims and embraces me. I'm completely surprised and I hug her back. She has a lot of strength for a human. "I'm so glad I won't be the only girl around here for long." I smile hesitantly back.

I don't know if she knows that I'm a werewolf or not.

"Let me see this handsome boy behind you!" She says and reaches for Grey.

My motherly instincts kick in as he clings to my legs.

"I've got some snacks. Are you hungry?" She says gently.

I rub his back comfortingly. "Why don't you go get some food with Corbin's mom? I've got to talk to a couple people and I'll be right back. Okay?"

He nods and shuffles over to his mom. Corbin takes my hand and leads me to his dad's office. His dad looks up when we walk in and immediately stares at me. "Who's this?"

"Oakley, my mate, I told you about her." Corbin replies.

He stares at me for another minute and then his eyes widen. "She's the last...?"

I nod. "I thought everyone in the werewolf community knew who I was."

His dad shakes his head. "Your dad has been good at hiding you and your secret."

"Have you learned anything else?" Corbin questions. "And start from the beginning, I couldn't tell her anything at the time."

His dad nods. "Your pack has split up. Your brother took over as Alpha and forced your dad and anyone on his side to leave. Your dad and other brothers are seeking refuge at a few different packs including mine. Most of the guys that were there for the competition went back to their own packs. Your brother has given orders to kill anyone who enters his land. Your dad was beat up and we are trying to figure what pack he is staying at."

I shake my head and sit down. I hold my head in my hands and Corbin kneels in front of me. He puts a hand on my knee. "We will find him and your brothers." I don't move. I feel as if the room is spinning. "I'll talk to you later, dad."

Corbin picks me up and carries me out of his dad's office. "I think I'm going to be sick," I mumble.

"It's going to bad if you vomit because then I'll vomit." He grimaces.

I relax into him and gently hold on to his shirt. "I feel better like this," I whisper with my eyes closed.

He kisses the top of my head. "Is it okay if I take you to my room?" I nod. When he gets to his room, we sit on his bed and he glances at his phone when it dings. "Your brother is taking a nap on the couch so you have time to rest." I nod and snuggle into him.

"I don't need anything else to worry about."
