Eighteen: Corbin

"Corbin," Gray says sternly and marches toward me as I straighten my tuxedo to perfection.

I turn to him with a raised eyebrow. "Yes?"

"Sit down," he commands and points to the closest chair. I do as he says, mostly because I have no clue what he is doing. He stands right in front of me with our knees touching and we are eye level. "Listen here, mister. You better not take my sister away from me. You better treat her right and never make her cry." As he lists the things I should do, he counts them on his fingers. "And you have to cook for her because she isn't a good cook." He thinks in concentration. "There was something else."

I open my mouth to say something, but he shushes me.

"It isn't your turn to talk. You better not make her angry because she shifts when she gets angry. Now I want to make a deal with you."

"What's the deal?" I question.

"You can marry my sister if I get to spend the night whenever Oakley says I can."

"Deal," I grin and stick my hand toward him. He shakes my hand firmly and runs toward the door.

"Come on! You can't be late for your own wedding! Plus, I'm the most important part of the wedding." He grins goofily at me. He really is important for the wedding. Oakley put him in charge of the rings. I take a deep breath and stand up from the chair. Time to get married.

My gorgeous Oakley walks toward me in an off the shoulder, solid white, long sleeve dress. She pushes her curled hair behind her ear as she laughs at me. Yes, my jaw definitely dropped when I first saw her. When I finally remove my eyes from her, it is when her dad hands her off to me. He has tears in his eyes, but he smiles at me and whispers in my ear to take care of his little girl.

The ceremony goes on smoothly and Gray didn't lose the rings thankfully. After the ceremony is supposed to be the reception where people eat and socialize with each other, but truthfully I couldn't care less about who's here and wants to talk to me. I just want to spend time with my wife.

"Are you going to stare at me a lot now that we are married?" Oakley questions as she eats bite sized chocolate covered bananas.

"I can't help it. You are too gorgeous not to look at." She rolls her eyes. "It wouldn't be so weird if we were alone."

She snickers and raises an eyebrow. "Corbin, you sound creepy."

"Congratulations!" My mom exclaims as she comes over to us.

I wake up in the middle of the night and roll over. I move my arm around to find Oakley beside me, but I don't feel her. I open my eyes and sit up in a panic. I sigh when I see her sitting in the chair with the sliding glass door open. Her hair blows slightly as the cool breeze enters the room. She sleepily moves her head toward me and smiles.

"I love this," she whispers with her eyes closed.

I stand up from the bed and stand in front of her. "Do you want to go lay in the sand? We could stay out there and watch the sunrise?"

She opens her eyes and giggles. "In your underwear?"

"These are my pajamas and just so you know, these are my best pair." I grin and strike poses to show off.

She shakes her head and stands up. "Will you grab a blanket?"

I turn around a tug the one off our bed in one try and roll it up quickly so it's easier to carry. I turn back around and Oakley shrugs.

"I meant a blanket that wasn't on the bed, but that works too I guess." She says and begins to walk out the door. My eyes wander down to the bottom of my shirt that she is wearing.

"You aren't wearing pants, are you?"

"The best pants are no pants!" She shouts and runs toward the water with a fist in the air.

After taking a quick dip in the ocean, we lie down on the blanket that I had previously spread out. I wrap an arm around her and she cuddles into me.

"I love you," I whisper.

"I love you too." She says and gently kisses me.
