Jinx watched and listened from the Forces's base on the planet Hiems to the battle. Shekira, Errine, and five other fighters were already on their way to steal the plans. The diversion the assault crafts and army were creating was hopefully enough to give the covert group enough time to get in and get out. What concerned him were the umaroi's massive blaster cannons, that were hopefully still under construction: otherwise, they would have to evacuate the base and the covert squad would have to find their own way out.

    That hope was crushed when the booming thunder of two blaster fires rattled the shielded rooftops of the aboveground part of the base.

    "Sir, the blaster canons are operational, what is our next move?" a receiver asked.

    "Evacuate the base, retreat the army, and have the fighter pilots take off, this is a war we cannot win," Lieutenant Oron ordered. "Jinx, alert the covert squad."

    Jinx tapped his earpiece with his finger and called to Shekira, "We are evacuating the base, hurry up!"

    "We are almost to the enemy archives, just leave a small cargo ship for us and we'll be back," Shekira responded quietly.

    "Please, take care," Jinx pleaded, biting his lip.
