Snow White The Magician
(I'm sorry this chapter was missing for so long because I was on such a long hiatus I didn't even notice 😱) sorry... it's a short chapter
Zac pulled out his rapier as the men readied their weapons prepared for the quick battle ahead. They looked at him jeering as if he was weak and his sword was nothing but a toothpick. He let himself smile a little and felt the thrill of the upcoming fight seep in his blood. The travel to Zett had been unpleasant and he had never expected them to give themselves up. In fact, he had counted on them not doing so.
"A pretty kitty and a snow elf right from a bedtime story! This is going to make us rich..."
Before the man could finish Zac lurched himself towards him in a silver and black blur. He swiped the rapier above the humans head who ducked in reflex and Zac used the opportunity to kick him in the face. He quickly turned himself around not giving the man with the broadsword a chance to turn and kicked him in the back, forcing him to his knees. Before the swordsman could get up, Zac moved to render him defenseless but was much too slow as his other opponents were now swinging at him giving the swordsman time to breathe.
"Do you need any help boss?" A large pillar asked not far away. Zac took a quick glance and saw that he was holding a stunned looking fauna girl who looked like she had just been hit. Anger surged in him but he had to quickly turn back around and deflect a mace that had managed to swing inches from his neck.
"No, he's only got a rapier!" The man with the hideous scar and dagger laughed.
Zac growled and threw the blade down. He had never been insulted for this weapon before, but then again in Elldieon raipers were the more common form of a blade, the gentleman or gentlewomen's weapon it was perfected to be an art. But against a giant slab of iron, this cutthroat called a weapon, a mace and a short dagger it seemed like a waste of swordsmanship, and now there was a damsel in distress. He really didn't have time to fight them the fun way.
"Do you surrender?" Scarface began laughing wiping the sweat off his face with his arm.
Glaring Zac raised his hands above his head. Normally he would have continued fighting but now there was that woman in the corner biting the hell out of that giant's arm and cursing up a storm.
Under normal circumstances, you would be passed out from blood loss in a couple of minutes. Zac thought to himself with a very ungentlemanly image in his head of crimson ribbons and pools of blood on the sidewalk. He calmed himself down. The blood lust was not a very good thing to have, It made you careless.
"Let go you disgusting lunatic!" He heard the yell and saw the girl throwing her weight around in the attempt to break free of the giant's grasp. He caught a strange tattoo' ed arm of dragons and mermaids fighting and squinted to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.
(I've seen some weird tattoos but what the hell is that?)
"Let the girl go, she doesn't have anything to do with this." He said nobly and felt uncomfortable about how cliche it actually sounded. He sounded like one of those horrible theatrical characters he was forced to watch at the Caucille theatre. He hated the theatre and this just fulled his anger.
She broke free after kneeing the giant's gentle parts, but with the alleyway blocked she ran into Zac instead.
The wind was knocked out of him and to his surprised she had a dagger in on hand. Not sure anymore if he was rescuing her or it was the other way around he found himself distracted and looking at the fauna girl as a couple of the thugs laughed at the fallen giant and at the girl for raising a weapon against them.
He only found himself looking at the girl curiously.
She was a fauna with the feline looking attributes but with startling blue-green eyes he wouldn't have expected. The eyes looked like determination hiding fear. Her skin was a dark tan color that looked kissed by sunlight and her hair and fur were a peachy-reddish color.
She looked right back at him with an odd expression.
"What do we do?" She whispered.
Zac sighed and cursed to himself. He looked at her with a glare and grabbed her by the waist. So much for getting any answers today.
"Now wait for just a minute here! " She complained angrily misunderstanding.
Zac reached in his pocket and pulled out a red gem.
"Hold on ...whatever you do don't move." He told her softly. Softly because he didn't want her to jolt in fear and cause him to drop the gem with his other hand. He focused on the destination and whispered a single word.
As one of the men was about to ram into zac with his muscular shoulder they vanished into thin air and the human found himself ramming straight for the ground instead.
