17. Well, Crap. Now Everyone's Terrified

Gamora POV

We needed to find Nebula. She was a danger to herself and everyone near her.

Not to mention every bounty hunter in the universe was after her sorry butt.

Let's just say she manipulated a space-moose into telling her some vital information that could change the future of Zandar forever if released to the public. My sister was being an idiot who didnt know what the hell she was doing.

As we trudged along with these so-called Avengers, we eventually arrived on Ellis Island.

The museum wasn't anything like I had expected it to be like. The entrance was quite small and empty with little detail and decoration. To the right, a spiral staircase led to another floor, but I couldn't imagine why they'd need another room for all of this crap.

The Earth's protectors led us to a huge opening next to the staircase. Suddenly, a warm, sweet smell entered my nose.

"Bread," Peter Quill grasped my hand and sniffed the air excitedly. "Human bread."

This room was huge and full of all sorts of human food. Peter ran up to the counter, dragging me along with him.

"How much money for one of everything?" Peter demanded the man behind the counter, who seemed to be taking someone's order already.

"A lot," the cashier said, blinking awkwardly.

"Peter," I softly spoke. "Nebula first. Food later."

He sighed disappointedly, but didnt move away from the counter.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" An all too familiar voice screamed from the room nearest to us.

"Nebula!" I cried. I let go of Peter's hand and ran to the loud noises coming from a room full of tables, and was suddenly face to face with my sister.

"Gamora," she said, no emotion lacing her tone of voice. "I wasn't expecting you."

"We need to take you to Zandar," I announced. "We can get you a pardon. Please, Nebula. Once we've gone we can return you. We have to return you. There are some people who've--"

I was pushed out of the way before I could finish my sentence. Suddenly, Tony Stark had punched her in the face.

"Hey!" I screeched. "Stop!"

I stood up and was about to throw a punch myself, but Steve Rogers and Dr. Strange pulled him away. The possessed one, Peter Parker, walked up to her.

"These people want you alive," he stated. "And, sadly, it seems Thanos will allow it. He has a soft spot for you."

"Thanos?" I got into fighting position again. "You guys work for him?"

"Hell no," Tony blurted, still in the clutches of his friends. "Just the evil spirit who's possessing that guy. He has our other friend held hostage."

"What?" Nebula hissed.

"The one you killed?" Tony sneered at my sister. "Remember her? Alex Shmood? He has her."

"She's dead," Nebula insisted.

"Well, she's back," Percy stated. "It happens sometimes. Sorry to disappoint you."

"You don't understand, Perseus Jackson," Nebula stormed toward his direction, startling him. "Yes, I know who you are. And that girl... She's is invisible. Droid, gun, or any other form of destruction cannot pierce her skin. She will crush you, whether its her choice or not. She will crush you all. If she truly isn't dead, you need to be hiding. Everyone you care about is as good as gone. Including your girlfriend."

That last sentence did it. Percy's death stare morphed into one of concern and fear.

"Heed my warning, son of Poseidon," Nebula continued, a scowl etched on her face. "She's coming, and there's nothing stopping her once she's here."

Percy Jackson POV

Everyone was in danger.

And I mean everyone. Including the seven.

If Alex was as dangerous as Nebula said, all my friends are dead. And its my fault.

Earlier that day, while the Agents were signing autographs, I slipped away from the crowd and contacted Camp Half Blood. I thought it was best, since eidolons were involved in this situation and were possessing people. I told the seven to come to New York immediately.

Now that I knew my mistake, I regretted every second with these stupid superheroes. If I had not killed the minotaur by drowning him while he was attacking Alex, my friends wouldn't be caught up in this mess. I should've just let the Fates choose Alex's destiny and not messed with her life.

Good gods, I'm starting to sound like an evil villain.

"Guys," I turned to the Avengers. "There's a problem."

"Yah?" Bruce Banner raced an eyebrow.

"Its not just you guys who are in danger," I said, staring at my shoes.

"Who else could possibly be targeted?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Every demigod in my camp," I looked up for their reactions. "Maybe even the one at another camp."

"How many is that?" Bruce squeaked, obviously terrified.

"Thee hundred. Maybe four hundred," I winced when the words left my mouth. My entire family was in danger, and I had to protect them. "Most of them are between the ages of seven and eighteen."

"Oh, god," Steve muttered.

My eyes became wet with tears as I began to say words I never thought would be necessary to say. "Help me. Help me protect my family."

Then, Peter face planted on the ground.

A/N

Ever heard of Adam Warlock? This is just another one of my Marvel predictions that I'm sure will happen. He's got super energy powers, can fly, travels at the speed of light, and has super strength and healing abilities. He's like Superman! He also almost defeats Thanos in the comics.

Yes, I did just explain who Adam from the after-the-credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is. This'll be exciting!

See you next week when more crap happens, nerds! (Being a nerd is a good thing, I swear. *stuffs chocolate in face as Sherlock season three begins for the fifth time this week.*)

Is there anything I can do to improve my writing skills?

I TAKE CRITICISM GLADLY! (Constructive criticism, that is.)
