Indra learns the truth

Akileshwar and his group walked to the main temple of Amravati. It was dedicated to the holy trinity, Shiva Vishnu and Brahma.

They reached the temple and Airawat stepped forward. The was a single pillar that rose halfway up from the ground. Airawat placed his hands on the pillar and then closed his eyes.

He muttered some distorted words. Probably a chant, guessed Akileshwar.

After finishing, Airawat stepped away from the pillar as it started glowing blue. It vibrated dangerously as the blue glow spread throughout the room, touching anything solid. The light consumed everyone's vision as they felt themselves leaving Dhyavaprithvi.

When Akileshwar opened his eyes he noticed he was near Mt. Vindhyachaja. Everything was same as it was in Dhyavaprithvi. Sunny and bright.

'Ah, Akil. Took you long enough' Said a voice. Akileshwar turned around to see a man leaning against a tree. He had jet-black hair that was tied in a bun. He wore a purple Angavastram and orange dhoti.

'Indra' said Akileshwar through gritted teeth. Though Indra had never introduced himself, Akileshwar felt as though he was Indra.

'Now that's not a great way to welcome the king of the gods' Indra fake-mocked.

'My lord this isn't you. The Mandalayu has you under it's control' Said Airawat before Akileshwar could come back with a retort.

Indra was surprised to see Airawat there. Much less him revealing the truth. Nevertheless, he smiled. He would just have to take all of them.

'Mandalayu, Airawat? And you think I'm the one who has lost his mind. I thought you had pledged loyalty to me. This is not loyalty' Smirked Indra. Akileshwar started to fume silently at his haughty attitude. He was started to irritate him.

'Loyalty to my motherland is more important than my lord. You must protect your country rather than your own self interests' Said Indra determinedly. He put on a brave face and puffed out his chest slightly. He would die for India!

Indra's attitude faded, replaced by anger. No one understood.

'You don't understand, Airawat! None of you do! The so called holy trinity are in control of our lives. They have pre-planned everything in our lives! We need to create our own paths! The triad gives us our paths that we should follow. Aren't we all allowed to be good? No. According to them, some people have to be evil. And that's bullshit' Spat Indra. One's life must be in one's own hands.

'No. Your wrong' Said Akileshwar so softly almost no one could catch it. Everyone turned in shock to Akileshwar. The group was beginning to be convinced. But they did not know of Akileshwar's chat with Paramatma.

'Good and bad is needed' He said, looking up at Indra who had moved into a fighting stance, his sword having been drawn.

'So your saying no one should be perfect? That people should be evil too?!' He shouted at Akileshwar, who remained a calm face. He knew it was hard to understand. But to understand was to digest. And digesting took a while. Patience.

'Yes. But that's where your wrong. No one can be perfect' He said simply.

This time Indra was the one who was confused. His sword lowered as he moved to a standing posture.

'Indra. Good and bad need each other. Without one, the other cannot function' Said Akileshwar, repeating what Paramatma had told him.

'Without evil, good will not realize it's mistake. Without good, evil will make a mistake. They are yin and yang. Together, they create the one thing most needed. Even more that perfection. Balance' Akileshwar quoted. Indra's sword lowered even more. He hesitated. What Akileshwar had said really got to him. He was starting to regain his senses.

'Balance cannot be ensured, though' Said Indra, his voice now soft. It was like he was trying not to believe it rather than not believing it on his own.

'That's why the gods are there. And your Dharma. Your Dharma ensures you have the right path. The gods make you choose the right path. There are several tributaries to the right path. One wrong step will lead to a different situation. I am sorry to say, but what you believe is wrong'

Indra was shocked. He thought his belief had made complete sense. But now his whole perspective of Dharma, good and evil had changed.

Silence descended upon them, Akileshwar and his group waiting for Indra's response.

Finally, he sighed.

'Your right' Said Indra. Suddenly, as though those two words were the strongest words in the universe, Indra felt as though a giant weight was lifted in his shoulder. It was as though he had finally relaxed.

Akileshwar and the group smiled as Indra returned it sadly.

'I understand your ambition now. But your asking to do the impossible. You cannot destroy the Mandalayu with normal weapons. It should be your Paramashakti and something else'

'What is that?'

'The sword of Shakti'

Kali slammed her hands onto the table in front of her. Somehow, Akileshwar and his group had turned Indra. And he knew how to destroy the Mandalayu.

'They must be after the sword. Send an army after them. Under no circumstances are they to leave Martyaprithvi!'

'How do we get the sword?' Asked Akileshwar.

'I do not know. It belongs to.. -'

'To who?'

Indra turned to Akileshwar.

'Paramatma's wife'
