A Trip Home (After a Grimm Warning)
(This chapter is pretty boring but it's just about what happened after Bree and Emmerich got home and what Conner was doing at the time. Enjoy and Like and Comment!!) Disneylove8😁😆
Bree and Emmerich flew through a world of light and after a few seconds, they spotted something at the end of the tunnel. They soon landed in the middle of a women's restroom and they had no idea where in the world they were. They both stood up and looked around and then they looked at each other and laughed.
"Oh my goodness, did what I think happen just happen? Or was it all a dream?" Emmerich asked.
"I know right! What the hell just happened?!" Bree said with the biggest smile on her face. She then sat on the sink countertop and took her beanie off her head. "Did we really just travel into a fairytale world, filled with people we have only read about in storybooks and witness an actual war?!"
"I think we did Bree." Emmerich said. They both screamed and laughed which echoed off of the bathroom walls.
"OMG, THAT WAS AWESOME!" Bree said. "We actually shouldn't be smiling this much, we just watched people die!"
"IT WAS! AND WE REALLY SHOULDN'T BE!" Emmerich said and tried not to smile.
Soon someone came into the bathroom and she was wearing a fancy black and red waitress outfit with a vest and a tie and in her dark brown hair was a tiny red hat.
"Is everything all right in here?" She asked
"Yes, everything is perfectly fine," Bree said and got off the countertop and put her beanie back on.
"Sir you are not allowed in here as this is the Ladies room." She said and pointed to Emmerich.
"Oh, I'm sorry madam. See he's my brother and my mother wanted me to watch him. Last time I let him out of my sight we found him a day later in some old lady's house playing cards." Bree said.
"Oh, ok." The woman said and loosened her tie. "Well if you've done your business I'll escort you back to your mother."
Bree and Emmerich nodded and once they stepped foot outside the bathroom they saw where they were. They were in the middle of a casino. There were card tables and slot machines everywhere and a bar in the back.
"Where are we, Bree?" Emmerich whispered.
"I think we're in Las Vegas," Bree said. "I'm not surprised the portal took us here. Mother Goose must spend a lot of her time here."
"How are we going to get home?" Emmerich whispered to Bree.
"So where is your mother?" The women asked
"She just texted me. She said to meet her at a local cafe." Bree said. "Is there one nearby?"
"Yes, there's one down the street. Get out of the casino and take a right. You can't miss it." The woman said.
"Thank you," Bree said and she grabbed Emmerich's hand and they ran out of the casino. They ran down the street to the nearby cafe and walked in. "Do you want anything?"
"I could eat something." Emmerich said. They got in line and Bree ordered 2 hot chocolates and 2 turkey sandwiches. Bree and Emmerich went and sat at an empty table in the corner of the cafe. Bree then realized she didn't have her charger for her phone because her bag was still in that hotel in Europe.
"This sandwich is the best thing I've ever tasted," Emmerich said as he took a big bite of his sandwich.
"It's definitely going to taste good after barley eating for weeks," Bree said and laughed. "One second Emmerich, I'm going to go ask someone if they have a charger."
Bree got up and walked up to the front counter and the young waitress behind the counter lent her her charger and Bree walked back over to the table. Bree plugged in the cord and plugged it into her phone.
"Let's wait for my phone to charge, and then I'll call my mom. Which I am dreading."
"Me too," Emmerich said.
"So, which person shocked you the most?"
Bree asked.
"The frogman and the French soldiers," Emmerich said. "The frogman was probably the nicest thing or person I have ever met though."
"Me too. But I can't stop thinking about Bo-peep and how she died from a broken heart." Bree said. "That dumb man! All she wanted was to help him and he killed her."
"Yeah, I don't think I'll ever forget her. She was definitely amazing. I can't believe Red hated her that much."
"Yeah me too. But Red sure was...interesting." Bree said and tried not to laugh. "The Charming Brothers and the Queens were amazing. Some of the nicest people I have ever met and their daughters were the sweetest. Definitely sweeter than my sisters. Plus Goldilocks and Jack were so awesome and that was nice of them to teach us some moves. This is definitely a trip I will never forget."
"Do you think we'll ever go back?" Emmerich asked.
"I hope so," Bree said. Her phone then went off. A million and a half text messages lit up her phone. They were from her friends, parents, sisters and other family members. Bree then looked at her map on her phone and her suspicion was confirmed. They were in Las Vegas Nevada.
"Are all those texts from your family?"
"Yeah," Bree said and scrolled through her phone. "Guess it's time to make the call."
Back in Willow Crest California, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were pacing up and down their living room waiting for a call from the police.
"Anything yet?" Mrs. Campbell asked.
"No nothing." Mr. Campbell said and looked at his phone.
"Oh, Edward! What if something happened. What if this wasn't just Bree running off. What if they did get kidnapped?" Mrs. Campbell said through tears. "Are we ever going to see our girl again?"
"Of course we will. We just have to hope and pray they're all right." Mr. Campbell said and hugged his wife tightly as she cried into his shoulder. There was then a knock on the door. Mrs. Campbell rushed to the door and opened it. It was Charlotte and Bob.
"Did you guys hear anything yet?" Charlotte said and walked in with Bob.
"No nothing yet. This is ridiculous. How have the police not found anything yet?" Mrs. Campbell said and wiped her tears with her sleeve.
"I'm not sure, but I know after this Conner is in huge trouble and I'm getting a tracking device," Charlotte said.
"How about getting your kid a phone?!" Mrs. Campbell said. "We'd have double the chance to track them!"
"I know, I know," Charlotte said and sat on one of their barstools in the kitchen.
"Guys we just have to wait and see. Maybe the cops will call today." Bob said. Just then Mrs. Campbell's phone rang. "Or maybe right now."
Mrs. Campbell grabbed her phone from the living room and she screamed.
"It's Bree!" She yelled and everyone ran over to her and huddled around her. She answered the phone and put it on speaker. "Baby?"
"Mom?" Bree said over the phone.
"Oh my God! Bree are you alright?" Mrs. Campbell said through tears of happiness.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." She said.
"Where are you?" Mr. Campbell asked.
"Um, Las Vegas," Bree said.
"LAS VEGAS?!" The parents yelled.
"Yeah, it's a long story," Bree said. "Could you buy us tickets back home?"
"Sure, I'm just glad you're ok." Mrs. Campbell said. "I'm going to call the airport right now, and send you money for an Uber to the airport."
"Great, thanks, mom," Bree said.
"Bree, this is Charlotte, can I speak to Conner?" Charlotte asked.
Bree then hung up the phone.
"What happened?" Charlotte asked.
"The call must have dropped. Listen you'll talk to your son when they get here. I'm calling the airport now." Mrs. Campbell said and starting looking up the phone numbers and Mr. Campbell sent money to Bree's phone to pay for an Uber.
Back in Las Vegas, Bree and Emmerich waited outside the cafe and waited for their Uber.
"Why did you hang up when Conners mom asked about Conner?" Emmerich asked.
"I didn't want to explain to her why he wasn't with me in front of my parents. What did your mom say when you called her?" Bree asked.
"She was very upset, I could barely hear her through all the crying. She said she was going to call the airport and buy my ticket and fax them over a picture of my passport." Emmerich said.
The Uber then pulled up the front of the cafe. After Bree checked that it was the right car they hopped in and the driver took them to the airport. They soon arrived to the airport, and they ran inside and to the front desk. They went to a woman who was working on her computer and she had black straight hair and was wearing a blue uniform.
"Can I help you?" She asked them.
"Yes, my parents bought me a ticket over the phone. My name is Bree Campbell."
"Oh yes, I talked to your parents just a couple of minutes ago. Can I have your ID?"
Bree took out her wallet from her back pocket and took out her ID and gave it to the lady. The lady searched on her computer and printed out Bree's ticket.
"Here you go, and you must be Conner Bailey." She said the Emmerich.
"No, I'm Emmerich Himmelsbach. My mom called for my ticket and sent over a picture of my passport."
"My friend Conner isn't with us. He's staying here in Vegas with his Grandmother," Bree said. "So we won't be needing that ticket. If we could return it."
"Of course." The woman said and started the return of the ticket on her computer.
A man who was a few computers down then came over to the lady that was helping them. He wore the same uniform as the lady and had brown hair that stuck straight up and small green eyes.
"Emmerich Himmelsbach?" He said. "I just talked to your mom. I handle international flights, please come to my desk."
Emmerich walked over to the man's station to get his ticket. After he got his ticket and Bree and Emmerich got through security, Bree walked Emmerich over to his gate.
"Now boarding flight 315 to Hohenschwangau Germany." A woman said through the intercom system.
"Looks like this is it," Bree said.
"I know we just met, but I'm really going to miss you, Bree," Emmerich said getting teary-eyed.
"Me too Emmerich," Bree said and gave him a tight hug.
"Will we ever see each other again?"
"I hope so. Maybe I can ask my mom if we can go to visit for vacation sometime." Bree said.
"Do you think we'll ever go back to, you know there again?"
"I have a very strong feeling we will. You better get going. You don't want to miss your plane." Bree said. "Remember to call."
"I will, you too!" Emmerich said and smiled. "Goodbye, Bree."
"Goodbye Emmerich," Bree said and gave him another hug. Emmerich then went over to the desk and one of the flight attendants accompanied him into the plane. Before he walked in, he turned back and waved to Bree. Bree smiled and waved back and Emmerich walked in.
Bree then walked all the way across the airport to her gate. She walked over to a coffee shop and got a quick cup of coffee and sat in an uncomfortable black chair and waited for boarding. Bree put in one of her earbuds and closed her eyes. She visualized all the places she had seen and the people she had met. She imagined what her life would be like if she lived in the Fairytale World like Alex and Conner. She then started to think if she maybe had a relative from the Fairytale World and how crazy and amazing it would be.
"Now Boarding flight 567 to Willow Creek California." A man said on the intercom.
Bree got up from her chair and boarded the plane. The rest of the flight, Bree took one of the best naps of her life as she had not slept in weeks. Once the plane landed in Willow Creek, Bree got off the plane and her mother texted her to meet them at Baggage Claim. Bree put her earbuds into her ears and rubbed her eyes as she was still exhausted. She walked over to the escalator, and as it went down her parents and Conners's parents came into view as they waited by the entrance.
As Bree came into view of the parents, Bree's mom started to get teary-eyed.
"Oh thank God she's still in one piece." Mrs. Campbell said. "But she's so dead."
"Charlotte, where's Conner?" Bob asked his wife.
"I don't know," Charlotte said.
Bree walked over to them and the parents walked to her. Bree's parents grabbed Bree and hugged her tightly.
"Oh my God Bree! What were you thinking?!" Mrs. Campbell yelled and it echoed throughout the airport. "You could have been hurt, or kidnapped! This was a very dumb stunt you pulled."
"You will be grounded for a very long time, young lady." Mr. Campbell said.
"I understand." Was all Bree could say.
"Bree, I'm very scared to ask this question, but where's my son?" Charlotte asked.
Bree looked at Charlotte for a few seconds as she thought of what she was going to say.
"Um, he's with Alex." Bree finally said. Charlottes eyes went wide and put her hands over her mouth in shock and screamed.
"WHAT?!"
"Are you sure he's with Alex?" Bob asked.
"Oh yes. He 100% is." Bree said and then looked to the floor and smiled at the memory of the Fairytale World.
"Did you guys go to Vermont?" Charlotte asked. Bree, without giving anything away to her parents looked at Charlotte and smiled and gave a slight nod. That gave Charlotte her answer.
"Bob lets go home...so I can yell at Conner," Charlotte said and dragged Bob out of the airport.
"Bree, did you go to Vermont?" Mr. Campbell said.
"No Conner did. He went back to Vermont to visit his sister and his grandma. He got a call from his sister that his grandma wasn't doing well and he wanted to go see her. She paid for our tickets back to America. The flight here had technical difficulties and had to stop in Las Vegas. That's why I was there." Bree explained.
"Well, I'm just glad you're safe. Let's go home, Bree. So I can yell at you more in private." Mrs. Campbell said.
The Campbells got in their car and drove back to their house. When they arrived, Mrs. and Mr. Campbell then sat their daughter down on the couch and continued to yell at her. After her parent's very loud scolding, Bree went up to her room and sat on her bed. She sighed and flopped down on her bed. She looked up at the ceiling and smiled, she then sat up and looked out her window at the starry night sky. The stars in Willow Creek weren't as bright as the ones in the Fairytale World. She got out her laptop, as that was the only piece of technology that wasn't taken from her and started to write a story based on her adventures. It was about a girl and a boy she secretly liked, and their adventure around Europe and trying to prevent a war against a 200-year-old Army from attacking a world full of Fairytales. Bree's mind then drifted off and thought of what she would be doing right now if she was back in the Fairytale World. Even though she didn't know when she would be back in the Fairytale world, she knew her adventures in the Fairytale World was far from over.
Back in the Fairytale World, Conner Bailey leaned against the railing of the grand balcony. He thought of what his sister just said to him. How could his father be alive? It was impossible. He remembered going to the hospital and saying goodbye to him. Maybe his sister was going insane. Their grandma did just die and they did just fight a 200-year-old Army. So it was a possibility that his sister was just seeing things because of her exhaustion.
Red and Froggy who were still staying at the palace came out and joined Conner on the balcony.
"How are you doing?" Froggy asked.
"As well as I can be," Conner said and rubbed his eyes.
"Do you really think Alex saw your deceased father?" Froggy asked.
"I hate saying that my sister is crazy, but it's impossible," Conner said. "So anyways, when are you guys moving back home? You must be anxious to get back to your old lives."
"I'm almost don't packing all my things. We should be back and ruling over the kingdom by tomorrow afternoon." Red said.
"That's great guys," Conner said. Red then moved closer to Conner.
"So, what's your relationship with that blonde girl in the purple hat? Are you two dating?" Red asked.
"What, no. She's just a good friend." Conner said and tried not to blush at the thought of Bree.
"Don't think I didn't see you get a little bit red right there," Red said. "You do like her! Charlie, Conner has a crush! I knew it."
"Fine I may have a crush on her, but I don't think it will ever happen."
"Why don't you think so?" Froggy asked.
"Look at my life. It's insane. I feel awful that I have exposed her and Emmerich to all this craziness. They could have been seriously hurt." Conner said. "I doubt I'll ever be in a relationship. Not with my life."
"Oh Conner I doubt that. Look at Jack and Goldilocks. Jack through his entire life away to be a thief instead of a king of an entire kingdom with me, just to be with Goldilocks." Red said. "Look at me, I'm the best example of all. I have accepted Charlie's appearances and way of life, even if he does look like...that."
"Conner Reds right. I'm sure someone will come along and accept your crazy life and I think you've already found her." Froggy said.
"Yes, I think you have," Red said and gave Conner a pat on the back. "Well, I better get some rest. Big day tomorrow."
"Goodnight Red," Conner said and Red left the balcony.
"You should get some sleep too. It's been a long week." Froggy said. "Let me just leave you with this thought. You know you've found the one when they are willing to head into the unknown with you."
Froggy patted Conner on the back and walked back to his room. Conner looked at the bright starry sky and smiled. Maybe he had found the one.
