The Hunt Begins
"You have a twin sister?!" Sophie's friends said, as she told them at lunch at Hero's house.
"Yup." Sophie said.
"That's explains the visions. I mean everyone knows that visions are something that twins share." Ally said. Everyone looked at her confused. "What? Am I the only one who knows that."
"Your mom and my dad don't share visions." Sophie said.
"Well...it must be a rare trait. What, it's not everyday you find out your cousin has a built in best friend. Your lucky I've always wanted a twin." Ally said and took a bite of her sandwich.
"We now have a new person in our little friend group, this is exciting!" Ruby said.
"Ruby we haven't found her yet." Hero said. "Our parents are working on it now."
"What? I didn't know that. Why aren't we there let's go." Sophie said.
"Sophie, there's a reason why we aren't there. They want us safe, because we're known to venture off on our own. Remember, the last time we tried to save this world you got hurt and we didn't see you for six years. Things happen when we get involved, so let's leave it to them." Hero said.
"And that's coming from a guy who's name is Hero." Sophie said.
"She is right." Ally said.
"She's my sister, and she could be hurt. Let's go save her, how hard can it be? You saved my friends, Cody and I from those men in Morina's cottage, how hard can this be? You are a great fighter, and Ally and I have magic."
"What about me?" Ruby asked.
"Your a good, lookout." Sophie said and smiled.
"Wow thanks." Ruby said.
"That's not what I meant Ruby, your very helpful." Sophie said.
"So are we going on another adventure?" Ally asked excitedly.
"I guess so." Hero said. They all high fived each other and ran out of the house.
"Wait, where's Cody?" Ruby asked.
"I guess with my parents. I think they took him because he hasn't caused any trouble yet." Sophie said.
In the Fairy Palace Bree and Conner called the entire Fairy Council for a meeting, including Red, Froggy, Jack, Goldilocks, and Alex, and Arthur. In the library Cody was reading a book and watched little Alia sleep.
"When we last did this, we searched the entire Dwarf Forest, and we didn't see a house near the Elf Empire." Coral said.
"Sophie knew what she saw. Her vision was recent, so maybe when we looked it wasn't built yet." Bree said.
"What if the house is invisible?" Alex said.
"Alex could be right. Invisibility potions do exist, and Hester's pretty smart." Emerelda said. "Hester's also good at making potions, since she has no magic."
"Why aren't the kids here?" Red asked.
"Because, I don't want them in any danger." Conner said. "We're going to do this on our own."
"Why?" Sophie said behind them. They all turned around and saw the four friends.
"Sophie what are you doing here?" Conner asked.
"I want to help. She's my sister. If Alex went missing or something would happen to her wouldn't you go." Sophie said. Bree looked at Conner. She had point. Both of them were remembering the Germany trip they took when they were Sophie's age. The adventure they had in order for Conner to save Alex and his friends.
"He would. He did." Bree said and smiled at her husband.
"When?" Sophie asked.
"We were about your age. We were on a school trip in the Otherworld. That was my first trip to this world."
"Wait, Aunt Bree. Your not from this world." Ally said.
"No. I'm not." Bree said. "I'm from the Otherworld. I met Conner when we lived there. I moved here when he was offered a spot on the Fairy Council. We got married and then had Sophie and...Scarlet."
"Mom, I had always suspected you were from here." Sophie said.
"You know Roxanne? I've known her since high school. Her being our neighbor was just a coincidence." Bree said.
"What happened to your family?" Ruby asked.
"I don't know, I haven't seen them in years. Right now I want to focus on getting Scarlet back." Bree said.
"I agree, let's get searching in the Dwarf Forests." Conner said.
"And we can help?" Ally asked.
"You can't Ally, but the rest of you can." Arthur said.
"What, why?" Ally asked.
"Ally, we have to talk, but not right now." Alex said. "So the Fairy Council, will take the Elf Empire asking questions to the Elves asking if they've seen anything. Red, Goldilocks, Bree, Conner, Jack, Froggy, Arthur, and myself will look near Dead Mans Creek, and the kids near the Corner Kingdom. We'll meet back here at 6."
"Coral will you watch Cody while we're gone." Bree asked.
"I would love too." Coral said.
Alex waved her wand and they all landed in their locations.
Alex, Arthur and Ally were transported to Camelot in the throne room. While Alia was put into her crib in her bedroom.
"Why couldn't I go with my friends?" Ally asked.
"Because there's someone we want you to meet." Alex said. A royal guard came into the throne room with a man behind him, and a boy Ally's age.
"Ally meet the King of Magna Langdon, and his son the Prince Lance." Arthur said.
"It's very nice to finally meet you Ally." King Langdon said. "We've been waiting to meet you forever."
"Mom, Dad what's going on here?" Ally asked.
"When you were born, Camelot was poor. So we had to make a deal with Kingdom Magna." Arthur said. "And the deal was to merge the kingdoms, that means that you have to marry Prince Lance."
"What?" Ally said. She was trying to keep calm, but she couldn't. How could her parents marry her off to someone she didn't even know. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"We, we didn't upset you. Darling we're sorry we didn't tell you." Alex said and put her hands on Ally's shoulders. Ally backed up and looked at her parents.
"I can't believe you did this to me." Ally said and ran out of the room. Alex's eyes started to water and she sat on her throne with her hand over her eyes.
"King Langdon I'm so sorry. She's never acted like this." Arthur said.
"It's perfectly fine, it's normal. Lance why don't you go and see Ally, I'm going to talk to King Arthur and Queen Alex."
"Your Highness, Alia is awake." The maid said walking in. "Would you like me to feed her."
"Don't worry Molly, I'll get her." Alex said. "Ill be right back."
In Ally's room, she was crying into one of her pillows on her bed. The doors to her room opened and she sat up. Lance stood there.
"What are you doing in my room?" Ally asked hiding her face in a pillow.
"Um, my father told me to come in, to check on you." Lance said. "Listen I'm in the same position as you. I had no idea I had been betrothed. I grew thinking I would find someone I truly loved, but I also grew up knowing that my kingdom would always come first."
"I knew the same too. My kingdom would come first." Ally said and set the pillow down revealing her red puffy face. Lance smiled and got her handkerchief on her desk and gave it to her. "Thank you."
"If this is what we have to do in order for our kingdoms to survive, then we'll have to go through with this." Lance said and sat beside her. Ally wiped away her tears and looked at him. She just noticed how cute he was. He had sandy blonde hair, and brown eyes (that made Ally instantly melt). He wore a dark blue suit, with a white sash, and black boots.
"I agree, and maybe we'll learn to like each other." Ally said.
"Yeah, maybe this isn't a bad thing after all." Lance said. They both looked into each other's eyes and smiled. This definitely wasn't a bad thing, it was love at first sight.
