Settling In
The reunited family walked up to their beautiful old home in the Charming Kingdom. After Bree and Sophie couldn't come back home, Conner had moved into the Fairy Palace. There was just too many memories in that house.
Once Sophie saw the house she ran up to it and ran inside. Nothing had changed in six years. Even though she loved her house in the Otherworld, she was truly home here.
"Oh how I missed you old house!" Sophie said as she walked in. Cody walked in after her and was completely in aw.
"This house is way bigger than the one we had in the...the." Cody stuttered. He didn't know what they called the Otherworld.
"The Otherworld sweetie." Bree said. "That's where we were living."
"Oh, so this is where Sophie grew up?" Cody asked.
"Yup, and now this is your home too bud." Conner said and put his hand on Cody's shoulder. Cody looked around more, and saw pictures of Sophie was she was eight and younger. He walked into the hall and saw a huge portrait of Bree, Conner and Sophie.
"That was painted the week we left." Bree said walking behind Cody and hugging him. "We need a new one, this time with you in it."
"It looks like you had a lot of good memories in this house." Cody said.
"This is where we raised Sophie, and this is where we wanted to raise you...but it didn't work out like that." Bree said.
"Is my room still in one piece?" Sophie asked Conner.
"Yeah, I didn't change anything." Connor said. Sophie ran upstairs to her old room and walked in. It didn't change in six years, even though there was now a bunch of dust in it. She flopped onto her bed and smiled. "Now I'm home" she thought. Sophie snapped her fingers and the room was now completely cleaned of all the dust and cobwebs. She ran over to her walk in closet. She saw so many beautiful dresses, but none of them were her size. She waved her hands and all the dresses turned into her size. She chose a purple and silver one and got dressed.
Cody walked around the huge house and almost got lost heading towards the library. He went upstairs and found one of the guest rooms.
"I guess this one will be your room." Conner said from behind him.
"I guess so." Cody said.
Bree came out of the master bed room with a white, silver and purple dress on.
"So how do you like the house Cody?" Bree asked.
"It's really big." Cody said. "You can get lost in here."
"I remember the first day we moved here. We couldn't find anything for a month." Bree said.
"I remember that, and the day we started to work on Sophie's nursery, there was so much stuff, so what was supposed to take a day, took a week." Conner said.
"Are you guys talking about me?" Sophie said walking up.
"We were talking about the time we first moved into this house." Conner said.
"Oh then that's ok." Sophie said.
"How about we have dinner now." Bree said.
"Dinner sounds great." Conner said.
The family went downstairs, and Bree cooked the meal. There was no food in any of the cabinets or the fridge, so she magical made some appear. Once she was done with the food, she served it to them.
"So Sophie, how did you like the Otherworld?" Conner asked.
"It was a good experience. Even though I had a lot of friends, I like it here better." Sophie said.
"Im glad." Conner said. "Your friends that were here seemed nice."
"Yeah, Maya was more of my best friend. Adrien was just a friend I never really talked too." Sophie said.
"How about you Cody, did you like the Otherworld?" Conner asked.
"Um, well...yeah I mean I had a few friends, and the tech was pretty cool." Cody said. "I don't see any of that around here."
"Believe me, I would love to have TVs in this house, but this world doesn't have that." Conner said.
"Oh my gosh!" Bree said and stopped eating. "I completely forgot!"
"What?" Connor asked.
"I still need to sell the house, quit my job, and tell the school that Sophie and Cody aren't going to be there anymore." Bree said. "I'll have to go back tomorrow and do all those things."
"Don't worry about it. We'll all go, I can be your excuse to the school. Tell them that your moving, because I came back and I got a job in Vermont." Conner said.
"Could I stay here?" Sophie asked. "I'm going to catch up with Ally, Ruby and Hero tomorrow."
"Oh yeah! I forgot to ask you something." Conner said. "Aunt Alex wants you to be her apprentice. Since Ally's training to be the Queen of Camelot, The Fairytale World needs a Fairy Godmother."
"But me?" Sophie asked.
"You don't have to if you don't want to." Conner said.
"No, no I'll try it out." Sophie said.
"Great." Conner said.
"So there's like a lot of magic here?" Cody asked.
"Yeah, all the Fairytales that have ever been written are here. Your great grandmother is the Fairy Godmother, and she told the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson about this world and they wrote them all down in books." Conner explained.
"That's so cool." Cody said. "So this world has been around for a while."
"Yeah, it has. Time in the Otherworld and this world used to be very different. The Otherworld would move faster than here, that's why the story's have been around for so long." Conner said.
"Is the time still like that?" Cody asked.
"Nope, the worlds are somewhat equal." Conner said.
"How?" Cody asked curiously.
"Because my dad is from here, but my mom, is from the Otherworld. So when they had me and my sister, the worlds started to go at the same pace, because me and my sister are the first children to be born of both worlds." Conner explained.
"Wow." Was all Cody could say. "I would really like to see more of this world soon."
"Maybe I can take you tomorrow, when we get back from the Otherworld." Conner said.
"That would be awesome." Cody said.
Even though this entire move was strange and different to Cody, he loved that he now had a Dad, and he knew there was going to be many adventures ahead.
