Meeting the Parents
Arthur and Charles jumped out of the portal onto the hard cement.
"This must be the Otherworld." Arthur said. "We must be in some sort of alleyway." Arthur and Charles walked out of the alley and saw tons of people with shopping bags, on skateboards and more.
"No wonder our queen moved to the Fairytale world." Charles said. "This world doesn't look that great from what I'm seeing."
"Come on Charles. I want to find my daughter and her friends and get them out of here." Arthur said. "I remember Alex telling me that her parents worked at a children's hospital." Charles tapped on someone's shoulder.
"Excuse me mister, we need directions to the children's hospital." Charles said.
"Sure dude." The guy said. "It's right down the street you can't miss it."
"Thank you kind sir." Charles said. Arthur and Charles walked down the street and saw the hospital. They walked inside and saw a women at the front desk typing on the computer. She had brown wavy hair and brown eyes and wore purple scrubs.
"Hello ma'am would you mind telling me where I can find Charlotte Gordon?" Arthur said. The women looked up at Arthur and gasped.
"Arthur? Is that you?" She said. Arthur looked at her. He had sworn he had seen her before. He thought for a few seconds. He then got it.
"Guinevere?" Arthur said.
"Yeah!" She said and stood up.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Guinevere said.
"I'm here to find my daughter actually." Arthur said.
"Oh, so you married that fairy?" She said.
"Yes I actually did, and I fulfilled my destiny of being king of Camelot." Arthur said.
"That's great." Guinevere said as she strained a smile.
"So how have you been?" Arthur asked her.
"I've actually been good. I have a loving husband and a great son." Guinevere said and smiled.
"Really, that's great." Arthur said. "I'm happy you found true happiness."
"You too." She said. "So you wanted to see Charlotte?"
"Yes." Charles said. "Do you know where she is?"
"Yes, she actually just left with her daughter, husband, and couple of other kids back to their house." Guinevere said.
"Where do they live? I need to find my daughter." Arthur said.
"I can't do that Arthur." Guinevere said. "It's against our policy."
"Please." Arthur said.
"Fine." She said. "I'll take you. It's least I could do. I mean even though you ended up marrying that fairy, we did date before you met her, and you were one of my best friends before I moved here."
"Thank you Guinevere." Arthur said. Guinevere grabbed her keys and lead them to her car. They all got in the car and drove off.
Once Charlotte, Bob and the rest of them got to the house, Brooke sat on the couch and turned on the TV. Ally, Sophie, Ruby, and Hero looked at the TV in amazement. They had never seen anything like it.
"Haven't you guys ever seen a television before?" Brooke asked. The kids shook their head still staring at the TV. Brooke looked at them weirdly. She thought to herself "These are some weird kids."
Once Charlotte and Bob finished lunch and they set it on the table and they all sat down began to eat.
"This is a very nice meal." Sophie said.
"Why thank you Sophie." Charlotte said.
"So how did you guys get here from Vermont?" Brooke asked.
"Um.." Ally said and she looked at her friends for an answer.
"They got here by plane Brooke." Bob said. "I had heard from their parents before they got here." Brooke could sense something was off. But she didn't know what. Just then the door bell rang.
"I'll get it." Brooke said. She stood up from the table and opened the door. At the door was Arthur and Charles.
"May I help you?" She said.
"Yes, I'm looking for my daughter, Ally. Is she here?" Arthur asked. Brooke let them inside and closed the door. She lead them to the dining room. Ally gasped when she saw Arthur. She jumped up from her seat and ran to hug him. Arthur got on his knees and hugged her.
"Oh Daddy! Your here!" Ally said as she hugged him.
"Oh Ally, I'm so glad your safe." Arthur said as he hugged his daughter tightly.
"Hello Arthur. It's so great to see you again." Charlotte said and walked up to them. Arthur stood up.
"It's great to see you again Ms. Gordon." Arthur said and shook their hands. "This is my friend and loyal soldier Charles."
"It's nice to meet you." Charles said.
"It's nice to meet you too." Charlotte said. "You have already met my other daughter Brooke."
"Sup." Brooke said and went back to eating.
"Do you mind if I talk to the kids in private for a moment?" Arthur said.
"Oh yes." Charlotte said. "Come Brooke."
"I'll go with them." Charles said. Bob, Charlotte, Brooke and Charles all went into another room. The rest of the kids got up from the table and stood in front of Arthur.
"What were you guys thinking?" Arthur said. "You can't just run off to another dimension. You guys could have been hurt."
"We're sorry." Sophie said.
"Now can anyone tell me where your parents and your mother are?" Arthur asked and crossed his arms. The kids all looked at each other. They were all thinking the same thing. They had to tell him.
"Daddy...Mom and the rest were kidnapped by a Dark Fairy." Ally said.
"But don't worry, we have a way to save them." Ruby said.
"We found a spell that creates a wand that will defeat any evil and turn them good." Hero said.
"Guys, I'm glad that you guys found a way to help. But this will be to dangerous for you." Arthur said. "Me and Charles will find them and bring them home. Ill gather up the Camelot army, and Merlin and we'll defeat this Dark Fairy. But I'm taking all of you to Camelot for protection. I'll leave some soldiers to protect you guys if anything. Is this understood?"
"Yes sir." Sophie, Hero and Ruby said.
"Yes Daddy." Ally said.
"Good." Arthur said. "We'll leave first thing in the morning."
"But wait...I just thought of something." Ruby said. "How do we get home?" Everyone thought the exact same thing. Ally then spotted the magic mirror.
"This mirror." Ally said and walked over to it. "I can sense it's magic. I can easily turn it into a portal back home."
"Good thinking Ally." Arthur said. "So tomorrow we'll leave."
That night Charlotte, and Bob set everyone up in their guest rooms. Hero was in the guest room, Arthur and Ally were in another, and Charles was in another. Ruby slept in Alex's old room and Sophie slept in Conners old room. Everything of Conners was in boxes. His clothes, old trophies, and well that was basically it. His pictures and his collection of two books were still in the room. Before Sophie went to sleep, Charlotte cleaned the entire room.
That night Sophie didn't sleep at all. In the middle of the night there was a knock at her door. Sophie sat up on the bed.
"Come in." She said quietly. Ally came in the room and quietly closed the door.
"Hey, I couldn't sleep." Ally said.
"Me too." Sophie said and turned on the lamp. "So we really have to go back home tomorrow?"
"I think we do. My father wants us safe." Ally said and sat on the bed.
"I want still make that wand. I want to say that we at least tried and we didn't come all this way for nothing." Sophie said.
"Me too." Ally said. Sophie picked up a picture that was on Conners nightstand. It was a picture of Alex and Conner when they were twelve.
"Our parents were the greatest heroes of all time in the Fairytale world." Sophie said. "I want to be a hero as well...so...I'm going to find The Stepmother tomorrow. With or with out you guys."
"I'm with you." Ally said. "I want to try as well."
"So we'll tell Hero and Ruby tomorrow." Sophie said and smiled.
"Yeah. I'll ask my dad if we can stay one more day." Ally said. They both smiled and looked at the picture.
"You know you look a lot like your mom." Sophie said.
"That's what my dad says." Ally said. "You know what...you kind of look like your dad."
"My dad says I look like an exact replica of my mom." Sophie said. They both laughed a little and smiled at the picture.
"Well I'm going to go back to bed." Ally said.
"Me too." Sophie said. Ally walked back to the door. "Hey Ally...do you think we could stop being mean to each other?"
"Yeah, we are family and we should get along." Ally said. "Night cousin."
"Night." Sophie said. Ally walked out the door, and and walked back to her room. Sophie put the picture back in the nightstand.
"Good night dad." Sophie said, and turned off the light and fell right to sleep.
