I wait and wait some more laying on my bed. For it to be time, time to escape this living nightmare of mine. As I wait, I silently contemplate whether I should really run away or not. I mean, running away would free from being beaten everyday, but then do I really want to run away where there is no place for me to stay or people to care for my needs? Even if they are cruel people, Bernady and Jules still care for me and express some sorts of care for me, 'cause if they really didn't care they wouldn't have even given me a room to sleep in. My mind drifts over that thought before dismissing it. Even if they cared a tiny bit about me, I would do anything to get away from here. It's sad to think they would be good parents if they didn't beat me so much.
My mind forms a solid decision as I swing my legs off the bed and in one swift movement jump off and crouch down and reach under the bed, grabbing my glitter case and stand up. I was going. Gone. Running away from here. I am not just going to sit here and be their punching bag till I die, so now is my time to leave. I am only twelve after all. I shouldn't be having to deal with this. I tip-toe my way down stairs as I pass Bernady's and Jules' bedrooms. At least I don't hear any loud groans or anything like that, but geez, sometimes I think they forget that they me in the house sometimes. I shake me head at that, grateful for the silence as I move on.
Gracefully fast and soft do I make my way downstairs and down the halls till I reach the front door. It might be just an ordinary door, but right now, to me it looks as if it was radiating my hopes off it and glowing in the light of night so stubbornly shining through the curtains. I grab hold of the knob like someone had told me if I touched it I would die, and carefully open the door,so it would not creak. As I close it behind me,a strong gust of wind blows up the light pink dress I had refused to take off from the time of day and had planned to sleep in,and I sigh in thankfulness that I had been forced to wear thigh high tights under the dress, for the embarrassment would have been to much for my cheeks to bare. I jog my way down the driveway and around the corner to my right. I jog my way to my detonation, 'The Forest'. 'The Forest' is exactly what it sound like,a forest. But this forest is rumored to be filled with mystical thing and such. I don't really care for those rumors, but in the moon, the trees seemed to loom over me with enormous heights, looking down on poor little me as I begin to walk down a well treaded path the shadows the leaves cast down on me. I walked...and walked...and walked some more as the path stared to give way to the greenery surrounding me till it was devoured completely and I was left wandering lost and confused, without any light except that shining down from the celestial being above or way of direction at all.
I sigh and lean on a tree,to tired to keep on walking. Wait...this tree... I've passed it three times before!!! 'This is it...' I think as I lean even more on the tree. ' This is how I'm going to die... lost and alone in this forest..heh...never thought it would end like this...I hope they don't find my body when I'm dead...' my dispare takes a bit of control of my mind as I slide down the tree and curl up, looking up at the starry night sky above. Snap! I perk up instantly at the sound of a twig snapping and bushes wiggling. I crawl back up to my feet with my glitter case wielded in hand, ready to attack what ever might of come to me at such a bad time. A few feet in front of me a small bush starts to shake violently as sounds of what sounds like...whispering? I listen harder to despiser what in the world such a small feminine voice could say, and more importantly what could anyway,so I was completely caught off guard when a small figure dashed out of the bushes and snatched my glitter case from me and disappeared into the bushes behind the tree had I leaned on. It moved way to fast for me to absorb any detains except for the fact I saw a white, yellow, and pink blur from that. I stood for a moment, shocked, before kicking into gear and dashing after it. The blur was still in sight, and so the chase was on.
For what had seemed an hour, but in reality could have been ten minutes, I chased the blur in twisting and winding patterns, nearly make sharp bends that the fast litter bugger could achieve easily. I was sorta surprised that I had managed to keep up with it,I mean, it ran so freakin' fast you could only see it as a blur. What could this thing even be?! I keep runnin as sweat now trails down my face and feet ache for rest. Thankfully the figure had slowed down, and so had I. I froze and stared in awe, not at the figure, but at what was behind it. A crystal clear pond with purple lily-pad flowers spilled in front of a cave that had very green plants growing all around it. But my stare broke as the figure I barely paid attention too jumped into the water with my case. I quickly run over an stare deep down the water, or try to. It was like the water was a mirror, and I could not see a thing on the other side. I bite my lip and without thinking, I dive in.
