You enter the towns library. Even though species other then humans are to be killed on sight, the librian never told on anyone. Besides, you wanted information.

The woman was sitting at her desk, and her expression lit up as she saw you. "Oh, hello, dear," she said in a sweet tone, getting up. "What may I do for you?"

You explain you want to know why the town is like this, and learn some information about some of the people here.

She purses her lips before going to close and lock the door. She then returns to her desk, and brings out a huge book from underneath it. "Before I can let you see anyone elses information, I need yours," she said, opening it to a blank page. "Now, fill this out for me:

You write it all out and it seems to disappear into the paper. "You won't tell anyone if I use a little magic here and there, will you? Then again, if you do, I just might have to dig up something even worse about you... Now, to show you how it works," she said, her information coming up onto the blank pages.

As quick as she opened it, she shut it again. "Thats enough of that. Now, you wanted to know the history of why these new species are here?"

She sighed deeply and looked at you pitifully, although her gaze went straight through you. "Oh, a case of divide and conquer gone wrong..."

"The rebellion got too strong so the King tried to divide the rebels from each other; spreading false rumors and the like...

"The leader of the rebellion got sick of it and played with magic... Now, a human who was not given powers should never temper with magic... Never.

"But, he did, and so he opened a portal between our two realms... Succubi, Incubi, Nymphs, Mermaids, Vampires, Demons, and Witches all came out...

"In his credit, now everyones too focused with these new creatures to bother with seperating the rebellion...

"Nobody knows he did it but me... Well, and all the other creatures..." she said, looking down sadly. "Some of these creatures are actually nice, you know... I have yet to meet a toxic mermaid, or a nymph whos anything worse then playful..." she said.

"But alas, the hunters and guards don't care. They'll strike you down dead if your suspiscioned as one...

You asked whats a Hunter. Almost immediately her expression turned toxic.

"Hunters are horrible, heartless beings. Our head of the royal guard -- Eliza -- almost choked herself to death when she heard there were demons around here. 'I must make this kingdom safe from all evil, ending with those rebels,' she said. You've never seen anyone so mad, I assure you. And then there's Laure... God, she's a horrible one... A free pirate, hates taking anyones crap. She was like Eliza -- Almost choked herself to death when hearing about the supernaturals -- but out of excitement. She volunteered to help kill every mermaid there is. I hear she's even got mermaid scales in her clothing now," Melissa said, sighing sadly.

"Anyway... You said you wanted to know about characters here? Take this," she said, offering a notebook-version of the big book she had. "Bring it straight back to me when you're finished. If anyone catches you with it, you'll be burning on that stake faster then you can say 'stop'..."

The librarian put the big book away and let you out, re-opening the library. "Oh, and do stop by again. I love company!"
