"Kat! Are you alright?" Said Natsu as he leaned over me. I was one the floor.
"Yeah...I'm...okay." I said weakly. Natsu moved forwards, I stayed completely still though I had no idea what he was going to do. He gently picked me up and leaned my back against the stone wall. I smiled weakly at him.
"Th-thanks." I said shivering. I curled up in a ball to try and stay warm.
"Are you cold?" Natsu asked worriedly.
"Yeah, guess the machine sucked all the fire from my body." He smiled kindly at me. Then he reached up and took off his scarf, then gently placed it around me neck.
"Natsu...why give me this?"
"Because you need it."
"But isn't this a present from Igneel and really important to you?"
"Of course it is but you are also very important to me. If lending you my scarf keeps you alive I'd give it to you any day. I trust you to keep it safe." He moved to my side, so that he was sat next to me and then placed his arm around me and pulled me into him. I buried my head into his neck and tried desperately to keep warm. I noticed a scar on his neck that would usually be.
"Natsu?"
"Yeah?"
"Where did you did that scar on your neck?" He tensed up." Oh sorry, you don't have to answer it if you don't want to." I said placing my head back on his shoulder. We stayed there in silence and slowly I felt him loosen up again. He sighed...
"It is a little confusing but Lucy, Erza, Grey, Happy and I were cleaning up the back store of the guild were all the books are kept. I had dropped my scarf on the way in and didn't realise. Lucy asked me where I got my scar from and I didn't really want to tell her because the memory was a little scary for me. There was this one book that was called 'memory days' and it transported us back in time. It took us to the day when I got my scar because I was remembering it. We put on disguises so that no one would recognise us and we went around looking for a way to get back. Grey and I went off after we saw the younger us fighting each other. We watched and I was angry ti see that Grey won. He left and I went to my younger self and demanded that he got back up. My scarf fell off and as I slashed downwards I cut himself on the neck. That's were I got my scar."
"You are the reason it's there?"
"Yeah, I never knew that person was me until that day."
"Okay, I was just a little curious."
"No, it's fine. Are you warming up now?"
"Yes thank you but really we need to help our friends."
"Yeah, I tried to break through the gate without magic while you were out but it isn't moving."
"How long was I out?"
"10 minutes maybe. But without my magic I can't do much. This stupid thing is getting in my way." Then a piercing scream rippled through the basment.
"What was that?" Asked Natsu.
"It sounded like..." I began. "WENDY." Natsu and I shouted together.
"Natsu help me up."
"What?"
"We need to get to Wendy now. I don't have one of those things on my wrist so I can use magic. I can break through that thing."
"But you are really weak."
"Wendy is in trouble. I will do whatever it takes to help her."
"Okay." He said, standing up and pulling me up with him. I winced in pain and Nastu stopped for a minute but I told him to keep going. He placed me by the door and a dug deep inside. I had to find more power to help Wendy. I almost cried out on pain. Every muscle in my body hurt. Then I heard another one of Wendy screams and I snapped. I was so angry that Hamish was hurting her that I could feel the fire burning through my veins. I found the strength to stand by myself.
"Stand back." I told him. He nodded and stepped out of the way. The element bubbled inside off me.
"Dragons unite and roar." I yelled. A massive whirlwind off fire, water, earth and wind charged forward. It burst through the door with ease and carried on to make a massive hole in the stone wall opposite. When the smoke calmed down I saw that I had done a lot of damage than I intended too. In the distance I saw that huge trees had been uprooted and grass and bushed were completely ablaze.
"Maybe I was a little too much." I said aloud.
"Are you kidding that was awesome." I blushed at Natsu's words.
"Thanks." I seemed to have renewed strength though I was still tired and could have fallen asleep with ease but I wasn't going to let Natsu know that. We were about to leave the cell when. I turned back to Natsu with my right hand engulfed in fire.
"Quick, they might be escaping." I heard the guards rushing towards us.
"Give me your wrist." I told him. He smiled and did as I asked. I burned the wrist thing to a crisp and it was left in ashes on the floor.
"Now let's go help the others." I told him.
