Pain seared through my body as I felt the magic drain from my body I screamed in pain.
"Kat!" I heard Natsu shout. My vision was blurry but I could see that he was up, throwing punches at everyone around him. Grey and Erza stood up and started helping Natsu. Lucy was trying to help but she wasn't the best at fist fighting and poor Wendy was still being held with a knife to her throat. The pull of the machine seemed to be a lot stronger than I remembered. Hamish walked over to me, watching my friends.
"They really are stupid aren't they." He said.
"The machine...it's...stronger." I said through the pain.
"Ahh, yes I'm glad you noticed. While you were away we took the time to improve it." He then turned to my friends who were still punching at the Black Viper members. He sighed. "If you idiots don't calm down, your little friend here will be dead." He said loudly. They all stopped and looked at Wendy. They instantly calmed down when the saw how scared she looked. "Now sit down and shut up. I will pay a little more attention to you when I am finished with Katrina." He laughed like he was amused. My friends all looked at me. The sad expressions on their faces told me that I didn't look good. Then a small woman came running in with a panic expression, she wore all black clothing and her hair was of medium length and a chocolate brown colour.
"Master, we have to stop the machine now otherwise it will blow." Hamish's face became one of pure anger.
"What? I thought you idiots fixed this problem."
"Yes we did Master but she is too powerful. She has too much magic energy, it can't take it." I smiled to myself that was it. I laughed quietly but Hamish heard me. He turned to me angrily.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Like always Hamish you have underestimated me." I then summoned all the magic energy I could. I screamed in defiance. I had to break it. Like the woman said, if I broke the machine maybe they wouldn't be able to do this again.
"Quick you idiot shut it off." Hamish shouted at the members of his guild. They all panic and rushed around. Some ran into each other, one got near the button. I screamed again and the part of the machine that had the button on gave off a massive amount of electric sparks and sent him flying backwards. I kelt pushing until I heard a massive explosion. There was a bright light from behind me and then I became limp. It had taken a lot more energy than I thought it would. Everyone in the basement started panicking. Natsu and the others jumped up and ran over to me.
"Kat!" Shouted Natsu as we pulled the leather straps. "If only I could use my fire."
"Natsu..." I said weakly
"Yeah?"
"Please, go get everyone and get out if here."
"And what about you?"
"Leave me, I will be fine."
"No Kat, I will not leave you ever. If we leave here we leave together, we're a team." The other nodded. Grey, Lucy and Erza started trying to pull on the other straps.
"Calm down you complete idiots." Shouted Hamish. Many of them stopped. The other continued to pull of the straps but they weren't moving at all. "Now stop them, put them in seperate cells."
"But Master we only have three."
"Then put 2 of them in one cell. Are you really not smart enough to work that one out." Everyone stayed still and silent. "Why are you still stood her?" All the black Viper members rushed forward to grab my friends and then one of them came and undid the straps. As soon as they weren't holding me up anymore I fell to the floor with a loud thump. I was so weak I couldn't stand. I never wanted to feel this feeling again and I never thought I would have to but there I was...again. The guard that un strapped me picked me up harshly. Then I was carried out of the dungeon into the the place where the cellars are after my friends and dumped into a dark cellar with Natsu...
