The whole guild hall was unrecognisable. The tables were pushed to the side and full of food. At the front there was a stage where I guessed the bands for that nights entertainment were going to be placed. Then in middle there was a large dance floor. There were people already there. I saw Levi dressed in a lovely orange dress and behind her I saw Jet and Droy, arguing. She didn't look happy and I guessed they were arguing over her again. She saw me and waved, I smiled and waved back. Then she looked over to the corner if the room where I saw Gajeel was placed dressed in a white suit. I smiled to myself, it was clear they had a thing for each other.
"I hope Gajeel doesn't try to get on the stage tonight." Grey said.
"Why not?"
"Well, you are lucky not to have heard his singing."
"Gajeel sings?"
"If you can call it that." We both laughed loudly making a couple of people look over at us.

After a while people started moving onto the dance floor. The four of us where still stood on the side drinking and chatting.
"Lucy, would you do me the pleasure of dancing with me?" Lucy blushed and nodded before Loke led her to the dance floor. Grey then turned to me.
"Care ti dance?" He said holding his arm out for me to take.
"Ummm...." I said pretending to think which made him smile. "All right then." I took his arm. I found that Grey was actually a very good dancer.
"Where did you learn to dance?" he asked me.
"Lucy has been personally training me all week." This made him laugh.
"Yeah I bet she has."
"I didn't know you could dance."
"I guess there are a lot of things you don't know about me."
"Guess you are right. Though if you have more strange habits like the stripping one I am nit so sure I want to know." We both giggled.
"You're pretty cool Kat. When I first met you I must admit I thought you were going to be another Erza."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Know you. Powerful, scary, secluded and grumpy."
"Thanks...I think." After the dance Grey held me off the dance floor while I saw Lucy and Loke were still going.
"Grey, my darling." I heard from behind. I looked at Grey and saw that he had tensed completely. We turned around slowly and saw Juvia stood there in a frilly blue dress that was the same colour as her hair.
"You look nice, Juvia." I said breaking the silence but I was met with only with stoney silence. She grabbed Grey's arm and pulled lightly.
"Come on Grey lets go."
"Juvia, I have a date with..."
"One dance." She said pleadingly. Grey looked at me and shrugged a little.
"Go I will be fine." I told him. As soon as the words left me mouth he was dragged onto the dance floor by Juvia and lost in the crowd. I smiled to myself and decoded to go and get some fresh air as it was pretty stuffy in the guild hall with all the people dancing. Once outside I let out a big sigh and let the cool evening breeze cool me down a little and listening to the music from the guild hall.
"Are you not cold?" I heard someone say I whipped around to see Natsu stood there.
"I think sometimes you forget that I am part Salamander and don't get cold." I looked at him and saw his cheeks were slightly red. "Where's Happy?"
"Inside trying to get Carla to dance with him." He said laughing slightly. "Ummm...you look really good in that." He said gesturing to my dress. I blushed.
"Thank you." I paused. "Natsu?"
"Yeah?"
"Why did you come?"
"What do you mean?"
"You said all week you weren't coming to the ball and now here you are, why?" He rubbed the back of his head like he does when he is nervous.
"I got a little telling off from someone who said you wanted to go with me."
"Lucy." I whispered.
"Yeah. I didn't really know if it was true but I had to find out."
"Well, yeah it is true."
"Seriously? You wanted to go with me?"
"Yes, is that really so hard to believe?"
"No, but why me?"
"Because I like you cherry head."
"Cherry head?"
"Yeah, it suits you." He blushed deeply. "Anyway, I have a great time when I am with you. I have more fun than I think I have ever had."
"Even better than the time you spent with Jace?"
"Yes, look nothing is going on between Jace and I. Plus I don't think I can trust him."
"What makes you say that?"
"The thunder legion told me yesterday that they think he is hiding something. That was all the details they gave me but I see reason in their suspicions."
"Why's that?"
"Today Jace lied to me. Said he got this massive cut on his arm from some monsters he fought on his job. I am not stupid and I knew just from looking at it that there was more to the story than he was telling me."
"And this upsets you?"
"Yes, or course it does." Natsu looked angry and cracked his knuckles.
"Then I think I have come business with him." He turned to walk anyway but I quickly grabbed his arm. He looked down at me hand on his arm then back up at me.
"Please don't. I want to know what it is he is hiding and the best way to do that is to go along with it and eventually I will be able to work it out."
"But I bet he will tell us if I beat it out of him."
"Natsu please." I begged. "There might be a good reason why he isn't telling us the full story. Plus I do care about him and don't want to see him hurt." Natsu seemed to calm down as he looked at me.
"Alright. If that is what you want I won't do anything." He said pulling me into a hug. We hugged until we heard really loud booing inside the guild hall. I looked up at Natsu,
"Any ideas what that is about?"
"I have a good idea that it's Gajeel." I smiled then grabbed Natsu's hand and started bragging me towards the guild hall.
"Come on Natsu. I have to see this." I said as we both entered the guild hall together.
