A week until the ball but the way Lucy dragged me around the shops all day you would think that it was yesterday. She was dragging me to yet another dress shop when she suddenly stopped in her tracks.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"I just thought you need to quit your job."
"Why?"
"Because you are a member of Fairy Tail now and when we need money we go out on jobs. You could come on one with me, Natsu and the others."
"I guess I never really thought of it like that. It would be quiet exciting to go on a job with you and not have to sit at the guild and worry that you weren't coming back."
"And you can have more time with Natsu." She said raising her eyebrows at me.
"Stop it." I said before walking off and quitting my day job.

The manager said he understood and was happy that I had finally joined and eventually Lucy called the day quits and we went back to the guild hall. We were just outside the guild hall when I asked...
"Why did we spend all day shopping? My feet are killing me."
"Because we need to look good at the ball."
"But we haven't even been asked yet. What if no one asks and we can't go?"
"We can still go together."
"Just us two?"
"Yeah, a fall back plan."
"Alright then." I said stepping in front if her. "Miss Lucy Heartfillia if we should fail to find a male date would you do me the great honour of going with me instead?" I said bowing like a gentleman. She laughed.
"Well, yes okay then." She said in a high pitched voice. Then Grey walked of the guild hall.
"What is going on here?" He asked with raised eyebrows.
"Lucy and I made a packed that if we don't find dates then we will go to the ball together."
"Neither of you have been asked yet?"
"Nope."
"Shocking." Grey said with a smile.
"Grey, my love." Said Juvia who seemed to just appear behind Grey. "Why have you been avoiding me all day. Will you not ask me to the ball?"
"Err...no, see i already have a date." Juvia looked upset and hurt.
"Really? Who?" Grey looked at me and I shook my head knowing what he was going to do but he completely ignored me. He place his arm over my shoulder.
"I am going with Kat." He said. I glared at him and he gave me a look that said...'please help me.'
"Is that really true Kat?" Juvia asked me with a face of pure hatred and anger.
"Yes, it is." I said. I heard Grey sigh in relief.
"Then I see I have another love rival. You and Lucy."
"No, you have got me all wrong." Said Lucy but she was ignored by Juvia. She stormed of back into the guild hall. Grey took his arm from my shoulder.
"Thanks."
"No problem." I said.
"But Kat, will you really go to the ball with me? I have to keep Juvia off my case."
"As a friend, nothing more."
"Yes of course. Thank you, I owe you one." He said before walking back inti the guild hall.
"Well, I was asked but not by the person I wanted to." I said quietly so that Lucy didn't hear.
"Well it looks like you have a date."
"Aww, you will find one." Just as I said this a man popped out if no where. He had ginger hair, he wore blue glasses and a black suit.
"Loke." Said Lucy.
"Hello Lucy." Then he saw me. "Oh hello." He said taking my hand and kissing it. "And who might you be?"
"Oh, sorry, Kat this is Loke and Loke this is Kat. Loke is a celestial spirit but also a member of Fairy Tail. It is a very long story and Kat is a dragon slayer able to control all 4 of the elements."
"Wow, I wouldn't think something like that possible."
"So why are you here Loke?" Asked Lucy.
"I heard there was a ball and you were in need of a date. As a member of Fairy Tail I am aloud to come so would you go to the ball with me Lucy?" I smiled and Lucy looked at me. I nodded at her telling her to say yes.
"Okay then, I'd love to."
"Then I will see you soon." And with that he said his goodbyes and left.
"See I told you you would find a date." I told her as we walked into the guild hall. Lucy went off to sit with Wendy and I went to get us all a drink. I was at the bar ordering drink when I was approached by the thunder legion.
"Katrina." I turned around and found myself facing Freed. Evergreen and Bixslow were behind him. I had never actually talked to them but I knew who they were.
"Hello, it is nice to finally meet you guys."
"Yes it is nice to meet you too." Said Freed,
"Yeah, especially after you kicked Natsu's ass with such ease the other day." Said Bixslow.
"Thanks." I said smiling at him.
"We came here with reason to warn you." Said Freed.
"Warn me of what?"
"It is about Jace. We have reason to believe he isn't all he seems to be. Please be careful." With that they all turned and left me with a heavy heart and wondering what they really meant...
