After we left the restaurant Natsu and Happy offered to walk me back home because it was getting really late. When we were nearly home I heard...
"Hey, Katrina." From behind me. Natsu, Happy and I turned around to find Jace running up to us.
"Oh hey Jace." I said smiling at him. From the corner of my eye I saw Natsu tense up. What was he so tense about? I thought. When we caught up with us he waved to Happy and Natsu.
"Hey guys." he greeted them.
"Hi." Said Happy while Natsu just nodded silently but still tense.
"So, what's up?" I asked him.
"Oh, well..." He paused and nervously scratched his head. "I was wondering if you would like to grab some coffee with me tomorrow." I was shocked. Was he asking me out on a date? After we only met today? I thought.
"Um..well...I actually start work tomorrow so I can't."
"Oh, what time do you finish?
"At six."
"So do you want to go to dinner with me?" I didn't have a reason to say no but at the same time Natsu was stood right next to me, glaring at Jace. His body was shaking slightly with anger. For some unknown reason Jace had done something to make Natsu really angry and I knew that if I didn't end this convocation soon it might end up as a punch up.
"Yeah, sure." I told him. I liked Jace and I didn't want him him Natsu to get hurt so I tried to end the conversation as quickly as I could.
"Really?" I nodded. "Well I guess I will see you tomorrow then." He frowned at Natsu before tuning and going back the way he came. All the way back Natsu didn't say a thing and he didn't relax either. I could tell Happy didn't know what was going on either because he kept looking at Natsu with a worried and confused expression. Finally we got back to mine and Lucy's place.
"Night." I said to Happy and Natsu. Happy waved goodnight while Natsu sort of grunted a night and didn't look at me. When the door was closed I heard the footsteps of Natsu walking away. I sighed heavily glad that the awkwardness was over. I didn't understand what was wrong with him.
"Kat? Is that you?" Lucy, I thought, maybe she will know something about this...

I told Lucy everything that happened from when I left the guild hall at lunch right until I heard her call me. I watched her face go through a wide range if emotions.
"That is wierd." She said thoughtfully. "I haven't known Natsu long but still...I have never known him to act like that."
"I wondered if Jace had ever done anything in the past to anger Natsu."
"Not that I know of. Jace is nice. He is often out of jobs but when he is at the guild he talks to everyone. He seems nice though I have only talked to him a couple of times. Him and Natsu haven't been best friends but I have seen them talking casually to each other before. But I don't know..." She trailed of thinking. Then she looked at me and smiled. I frowned at her in confusment.
"What?" I asked her.
"I was thinking about the fact you have a date tomorrow." I blushed wildly. "Aww, your blushing." She teased. "But you have to look your best for a date so..." She said standing up from the bed she was sat on. Her hands travelled down to the little brown leather bag where she keeps her keys and she pulled out a golden key. Before I could ask what she was doing, she shouted...
"Open gate of the giant crab, Cancer." She pointed the key to the flour and what sounded like a bell chimed. A golden circle appeared and from it came a crab with scissors. I was shocked because I had never seen a celestial wizard summon a spirit before. She smiled at me shocked expression.
"Cancer." She said turning to him. "This is Kat and she has a date tomorrow."
"Do you want me to get her a hair cut?" Lucy nodded. "Okay babe. I think he need to start with some deep conditioning."

After half and hour Cancer said he was done. I looked in the mirror and was shocked by what I saw staring back at me. My black hair still came down to my waist but now it was smooth and glossy. The dead hair was gone and it didn't look like straw anymore. I felt a huge grin cover my face.
"Thank you so much Cancer. I don't think my hair has ever looked this great."
"No problem babe anytime." With that he vanished.
"Kat you look amazing."
"I feel it." I told her honestly.
"So, tommorow while you are at work I will pick you something to wear from the shops."
"Oh really you don't have to do that." I told her.
"The only clothes you have are your pj's and those ones." She said gesturing to the clothes that she also picked out for me when I was out cold on the train ride here. "And I am not letting you go on a date in that."
"Why? I don't see anything wrong with it."
"And this is what best friends are for right?"
"Best friend..." I repeated the words quietly to myself. It that what Lucy was? My best friend? I had never really had a best friend before. The thought made me happy. I snapped back to reality and found that Lucy had been talking to me non stop the whole time I was zoned out.
"Not to mention you have already been on a date."
"I have?" I questioned her. She sighed and slumped on the bed.
"Come on." She said.
"What?" I said totally confused.
"This afternoon you were with Natsu the while time. He brought you dinner, you had fun doesn't that class as a date in your mind cos it does in mine."
"I don't really know what a date is."
"Well let me let you now today you went on a date with Natsu Dragneel." Then I saw her face light up. "That's it." She said
"That's what?"
"That is why Natsu was acting so weird. He was jealous."
"Jelous of what?"
"That you are going on a date with Jace tomorrow and not him. I think he has the hots for you." She concluded After that we got ready, and went to bed. I lay there in my sofa bed. I could hear Lucy breathing deeply and knew she was asleep. Was today really a date? Was Natsu jealous? And why did I like the sound of the fact that that day might have been a date in his eyes? I never thought I would be one to have boy problems, I thought to myself.With all theses thoughts running through my head it was hard to sleep but me and sleep finally found each other.
